Deion Sanders and his take on being no.34 all time in nfl history. He has quite a few words to say about that.

Scroll down to the NFC East section (or just look at the whole thing) and stare at the unbelievable stupidness that is known as ESPN. They need new writers. NOW.

If T.J. Housmanwhatever gets released and Washington picks him up, their passing attack could become much more proficient. T.J. is still good, so having Cooley and T.J. as receiving threats for McNabb could be troublesome when we face them.

No Al Harris or Atari Bigby. Kolb should have a better time now in the season opener against Green Bay.

Apparently Jared Allen, Steve Hutchinson, and Ryan Longwell had to go beg Favre to come back to the Vikings...I've lost all respect for both Favre and the Vikings organization now.

Bleeding Green Nation Donovan McNabb should learn from Tim Tebow...

"Well, what is this idiot thinking? Donovan McNabb needs to learn from Tim Tebow? Preposterous! Stupid idea!"

Tim_Tebow.jpg Tim Tebow image by kayyrocksx3

Actually, I was watching ESPN the other day. Then one of those little everyday reports about Tebow came up, and obviously, I wasn't intrigued at all considering the amount of media attention he got. But then the reports actually intrigued me. Apparently Tim Tebow, in order to improve his draft status and actually become a quarterback that an NFL team would want, he decided to work on IMPROVING HIS FUNDAMENTALS. So I went on Yahoo and looked it up. Seems like it's true.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Tim-Tebow-will-wait-to-unveil-the-new-improved-?urn=nfl,221406

I love McNabb, honest to God, and I pray that the Eagles don't trade him. However, regardless of whether he gets traded or not, he needs to take a leaf out of Tebow's book and start reviewing the fundamentals himself as preparation for the upcoming season. This is potentially significant because if he learned how to properly throw short accurate passes, then it would basically silence all the critics of him that complain about his accuracy, and it would tremendously help him in the real game as well. The reason many people want Kolb is because he can throw the short quick accurate passes that we need. If Donovan could at the very least push himself pass the average barrier in terms of his accuracy on short passes (and long too even), then it would tremendously help. What do you guys think? Should he take a leaf from Tebow's book and work on his fundamentals? Or should he just continue to do this:

Bleeding Green Nation WOW...Read this it'll blow your mind

Hey guys what's up? I have a lot of free time on my hands actually right now as i don't have school tomorrow or Friday....lucky me! Anyways, I was looking around on yahoo for news about the Eagles, and basically just the NFL in general. One of the articles i found however, astounded me....

http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/nfl/news;_ylt=Akxdn_w8dF8Wi7UiKeVe9p7.uLYF?slug=rotowire-notes_110409&prov=rotowire&type=lgns

It's a big article about basically almost every single team in the NFL and some of the players and whatnot....notes, tidbits, little bits of information. However, if you read the paragraph about the Giants and the Eagles at the end (the author doesn't mention the Eagles anywhere else in the article stupid fool >=( lol anyways whining ceased), you'll see comments about Desean Jackson being probably the most explosive player in the NFL (HELL YES BABY THATS MY BOY), and a comment about Jeremy Maclin as a nice 3rd wide receiver option. The comment about Donovan McNabb was the one that astounded me though. Here's his words.....

"Donovan McNabb(notes) has been up and down this season, but his astronomical 151.9 QB rating at home easily leads the NFL."

151.9 QB RATING AT HOME SO FAR....

Even through two games, he has an ASTOUNDING QB rating of 151.9 at home during his two starts at home this season. I thought for sure this was a sham....but I checked out his ratings at nfl.com and it's legit...he really does have a rating of 151.9 (i calculated it myself). He had a near-perfect rating of 157.2 versus Tampa Bay and 146.7 versus Giants. To me, that is something worth noting. That is unbelievably amazing, better than what you can say for anyone else. Even with only two games, it's really rare to post ratings like that. Against Tampa Bay is not too much of a surprise, but against the division rival Giants, it's something that is noteworthy. Of course he hasn't been consistent as mentioned, but we don't know yet if this is pure luck or not. I think you guys might have thought about this and might have known about this too, but I just had the urge to post it. If you didn't know, well here you go =).... Anyways, in my opinion, I think of this astounding statistic like this....

