If you're trying to decide whether I'm serious or not, go with "not." The odds are better.

A Random Discussion for a Tuesday: "So This Exists" Edition

I was pawing through the $4.99 bin in the local Barney Noble DVD rack when I came across this gem: via I’ve never watched the film, but I can imagine how horrible it is. Here’s my...

Todd Snider EP Download for Free

Just follow the link and enter the access code for six previously unreleased songs by Todd Snider's imaginary band Elmo Buzz and the Eastside Bulldogs. (Yeah, I know this has nothing to do with the Timberwolves, but there's some serious love for Snider in these here parts)

Does Sam Mitchell Have a Combative Coaching Style?

Note: I apologize if this rambles a bit, and I know it’s a little long, but I don’t have the time to restructure it. That said, I hope it’s not a waste of your time to read it (because that would...

How LeBron Broke the Golden Rule of Sports

I know this is a little old, but I hadn't visited Ill Doctrine in a while, and this video really amused me. It's funny because it's true.

Expect Ricky Rubio to evolve in the NBA

"And I think that watching tapes of the team and watching [Luke] Ridnour and Jonny Flynn creating shots . . ." What video is Thorpe watching?

One blogger's attempt to separate fact from fiction regarding Ricky Rubio.

Henry Abbott has some kind words about Corey Brewer.

"There are NBA teams that have really embraced advanced statistical analysis. The list is long, and is headed by the likes of Houston, Dallas, Boston, Cleveland, San Antonio and Oklahoma City. If the Knicks were among them, I can't imagine they'd have let Brewer go. And now that he's free to sign with a team really values him, I'll make two predictions: Brewer will sign with a team that is sophisticated in its use of stats, and over the next couple of years, he will make that team better. "

Denver can score.

I know we got down on the Wolves the last time they played the Nuggets. There are good reasons. However, I just watched that same Denver team beat the crap out of the playoff-bound Mavs. They did...

Taking a Shot?

From the AP, through the four letters: "That shows you right there that there's more to it than just one guy. It's a collective unit," Love said. "Stats can help, but at the end of the day, it definitely has to be a full team effort from the coaching staff all the way down." Seems like he's going out of his way to implicate the coaches. Is that just me? I'm not trying to stir it up, but Love seems genuinely miffed about the coaching (which I think we all are), and he doesn't seem to have a problem throwing them under the bus.
