The Phinsider Are we Passive?

I am now convinced that Chad Henne is the QB for this team. He not only almost led this team to a victory against possibly the best team in the NFL but he just showed us 1 bad game isn't going to pull him down. I think the only problem we have is the play calling for him is horrible, Like literally noone was open on that 2 min drill. Also why would we run and have our RB and FB still in? I don't know what is wrong and i do not know why we just don't destroy our opponents, we all see that this game could have been a blowout by the Dolphins but Tony Sparano holds them down. I have no idea what to think right now, I love Tony Sparano and stuff but really he got to stop being so passive. I think that's what this team is when we have a lead we're "Passive" I see so much potential in this team but it's slowed down by play calling.

I think next season we should demote Tony to O-Line coach or something and find ourselves a new head coach who will lead us to those victories we all want. I think this is the only way we can become elite we have the pieces but it is slowed down by our head's coach passive play style. His intensity and love for the game is there but he just does not have the heart to KILL an opponent. I love Tony believe me but sometimes you got to cut ties with people, it's like having a GF who has all the features you like but is dumb as a rock, it's annoying. and that's what it is when you see us go for 3 instead of 7 or when we check down instead of go to # 19. I'm not trying to convince people that Tony is a bad Head Coach he's not, he just makes stupid mistakes and if i don't see something change with the play calling or calling timeouts when it is unnecessary then the more im going to want a head coach who will lead us to those victories.

The Phinsider What is Happening?

Tell me please? What is happening to the amazing sport of Football? Really no hard hits, look I know we don't like seeing people injured but these players know what they get themselves into when they go out there. Football is a game of Intensity and Contact, if you don't like seeing hard hits then go watch soccer. I understand fining people for Helmet to Helmet but the fining of these two is just wrong:

Here's what people are saying:

"Plain and simple...ITs just a nice hit and he shouldn't be getting fined for it!"

"Dunta is appealing his fine and I applaud him. By the definition of the rule, this was clean. The whole NFL network agrees. Refs and the NFL just freaked out because of the outcome of the hit. To be honest, this play should not even had been flagged"

"He hit him with his right shoulder and the side of his head. He didn't lead with his head, it just followed his shoulder. Defenders heads will be part of the hit. That's why they wear helmets. If there were no possibilty to have your head make contact then they wouldn't have to wear helmets. It's part of the game. The NFL is just trying to sell more tickets by keeping it's "star" offensive players on the field. Offense sells tickets and all Goodell cares about is money."

"yeah see robinsons on the ground too..its not like he meant to do that..its part of the game if you cant deal with contact go swim or some ish"

You can clearly see both of these guys hit with their shoulders. These are LEGAL hits clean and Hard hits that should be looked at as pure amazement. Feel sorry for the other player sure but these people work out and sacrifice their bodies out there for the fans and these people include Defense players who put there bodies on the line to allow NO YARDS. This is the type of football I love to see, I love seeing a player put his body on the line to play A+ Defense and that's what these two did. Only hits that should be fined are the hits on Joshua Cribbs and Todd Heap but these two are Legal.

And before you say " But DPL you don't know how it feels" Your right i never got a concussion but i play the game of football at my high school and we are told before we play the circumstances of playing football and we accept. I play the game of football because i love it, and in fell in love with it the way it was before they decided to change the rules. People got to understand that football is a game of CONTACT. I understand Helmet to Helmet but sometimes it's going to happen if it was purposely then go ahead and fine but if you can tell that it was unavoidable then just let it be and let some boys play the sport they love.

Leave your thoughts please but i know for a fact and in my heart that Hits like those are from the passion of the defensive player and the speed and power it takes to play in the NFL and i know that before anybody played in the NFL they were well aware that Football is a tough, Physical and Dangerous sport but that's why your getting paid Millions of Dollars to do it so don't complain and go out there and do what you love to do because i could find many people who would love a chance to play in the NFL for a living.

The Phinsider So nice to see this!!!

Just to start things off I really dislike Crackback from gang green nation, talk about a cocky arrogant fan there's your definition. Hey crackback this is what you going to be seeing on Sunday Night:

Alg_jets_dolphins_brown_medium

Dejavu????

