How wrong we were
I was just reading a few posts from the offseason, and wow, how things changed from then to the end of the season and it made me feel better (anything is better than where I was) about the end of the season. I was looking at the following post and this one from the beginning of free agency. plus a couple others I didnt link. Anyways a few comments popped out at me and I am not trying to throw anyone under the bus but it's great that we were wrong (and come on no one really thought we would be good this year anyways). We thought it was the end of the world at the start of the season, turns out we did alright I think. Next year who knows what's possible. Anyways here they are after the jump
Go Niners!!
Who's over-confidence will be there downfall?
So, probably like everyone else on Niners Nation and the POD blog site I am franticly reading both Niners and Lions posts to get a gauge for this weekend. Super excited for what SHOULD be a great game and I honestly, after taking the fan glasses off, could not tell you who will win this weekend. The only thing that really scares me is if the team comes in so confident that they think they will win just by showing up, like we have seen in the past to countless other teams. Also, after seeing the major league confidence flowing from the Lions fans (and probably ours too but I just can't see that as well being a Niner fan and all) I thought about something. Both of these teams have to have a lot of confidence after their recent newly found success. We have all seen that over confidence will lead to an egg being laid sooner or later. Being that this is another category we are equally matched in, and I haven't seen many people mention, is recent success; Who do you think will be too over confident this weekend thus giving and advantage to the other team?
I have faith in the Coach but the players are still human.
Who would win a Fight between....
The other day I had an debate with a friend of mine about who was actually the better QB (Montana vs.Young). It reminded me of those arguments as kids we used to have about "my dad will be up your dad cause he's". So for no particular reason I was just wondering what the Fans thought of who would win a fight between Joe Montana our Steve Young? Just imagine them stepping into a boxing ring and then decide who you think would win.
Question for the Fans
I have been in the south for the Gulf Oil response. I finally have a day or two where i am only working 12 hour days and a computer connection so i thought i would check in. I was hoping i could get some oppinions on the biggest steps the team has taken during the OTA's and minicamps and what we might accomplish this year so i dont have to read every udate for the past month and half. Thanks everyone for your thoughts!!
