It is looking like Clemens lied in his hearing. I can't say I'm surprised but did he think that they would just drop it. I understand the investigation into PED's but is this really something that needs to be a federal issue? Why couldn't MLB look into this on their own and save the tax payers some money. I am not against going after some one who is a criminal but this just seems to far out of the realm of what Congress should be spending time on. Wouldn't that time be better spent on real issues like health care and veterans benefits?

As most of us expected Anthony may be on the move. I just found this and hopefully the link will work properly. I know it's not much but it's definately something. I would love to have an idea of what they are willing to give up for him. I really think we could move Reyes, Rolen, bullpen help, and a low level prospect and get ourselves a nice piece of the puzzle we are missing.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?entryID=3140986&name=winter_meetings

Who is going to get promoted to Memphis to take the slot vacated by Rick? Is there a Colby coming to Memphis. I personally think that it's to soon and he's not ready having hopefully just broken completely out of his 2 month long slump. The way things are working in this organization right now I wouldn't be surprised. I am assuming that Spiezer going on the DL is what's opening the spot up for him but what if they have made a trade and are just waiting to announce it. Hell maybe they signed Russel and are sending him right to Memphis. (Ha,Ha) To many ifs ands or buts. This move has really surprised me and I see something bigger happening in the very near future. I think that the point of this was missed. It wasn't about Colby in a sense but something bigger behind the scenes. It unfortunately was not a club improvement but sadly a loss in a sense.

I do believe he still has options left. Why can't we let Keisler go and bring up TC? His numbers last year and this year are just great. He had a 1.27 ERA last year and abot a 4:1 K/BB ratio. He's holding the same control so far this year with a 0.76 ERA through 13.1 ip. Correct me if I am wrong but he did excel in winter ball didn't he? I haven't seen him pitch but with the control he seems to have and being a lefty how long will he have to stay in Memphis? What kind of velocity and pitches does he have? Any information would be appreciated. It seems to me he's just kind of flying under the radar and putting up big time numbers.

Has anyone seen any of the Memphis games. I was really hoping to see a lot more productivity out of Tagg. If I remember right he had a pretty good spring didn't he? This striking out 17 times in 37 AB's isn't going to cut it for long. I wasn't sure if something was wrong with him or what, but any info would be greatly appreciated.

I wish I could figure out why just about everyone is so hot on getting rid of Chris. I understand that his defense was awful but it's still a new position for him. I'd rather have him stuck out there and get some OJT than back down in Memphis not helping the club. OBP.363 SLG.589 AVG.293 these numbers look pretty good to me. I am not going to argue with anyone about this next stat since it's a fact even though I don't expect it to happen again, and don't get me wrong I'm not putting these two in the same categorty but Pujols put one over the fence at a clip of one per every 10.9 AB's. Dunc put one out every 12.7 AB's. Maintaining that pace and getting the same AB's as Albert would have put him at 42 dingers. I am not sayimng he had this power or productivity in Memphis but for everyone on the John Rod boat Dunc's were better down there too. Let's cut the kid a break, put some faith in him, and see how far he goes.