Well anyways I know im like super late on this but a read is a read so read it!

Defense.Defense.Defense!!!

What a strong showing from our Defense the last couple of games im defenitly buying a Dansby Jersey. He has clearly made his presence known since we signed him:

At Bills: 8 Tackles

At Vikings: Goal Line Stand tackle

Obviously he's doing what we paying him to do and I fully expect it to continue on Sunday Night.

I also love what i'm witnessing from Jason Allen, what a story. Drafted in the first round in 06, switches to CB and S, many people called him a "Bust", almost loses his job and now he comes in this year and just performs like a first round pick; now that's a brilliant story of what hard work could do for you. What impresses me more is his physicality, he's just a tough player all around don't be surprised if he's the opposite Antonio Cromartie to our very own Davis Island.

That also leads me to another observation: our whole secondary can HIT!!! Proof:

That just shows that Tony Sparano is making this team a hard-hitting Defense, Watch out Dustin Keller.

Chris Clemons is INVISIBLE which is great for us, I do notice him out there though he's always around the ball I have a feeling if a ball is ever tipped he's going to intercept it.

Sean Smith is our very own TE neutralizer, I have a feeling him and Carpenter are going to get alot of playing time.

Misi and Wake are the Now and the Future, not only do they both crash the pocket but they have both improved in the pass and run game. Misi may not be great going up against the best tackle on the opponents team but he finds a way to disrupt a play and what else can we ask for?

Landford and Starks are always great, we got to hope Solai can keep up with the consistency but i have a feeling we are going to be dissapointed in his play tomorrow. Mostly due to the fact that he's going to get tired so hopefully wr have a nice backup for him.

Crowder will return hopefully he hasn't lost any speed because he was already slow to begin with, but you gota love what he brings to this football team and thats enthusiasm and a nice run-stuffer.

I like Benny Sapp I  think we got good vaule from that trade.

Offense.Offense.Offense!!!

This should be Marshall.Marshall.Marshall because that's all I could think about when I think of our Offense, no doubt he was worth the investment. I have a feeling he's due to a breakout at our very first home game can you howl for me one time? AWHOOOOO...

Brandonmarshall8-2-10_crop_340x234_medium

Our O-line has done a very good job so far in the season going up against a BETTER run stuffing Defense than the Jets don't be so surprised to see our O-line dominate the trenches even though it's going to take a bit of a hit with Jerry out.

The RnfR express just keeps rolling, I like our duo but it pisses me off how Ricky seems to fumble at crucial moments. Ronnie has been more effective than Ricky so far but they'll both have their moments don't worry.

Hartline made a pulse last week catching Henne's very first touchdown throw. Bess has been mr.reliable so far and I don't expect any less.

Anthony Fasano has been solid nothing specal just solid but I do like those catches he's been having but how about those throws...

I mean sheesh Henne you didn't tell me you have pin-point accuracy, what else can you do? Henne has been doin what he's been told to do and that's: Don't turn the ball over and personally I agree. It's a known fact, you turn the ball over and you lose. This game should be a little more aggressive for Henne I mean it is Homecoming!!!

Now for real who would you want as your QB?

 Mark Sanchez?

Sanchezcry2_medium

or

CHAD HENNE!!!

91423104_crop_340x234_medium

Believing in Mark Sanchez is like believing in the easter bunny...

Jesus-motivational-poster1_medium

HA for real though i see many great things for this team this year and next hopefully no injuries occur and we still remain hungry even after a Superbowl win!!! Lets Go Dolphins whoop them Jets!!1

The Phinsider Please Stop!!!

This week has been very confusing and kind of frustrating but I'm a young dolphin fan and I'm not even over reacting like most of you on this site. While some of you are just dissing the Front office and the moves they make I'm going to try to explain my reasoning on some of this:

The Release of Charlie Anderson...

Over the years Charlie Anderson has shown only to be a solid back-up and nothing more. Not only was he not versatile (This was the year when they tried him at ILB) but he also did not play Special teams and if he did then he was not very good at it. The signing of Bobby Carpenter had nothing to do with Bill Parcells signing back his old draft picks, this was to get both help at special teams and at coverage for the linebackers. Most people don't know this but Carpenter is a good coverage linebacker and special teams player. He's pretty much here to replace another backup so there's no reason to trip and beside all of this it is said that he could become our Nickel LBer which is something we could use considering that our only good ones are Koa Misi and Karlos Dansby. My analysis for this is: Why is there such whining for this? This is just a backup getting replace by another backup, but the other backup could help out tremendously with special teams and maybe coverage. I see this as a win not a big win but a win none the less.

