I am a lifelong ( 1976 - Present ) LA Dodger fan!
I grew up in Simi Valley and spent my entire childhood listening to Scully, Porter, & Doggett while playing pick-up baseball or just throwing a tennis ball against a wall. I took my portable radio with me camping and actually rode my bike down to the corner store to fetch a newspaper "The Daily Herald or the SV Enterprise" - just to read the box-scores. I played Strat-O-Matic and pitted my Boys in Blue against the hated Yankees and Giants and played until we were victorious!
I sat at lunch at Sequioa Jr High School and with my contraband "sneaked" portable radio - heard Rick Monday hit his historic Blast against the expos
I Threw a plastic 2 - Litre of Pepsi into the ceiling of my Albertsons (at least I worked there) when Kirk crushed the A's - again on another hidden portable radio.
I have now suffered for 20+ years without a Championship and I trully feel this is the Best Dodgers team I have seen since 1978!!

I still wear #15, as Davey Lopes was my childhood hero and I emulated him as best I could - We both ended up as teachers (look it up!)
