Golden State Of Mind Baron Davis misses the Bay Area

I found this interesting article where Baron Davis opens up about what happened between him and the Warriors.

LOS ANGELES — Baron Davis said he hasn't had much time to reflect on his sudden and controversial departure from the Warriors. Everything happened so fast.

But Friday, with his first game against his former team looming, Davis took a minute to reflect. He let himself think about no longer being an iconic player in a star-hungry region. He took a moment to contemplate the fact his No. 5 jersey won't eventually be hanging from the rafters next to Rick Barry's No. 24.

"I've never been hurt like that," Davis, now with the Los Angeles Clippers, said. "I was hurt. It kind of gave me like a bad feeling. It is a business. That's the sad thing about it, that at any point and time you can be separated from your family. And it's not that your family wants you to go. It's not that your neighbors want you to go. It's just people who don't really have an effect on the game are, I guess, the people who own the block."

The tone of his voice, the glare in his eyes, suggests he's still not over the bad breakup with the Warriors this past summer. Although he has the contract security he longed for, and he's the star point guard in his hometown, his parting with the Warriors still seems to be a lump in his throat.

From reading what he said in the article...it seems like he's still really hurt about not getting the contract extension with the Warriors. As a fan, I didnt know how to feel about his departure to the Clippers. At first, we were all pissed at him for leaving at the last minute AND on top of that...leaving the Warriors with nothing in exchange. Later, some of us were ok with his depature because we later found out he actually wanted to stay but Rowell didnt think he belonged here anymore.

Now, with the way the season has started for the Warriors, it clearly shows in every game that the Warriors miss having Baron Davis here as their point gaurd. And again from reading the article..Baron Davis really misses them too.

READ THE REST OF THE ARTICLE HERE AND POST YOUR THOUGHTS

i want to know what other Warrior fans feel about this article and Baron Davis

Golden State Of Mind TRADE RUMOR: Jackson to Detroit for Tayshaun Prince

Seems like the Warriors are really falling appart. the loss of Baron Davis, Monta Ellis getting injured and possibly having his contract voided AFTER his 30 day suspension, Al Harrington situation, and now this: a possible trade where Jackson gets shipped out to Detroit for Tayshaun Prince.

i really dont know what to say about this...im just really getting depressed watching this team slowly (quickly?) fall appart. Post your thoughts...

"The Jackson thing gets weirder and weirder: I’ve heard from three NBA sources that Chris Mullin and Pistons boss Joe Dumars had continuing, open-ended discussions about a possible deal that would’ve focused on SJax moving to Detroit and Tayshaun Prince coming to the Warriors."