The Phinsider A True Story!!!

I remember the first time me and the Miami Dolphins met:

I was 14 living in North Carolina and at the time I was never interested in sports, everyday kids would argue over which NFL team was better and I wanted to be in the conversation so I would say: "How about the Dolphins?" They looked and laughed at me, I never knew why tell I saw their record that Sunday, 0-13. I was shocked and embarrassed that I did not know anything about my own home team but that changed after I saw this:

Once they won that game I was so happy and excited that I didn't even care that they were 1-13. Of course they did lose the next two games but just watching that play changed my life forever. Not only have I become very motivated in Dolphin Football and become a proud member of this community I decided to take my talents to Football and try it out. Not only did I liked it I LOVED it, I soon played the 4 major sports and found myself hooked to sports. Well enough about me back to the story.

The Next year I saw a new Head Coach come to power at the name of Tony Sparano, he was at the time a quiet and humble man but I could see in his eyes his burning passion of winning. I was so excited that I ran my mouth everyday about how my team is the best, did I receive negative comments? Of course but that all part of the game. Well the season starts and we start off losing 2 straight was I worried? Of course I didn't know how to react what was worst is that I was alone when it came to cheering for them. Well we bounce back against our hated rivals the Patriots and destroy them thanks to our new weapon the Wildcat, we then beat the Chargers and just to make it easy we go 10-5 with one more game to play. This game was very important because this would determine who would win the Division and this is what I see:

And sorry that music sucks just mute it

I  was so excited we were goin to Playoffs only to see my team get destroyed, After what I first felt as my first heartbreak I soon rebounded quickly falling in love with our new 2009 team starring Vontae Davis and Sean Smith. I was so anxious to see these guys play at the time and I wasn't dissapointed. What also made the 2009 season interesting was the rise of Rex Ryan and his Jets. I hated the Jets since last year but my dislike for them grew once Rex Ryan came, he has something about him that makes any AFC East fan want to just hate him huh I just don't know:

Back111709_medium

Last season is what you would call a new Era because it was the first time we saw our Future QB, now don't get me wrong I was sorry for Pennington but I felt that it was time for Henne to shine and he did just that against our now most hated rivals:

Henne showed signs of Youth at times but also showed signs of Greatness, I was so pleased with his performance that I automatically called him our "Franchise QB". The season ended in disappointing fashion with us missing the playoffs but the season got me excited for many other things such as underrated players like: Davone Bess, Lousaka Polite, Randy Starks, Brian Hartline and Cameron Wake. What also got me more anxious to watch this upcoming season is our blockbuster deals with both Karlos Dansby and Brandon Marshall. After this we had the draft:

So I've been a fan of the Dolphins for just 3 years now and I witnessed more things than most Dolphin fans have seen in their life:

  1. I've seen a 1-15 losing season
  2. I've seen a change of regime
  3. I've seen change of faces (Pennington, Williams, Long,)
  4. I've seen the Comeback Player Of The Year return against his old team and beat them allowing the Dolphins to move forward to the Post Season.
  5. I've seen a change of Era when it comes to the Quarterback position.
  6. I've seen young players rise quickly

Only stuff I haven't seen is a Playoff win and a Superbowl win I can assure you with the talent we have those things are not to far away. IF 2007 was a losing season, 2008 a winning season, 2009 a step back and 2010 ??? My guess it would go back to 2008 just we go deeper in the playoffs this time around. I have a sense this team could do it , I mean why not us?

The Phinsider I Was Right!!!

You guys are probrably thinking what the h***, But let me tell you I was one of the very few who told you guys Misi was the real deal. I know it's only a pre-season game but everyone saw him out there he did everything I told you he did in College: Crash the pocket allowing for a teammate to get a sack,  he can also Cover and Stop the Run, out of all the OLBers in last year's draft #55 will certainly be better and he was a DE! Now I know it's early but I think he shut up Omar with that performance. He can now be called Koa Misi everybody.

