Basketball Hell
(DA -- From the FanPosts)
Now, right off the bat I'm going to notify you that I'm in no way disregarding this upcoming year just yet -- I still believe that pieces will fall into place and we'll end up with about the same record as last year and a 7th seed in the East.
It seems to me that the window of success for the Bobcats will be closing in the next season or two. With a core centered around an aging Stephen Jackson and no franchise player to build around, this team is floating around in what I consider to be Basketball Hell. This is the area where a ball club is either barely making or missing the playoffs each year and consistently picking in that 14-16 range in the draft. Add in no franchise player or true superstar, the inability to draft a difference maker, and the roster filled with bad contracts and mediocre veterans; the young Bobcats of a few years ago that we thought could be built into a contender, have instead become a middle team, one that does not look like can improve significantly or decline significantly, with the latter being more likely.
Bobcats On Melo's Short List
Well if this doesn't make it official I don't know what does. So the question is now; what would you guys give up and and how do you think we stack up against other teams in terms of young talent and expiring contracts. Maybe immediate talent if Gerald Wallace is involved. Would you trade away our fan favorite? So many questions so many possible answers. Lets hear your guys best.
