I have the good fortune to get to write about baseball, the awesomest thing ever devised by man (take that, Renaissance!). The majority of my work these days can be found on ESPN. On Fangraphs, I do weekly chats and store ZiPS projections, the product of a projection system I've developed over the last decade using non-parametric modeling and various statistical classification methods. I'd like to say I scored a cool job because of my utter brilliance, but in reality, I just happened to hang around the right group of baseball nerds in the mid-90s.