7085966

Also if you missed the game here's a clip on youtube showing the someof the game: Game

Now my take on some things:

Our secondary will be fine, Clemons played a very solid game helped in run support and showed some instincts out there. Vontae and Sean played good showed improvement besides some hiccups, Nate Ness is someone who surprised me out there wow he's definitely making this roster with performances like that. I'm really starting to think Reshad Jones is our future SS,  he can hit and he can cover, he did stop that TD run.

Our Front 7 is looking nasty right now, Dansby is undeniably the leader here and wat he and Misi do is what allows wat Crowder to roam around and make plays. Dansby may not be Zack Thomas but he is pretty much going to be doing the things he did when he was here count on it.

Cameron Wake looked very attractive out there as well as: Solai (Major Improvement definitely getting playing time). Starks looked like a natural out there as well as Odrick even though he got blocked sometimes.

Overall a very good nite for the Defense I can't really talk offense because let's face it there was none.Anyways can't wait for next week where I expect more of the same for the defense.

The Phinsider Offense or Defense?

Our Front Office have made many improvements to this football team during the off season and I must say I am impressed with the talent we got on both sides of the ball. Not only do I think we got a complete team with a question mark here or two, I think we are an up and coming Elite team in the NFL. The 2010 Dolphins will definitely surprise many teams this year I could assure you that. Now onto my question: Are you more excited for Offensive play or Defensive play?

Both sides have gotten significantly Better but also Younger specifically on the Defense:

2010 Miami Dolphins Defense

Dolphinsfirstgame_medium

It all starts off with these two.

Our Defense has gone through a drastic change considering we can have up to 6 new starters. The newest starter who I think will have the biggest impact is our newly paid ILB Karlos Dansby:

Dansbyfeet_458517e_medium

Not only did he help lead a talented Cardinals team to a Superbowl, He also has been very productive and has been known to have big games like the one below:

I'm sure Karlos Dansby will lead us to some key turnovers considering that he is one of the best coverage and pass rushing linebackers in the NFL.

The other new starters include: Cameron Wake, Chris Clemons, Koa Misi, Jared Odrick, and Randy Starks, All to me will be just fine. People say they haven't heard much of Koa Misi but while watching some of his highlights I noticed that he was always the one disrupting the play but his teammates finished them, what does this show? It shows that he will break open the pocket forcing the QB either to scramble or hurry his decision allowing his teammates to make a play, so pretty much he's gong to be doing the dirty work hopefully if he develops the way I see him on film.

Jared Odrick has been great and Randy Starks as well but I expect Solai to help him out.

Cameron Wake will become that overall linebacker we want him to be but if not then im sure he split reps with Ike Alama-Francis.

Chris Clemons will be solid for us and I expect him to win the starting job tomorrow, he has all the tools it all depends on his mentality though.

This Defense all depends on the growth of Vontae Davis and Sean Smith: If they struggle then the whole Defense struggles, If they play good then the whole defense plays good. Of course I say this because in order for Mike Nolan's defense to have success he has to have his Corners play man to man in order to send extra blitzers which of course leads to more turnovers. For Vontae and Sean though, I expect them to be alright With Brandon Marshall teaching them some stuff.

Overall

Our Defense looks great and fast, best part is that their young. I fully expect to be a Top Ten Defense this year with the talent we have and will be a pleasure to see more plays like this for us:

2010 Miami Dolphins Offense

Cac_080517_668_wideia_medium

Definitely our QB's best friend.

Our Offense has been taken over by a BEAST!!! Our Robot leader will definitely appreciate that he's with us. Not only was Brandon Marshall the biggest acquisition we've made in maybe decades but he will literally change the way teams look at us. I fully expect to see this out of Brandon Marshall:

I'm sure we'll have plenty of hook-ups between these two:

Chad-henne-brandon-marshall_medium

This Offense will be as good as Chad Henne lets it to be. He could either be Usian Bolt fast and take advantage of all these weapons or he could be Betty White crossing the street it's all up to him. Chad Henne though will eventually be one of the many faces of the NFL in terms of QB'S, soon ESPN will be comparing GOOD Rookies to him.