Once is an accident....

Twice is a coincidence...

Three times is a trend...

Let us see how Donovan performs against Dallas come Sunday Night. If it's anything like a reenactment of 44-6 or an offensive juggernaut blowout against Dallas, then you can say with some certainty that Donovan is definitely having one of the best seasons of his career so far....

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK??

Bleeding Green Nation Whats not to like?

Heya guys. Haven't been on here in a while. Been pretty busy with my schoolwork and all.....though i did watch the game today, all of it. I don't think i need to say anything about this game because it was pretty much an outstanding performance by both the Eagles offense and defense. A closer look....

Offense:

I thought that the offense was astounding, and came up with a lot of big plays. Donovan actually had some very good passes, and actually hit some receivers in stride as well. Very pleased with him. Lesean also came out and performed, especially on that nice 66-yard touchdown run. However, i have to give my main props to Weaver. He jump-started our offense and got us rolling into a rhythm which was crucial for us. That 41-yard run was very nice as well. Desean, Maclin, and Celek also performed well as did various other members of the Eagles offense. Overall, I think that the Eagles came out and performed the way they should especially against a team like the Giants.

Grade: A- (only because of a few sacks and that ugly fumble-would-have-been-a-touchdown-but-we-got-lucky, otherwise, it was all good)

Defense:

I think that this was the area where we really shined. Asante made a nice play at the beginning of the game with an interception that helped us set up a Celek touchdown. Demps actually had our other interception for the game which made me almost scream OMFGWTFQUINTENDEMPSGOTANINTERCEPTION but thankfully I didn't. Defense also made some nice stops against the Giants as well, particularly on those 4th down plays. Very nice job overall by the defense, can't really think of any other specific person right now on the defense that just plain excelled. Well, Sheldon Brown did. Very nice job. As I'm sure many other people have said, PAY THE MAN HIS MONEY! =)

Grade: A

P.S. Believe it or not, the pass-run ratio was actually about 50% if you can believe it. 24 rushing plays and 25 passing plays. Very nice play-calling by Reid and Marty.

Stars of the Game-

Offense - Desean Jackson, Donovan McNabb, Brent Celek, Jeremy Maclin, Leonard Weaver...

Defense - Whole unit overall excellent job =D

Bleeding Green Nation So....

Well i just wanted to know because i was curious....but how do u guys think you'll handle next week? Being a new, young fan and all, i dont really have too much of an idea about how pissed eagles fan get especially after a loss that just came out of nowhere....anyways i wanted to know whether u expect to win against the redskins at D.C. on Monday Night Football (just the right time for you Zorn! Get into the spotlight and make a fool of yourself! Lol jk no harm meant). And if u think we are gonna win (i think we all think we're gonna somehow get either a last-second win or loss considering how the last abomination of a game should i say went). I except the eagles to come out pissed, mad and ready to eat some skins. Being REALLLY optimistic here, i expect the eagles to win by 10 points.....i say 28-17.

Prediction for Eagles-Skins:

Offense:

McNabb (no inconsistency please =P...or atleast come out with a win) - 300 yards, 2 touchdowns, 17/24, and 0 ints

Westbrook - 50 rushing yards, 30 rec. yards

Mccoy - 30 rushing yards, 15 rec yards.

Djax (MA BOY) - 100+ yards on 3 receptions (i predict a long 80 yard bomb lolz)

Maclin - ~50-60 yards on 2 receptions (i too predict him to get some big yardage on a play)

Celek (NO MORE DROPS PLEASE) - 50 yards on 4 receptions, i see him breaking a lot of tackles and playing like a madman after his mediocre and disappointing performance against the raiders.

Defense:

I see Asante and Sheldon each getting a pick with Jason Campbell and his mental problems and troubles with what Jim Zorn did. I mean, it has to destroy a quarterback's confidence and trust in his coach when he finds out that his coach decides to bench him for someone else...i also see one of our lbs or mikell getting a safety and maybe macho too! MACHOOOOOOOOO! I expect 1-2 force fumbles if we manage to get to the quarterback (which we should i mean imo the Redskins offensive line seems like swiss cheese to me. maybe they're good but they are old and that's a killer). I expect atleast 2-4 sacks considering we did a pathetic job in trying to sack Jamarcus Russell last week.......

