If we don't trade away next year's pick, we might lose this year's 2nd Rounder
Can anyone imagine McNabb extending with a team that plays like we have so far this season? Why would he? Why would he want to spend the last productive years of his career with a team that can get blown out by the Rams? He didn't come here to have few miserable seasons as part of a rebuilding project. He came here to win.
We need to add some talent somewhere on the offense. I don't know which position needs improvement the most: Running Back, Wide Receiver, or O Line... I'm leaning towards WR.
Start Colt !
We've given the incumbant more than enough time to develop and improve. We have to face the facts that it's just not working.
Colt Brennan deserves a chance. He played so well in that preseason game 2 years ago. I say it's time....
Vinny take off your jacket, stay a while.
How good was that win? It was nice to be on top in the 4th quarter, piling it on and padding our stats.
The young guys have been contributing consistently the last few games. Orakpo has his sack stats in the double digits. Thomas and Kelly have been pulling their weight in the passing game. Fred Davis seems like he's just as good at what Cooley does best... being a sure handed target for the QB, and getting open in the Red Zone.
Sherman Lewis' "fresh set of eyes" seem to be seeing all the things that Zorn's could not. We've had back to back 30+ point games. (One of them against the mighty Saints !) With our defense doing their part as usual and the offense starting to click, the Redskins look like a team that is improving. If our starting O-Line was still intact, Vinny's statement that he built Zorn a playoff team doesn't sound so rediculous.
It wouldn't surprise me if he lobbied/forced Zorn to put in the young guys, but that wouldn't matter anyways because most of his picks that were being criticized early on are now playing pretty well. Cerrato may have done enough to save his job.
There will be alot of guys leaving this offseason (players and staff). Unfortunately, I don't think Cerrato will be one of them.
It's depressing.