Ronnie and Ricky will both run for 1,000 yards if they say they can I know they will done deal.

Davone Bess has grown into one of the best slot receivers in the NFL and I expect it to continue with Marshall helping out, Welker like potential. Hartline will make a very nice #2 good hands and speed also brings toughness great compliment to Marshall who will draw double teams frequently.

Our O-line is not bad they just been shuffling around to much just give them time to gel and get accustomed to their position and im sure you'll be happy with what you see. Also it would be nice to have Incognito get better at pulling because he looks like a good run blocker.

Why does everybody sleep on Lousaka Polite that man is purely amazing definitely the best FB in the game right now. His devastating hits on LBers are impressive and he can also run which I don't see much around the league. If he is not in the Pro Bowl this year I will cry. I mean just look at him destroy people:

Overall:

Our Offense has the potential to be what the Patriots wish they could be: A punishing running team with the element of throwing all over the field (Not Pat White style). I will be shocked if they are not a TOP 15 offense this year. I also expect Chad Henne to finally get noticed.

So what are you most excited for this year: Offense or Defense? Sorry for the Long Post and by the way I'm back again ha.

2010 Miami Dolphins are your soon to be AFC East Division Winners!!!

The Phinsider The Best Trio? (New York edition)

Ok last time I logged on I made a post about the best Trio in Florida which was the 3 Kings (take that haters), by 38 votes compared to 37 for the Chad Henne, Ronnie Brown and Brandon Marshall trio.

7616096

Now it's time to make a post about the best Trio in New York lets get it started:

New-york_medium\

Mark Sanchez, Rex Ryan and Darrelle Revis (New York Jets)

Rexryanap-276x300_medium

Headed by RexY himself the jets have two superstars on their roster on both sides of the ball (IDK bout Mark Sanchez). The jest have gone up to become one of the most cherished teams in the NFL (sike). With their superstars leading the field the jets have a very powerful trio.

Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter and C.C Sabathia (New York Yankees)

Rodjeter_400_medium

Ok i don't know the exact trio for the Yankees (prolly cuz im a Marlins fan) but it has to be their two best players and their over-payed pitcher (fell free to replace him). This Trio led the Yankees to a world series win last year, will they do it again.

Amare Stoudemire, Raymond Felton and Mike D'Antoni (New York Knicks)

Amare-stoudemire-2009-12-25-23-10-43_medium

Headed by Amare Stoudemire, this Trio is trying to start a new tradition up in new york (actually wining). Can they do it?

Eli Manning, Brandon Jacobs and Steve Smith ( New York Giants)

Nfl_g_manning_smith1_300_medium

3 years removed from their Superbowl win, the Giants want to get back to their winning ways headed off by this trio they definitely have the power to do so.

Jay Z, Alicia Keys and  New York

Video-shoot-of-jay-zs-empire-state-of-mind-pt-1_medium

If it wasn't for Jay-Z constantly seducing people to go to New York on the airwaves people probrably wouldn't have noticed New York so much when it comes to other cities but it is the big apple and Jay -Z stands on top of it all. Empire state of mind makes even Miami residents want to travel up north.

Well there you have you have it Folks next is: Boston

The Phinsider The better Trio? (Florida Edition)

Ok it's a slow off season so I just decided to make this post: which Trio of sports figures is the best?

First: Dwayne Wade, Lebron James and Chris Bosh

Bosh_james_wade_medium

Without a doubt the most well known players in the NBA now have a chance to play together for a lucky franchise (hopefully Heat).  You could be sure whoever they choose to play for will instantly make them championship contenders and a DYNASTY.

Second: Chad Henne, Brandon Marshall and Ronnie Brown

439x_medium

The Miami Dolphins now have a Franchise QB and a #1 reciever, as well as a 1,000 yard rusher (when healthy), this sets up to be a big year down in Miami but can they live up to the hype.

Third: Tony Sparano, Bill Parcells and Jeff Ireland

44618606-20185002_medium

The Old timers sure now how to build a franchise, these guys led the 1-15 Dolphins to Superbowl bound Dolphins. Tony with his passion and Bill with his decision making make this one fun franchise to watch.

