I'm trying to take a break for SC hoops until we hear more from Dixon. Did any of you see the Kiffin piece on OTL this weekend? I personally am rooting hard for Kiff. I love to see him ruffling feathers and stepping on toes in the SEC. I really hope he does some damage in that conference soon. 3 months on the job and he pulls in a top 15 recruiting class. If he continues that recruiting success, he will eventually stick it to Urban, Les, and Nick. Fight on, Kiff.

Noel Johnson gains release from USC...

One of the nation's top wing forwards, 6-7 Noel Johnson has gained his release from USC...

According to a source close to his recruiting, 6-7 Noel Johnson from Fayetteville, GA Fayette County, our No. 50-rated senior has been granted a release from his national letter to USC and will re-open his recruiting.

Johnson had been on the fence recently about whether to ask for a release, since the news of possible recruiting violations at USC, but did so this past week and then had it granted on Friday afternoon.

He reportedly will be looking for another school over the next month or so. He has interest in Georgia Tech, LSU, Connecticut, and UNLV, but will also see who else comes calling.

Johnson is an excellent shooter who has the length and quickness to become a scorer at the next level. He would be an excellent late addition for just about any program nationally. Hoopmasters will have more on his recruiting as it develops

I hope so. And, by offering up a paper trail to prove that Guillory and Johnson funneled cash and gifts to Mayo, didn't Johnson just declare his guilt? So, perhaps Salerno's strategy to implicate USC and Tim Floyd is also a bargaining chip to defend a potential lawsuit from USC against Johnson regarding Mayo?

wow, USC should sue this guy for libel. he has absolutely no clue what he is talking about. but, it is amazing how the web sports media take a snippet from any source, credible or not, and run with it. I think the Enquirer does more factual reporting.