SO COME ON!! LETS EAT SOME SKINS FOR DINNER NEXT WEEK! WHO'S WITH ME?!

Bleeding Green Nation Mother son of a gun

Wow........Just wow......

I guess the Eagles find a way to pull off a loss that 99% of us were surely not expecting......I mean, i am freaking ashamed at how the eagles played today. 9 freaking points. 13 for the raiders. And i thought that we were supposed to be an upper tier team. I guess thats no more than an afterthought now. Yea yea i know its only 5 games so far we still have 11 more to play, and i also didnt forget the disastrous 5-5-1 situation last year.....

Anyways regardless of this pathetic, lowly, spineless, heart-wrenching, gutless, lousy effort by the eagles today, i hope they manage to kill the redskins next week. Atleast a plus for this week was that all the other nfc east teams lost.....

My opinion of the game -

Negatives first....

Pathetic defense. Over 300 yards allowed to a team that has been averaging less than 200 yards per game. Plus their QB goes for over 200 yards and over 50% completion. Unbelievable, considering that he had less than 50% completion asverage for the season. Also, the defense couldnt come up when we desperately needed it (the 3rd and 10 play where we needed to stop em or we would lose for example).

Special teams shouldnt really be considered a negative, but im including david akers in this, so thats why it earns a spot in the negative column. Although we had okay punt returns and kick returns, and actually pretty good punting by sav rocca imo, im gonna have to dump the blame onto david. I mean, one missed FG i understand, but 2? Thats a bigggggg no no. if we had those back, we would have won. I hang my head in shame at u akers.....

Oh i forgot one thing. Drops. Jesus god, i think we had more than 5 drops by our receivers today. UNBELIEVABLEEE. Jesus CHRIST!! Especially when we needed our receivers to make plays, they dropped them especially that one play i remember where celek dropped it on 3rd down. if he caught that, it would have been 1st down and would've kept the drive alive. And the playcalling! OMG. Im not even gonna go into that.

Positives.......

Welll, the penalties were non-existent for the eagles. Atleast there wasnt a penalty flag every other play, and i think the special teams didnt have any penalties either if im correct. Cant really say much else. Offense was okay, but couldnt get any points going. Donnie got over 250 yards passing, and our running game wasnt the best. However, Westbrook did get a couple of nice runs, but he needs to do that a lot more. Not once every 10 plays. Desean and Celek were mediocre (except for their long receptions, where Desean had a nice 50 some yard diving catch, and Celek had a 40 some yard catch and run).

Other comments....

I dont really have many comments, but i have to say that i wanted to personally f-word the refs in todays game. Screw being nice, the refs were bull****. I saw at least like 5 plays where there should have been a penalty but there wasnt. Freaking bs. I am disgusted at the refs, and at our Eagles....

Well thats what i have on my mind for now....feel free to vent your anger here because i know i was definitely pissed at the eagles and at the end result.

Bleeding Green Nation A New Member w/ some comments

Hey guys im DIBTA (named after JIBTA ;) except im desean is better than asante) and im a new member of the bleedinggreennation site...and of course im an Eagles fan!

i just started following the eagles last year (2008 season) and now im pretty passionate about them. Im still a young kid (only 14) so i can take the profanity but not too much. I just wanted to introduce myself to u guys since i've been on this site for quite a while but i've never actually made an account. so yea...

Anyways since i wouldnt want to bore you guys to death, lets talk some Eagles. Discuss the Eagles vs. Tampa Bay game here i.e. score predictions, player stats, who is gonna blow up the place  (im looking at u desean), who is gonna stink up the place (sorry Ellis but im pointing my finger at u this time...he hasnt exactly been in my good books), etc. IMO i think the Eagles will win something like 28-6 which is a respectable score seeing as how Tampa is....Tampa.

So Discuss! And once again, hey all and i hope i get to know u guys better! lets go eagles! superbowl!
