I know this is not a full fan post, but I had no clue where to get it posted, as the shirt design thread is already pushed back and will soon be on the 2nd page, and out sight. So here is a design, I kind of took what certain people said in the comments and designed some arms and hands, Let me know what you guys think, and for Fooch, if you want the master, just let me know, and you guys can have it.

Now you might be asking who, unless you stumbled on the same articles i've read from barrows and maiocco.  Nevertheless, Ed Donatell will be our new db's coach, and I can't be more excited.  Everybody knows that our db's or lack thereof have been a constant problem with our 49ers.  It always appears that they are out of position or not know enough about the nuances of the opposing quarterbacks.  

Now why do I care about Ed Donatell, he has the ability to coach and groom great db's.  Just like Harbaugh can coach a qb Donatell can coach a DB.  He's coached the likes of Champ Bailey and Ty Law, and when he was Defensive Coordinator, his teams were always top 10 in pass defense.  So on a scale from 1-10, how excited are you about Ed Donatell?

The question is more than simple, however, the answer has me hung on a nail.  I don't know about anybody else, but maiocco mentioned in an article about how the 49ers would receive nothing better than the 21st pick if they win the division.  I believe there is a strong possibility of the 49ers winning the division.  However, I know the team is so inconsistent that nothing would come of that.  Yet, there is always that fighter's chance of going all the way.  So I ask this question ninersnation.  Do you want to make it to the playoffs, or would you feel better of missing the playoffs and getting a better draft pick for next years coach...

I've had a full day to digest the game from yesterday, and I can still not get the feeling of disgust from the way Kyle Orton cried after every time he was touched.  He himself and his crying negated would should have been 2 sacks for the very deserving Manny Lawson and Ahmad Brooks.  Both were absolutely ridiculous.  I would never wish hurt on a player, but I was very pleased when I believe Manny Lawson laid a good LEGAL hit on Orton on a big 3 down play and rattled his cage a bit.  I never really saw Orton play before this, but I would never have respect for the way he plays.   

HOWTHEYSCORED'S NOTE: It strikes me that this isn't a Kyle Orton problem so much as it is a league problem. Are quarterbacks like Orton or (famously) Brady doing this more and more in recent years just because it works, or are there deeper things going on beneath the surface?

I was just watching 1&10 in the morning on ESPN and right before it finished it showed the SportsNation question of the day, which was "Which team has been the most disappointing so far this season"  ...   The winner is....  the San Francisco 49ers with an overwhelming 49%.  I believe the second team to make it was the Minnesota Vikings with barely 15 - 20 percent.  I tried finding the link on Sportsnation but couldn't find it.  Hopefully this changes soon...

I'm pretty sure we all have read the article today that said that yahoo's article was not based on the truth.  We also know that Alex will be playing with a playbook on his wrist with corresponding numbers to Raye's playcalling.  According to Raye he said he is best where he is at, which is in the coaches booth.  This brings me to my question...  What if the numbering wristband doesn't work, and there is still a problem on Monday night and the first half is reminescent of the Seattle game.   Can the 49ers move Jimmy Raye from the Coaches booth to the sideline and have him call the plays.  Or is it a set thing once the game begins and no one can switch.  I honestly don't know and would like to.  So if you can answer my questions, please do and thank you.

I'm pretty sure everyone has had enough discussion regarding Nate Davis and his surprise release.  Now the general consensus is that the majority prefers the signing of the Heisman winner Troy Smith.  I do agree with the majority, in that I like the signing of Troy Smith.  I hope he replaces David Carr as the 2nd string quarterback for years to come.  However,  I would have really liked to keep N. Davis.  I believe he is a very natural quarterback.  I understand Coach Sings and the fact that he want's more dedication from N. Davis, and he may not have the right work ethic.  I just don't think N. Davis will clear waivers, and we will lose out on a great possibility.  According to Kevin Lynch, at San Fran Chronicle, Nate Davis has already been claimed off waivers by several people according to his source.  My question to you Niners Nation, is do you want N. Davis to clear waivers, and make the Practice Squad.

In reading Fooch's latest post about the comments of Dolphin Blogopshere, I did exactly what he asked and read most of the comments on the Phinsider's website. I've noticed something that i've notice before during the regular season when we were facing an upcoming team I would go to their SBNation blog and read their stuff about what they think of us and themselves.  The point i'm trying to get to is this...

There is some reporting that the California native linebacker Joey Porter, wants to return to the west coast in some way or the other and be closer to his family, which incidentally lives in Bakersfield, Ca (which is where I live).  Now I know Joey Porter is up their in age, but we he compliment our young linebackers, especially our pass rushers in developing their skill.  We all know what kind of impact Spikes had on Willis, what if the outside guys had someone to look up to in a pass rusher in Porter.  So what does everyone think?
