I'm 49ers fan in upstate NY. I think what made me a 49er fan was waching Steve Young and Jerry Rice in the SB vs the Chargers when I was 9. I also loved the simpsons growing up and in the episode where homer starts having lisa make his football picks lisa picks the 49ers cuz "they have heart ". I started watching them in '96. When they still showed the 49ers on TV in NY. My all time favorite team is the '98 49ers. My stepbrother is a packers fan so that wild card game was sweet. Except that play that never happened my stepbrother always brings up. And the 39-38 comeback vs the Giants. Most my friends are giants fans. Anytime they talk **** about my 9ers ....39-38. "look at the sthcoreboad TO!". I've been there from Grbac to Detmer to Stentstrom to Rattay to Dilfer, Dorsey, Pickett, Weinke? Jeff George? nah that never happened. I own an Alex Smith Jersey.