Fourth: Josh Johnson, Hanley Ramirez and Dan Uggla

472720874_medium

The most talented players on the Marlins squad today, they are undoubtedly the current and future stars of the NL and will carry the Marlins to many wins (Hopefully).

Five: Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez and Stephen Ross

Marc-anthony-jennifer-lopez_medium

Definitely one of the most glamorous Trios out there, these stars are not only rich but Adorable i mean look at Stephen Ross so cuuute!!!  Anyways these stars not only bring support to the games but cameras and other celebrities as well (mostly cuz of Jennifer's ass) they have their own way of bringing attention to the fins.

Well there you have it folks, the Five biggest Trios that are or could be in Florida, next up is New York

The Phinsider Starting FS part 2

Friday I released the first installment of starting FS and today I am releasing the second one. Last week we discussed why Tyrone Culver would make a valuable backup FS and a special teams contributor. Today we are going to talk about Chris Clemons:

Chris Clemons, FS, Miami Dolphins

86349447_medium

EXP: 2nd year pro

College: Clemson

Height: 6'1

Weight: 210

Much like Tyrone Culver, Chris Clemons has good measurables to be a good FS in the NFL. Unlike Tyrone Culver he has exceptional speed (4.4 40 yard dash) and has adequate ball skills. Clemons to many people looks lost in coverage but in reality he seems to always be near the ball. When he does get beat his speed allows him to catch up. While in college he was always overshadowed by his teammate Micheal Hamlin which made him drop down to the 5th round. Many scouts had him come in his first year and compete for backup FS and special teams contributor which he did. It's now his second year and I expect growth from Chris Clemons to be at least be able to start in a couple games.

What I Saw:

  • Seems more of a hard hitting FS than a ball-hawking one.
  • Was late to the ball on some occasions.
  • Run support needs a little help
  • Always near the ball
  • Very good Speed
  • Gave up on some plays

Position in 2010: Starting FS/ Future Starting FS

Chris Clemons has very nice measurables and is now becoming more vocal something that will help him become the starter of this football team. He is always near the ball when thrown or ran and has enough speed to catch up when beat. I expect Chris Clemons to start developing into that overall complete FS we so desperately want. Right now he's that Hard-Hitting FS, later on in the year he should be the complete package. I expect Chris Clemons to be the starter this upcoming season teaming up with Yeremiah Bell as our two safeties.

Next Week, I will address on Reshad Jones and where he will fit in our defense.

The Phinsider Starting FS Part 1

As many of you Dolfin fans know we have an unquestionable problem at FS: Who is it?  Who will rise up and become that ballhawk FS we so desperatly need. For starters let me name the players who will try to fufill that request:

Chris Clemons, Clemson, 2nd year as a pro

Reshad Jones, Georgia, 1st year as a pro

Tyrone Culver, Fresno State, 4th year as a pro

Out of those three players, Tyrone Culver seems to be the leader in terms of experience, but not so fast, Experience is vaulable but to be a successful FS now a days you need way more than just experience. In the NFL today QB's and WR's are getting their way more often and having an experienced but slow or dumb FS is not going to help your secondary (Not talking about Tyrone Culver). So to help decide who will be our starting FS by september 13th, im going to do some Analyizing.

First off with Tyrone Culver, Let's begin:

Tyrone Culver, FS, Miami Dolphins

Tyrone Culver is one of the Dolphins, to me, most under appreciated players. He can not only play FS but also SS something that is vaulable thanks to injuries to players. Tyrone Culver is one of those players you can trust to come in and do his best at the postion you tell him to do, but his best may not be the best. He is an experienced player  and a intelligent person of the game, but his speed could be a problem.

What i saw:

  • Although he was almost always near the ball he rarely made a special play.
  • Had problems in run support.
  • Could not shed blockers well.
  • Not enough ball hawking skills.
  • An improvment over Gilbril Wilson
  • Slow at times
  • Late to the ball on some occasions

Postion in 2010:  Backup/ Special Teams

He does not have the neccassary speed or skills (Ball hawking) to be a successful FS in the league. He could very well be a vaulable backup though. He can also play special teams something this FO loves which should leave Tyrone Culver on the roster.

The Phinsider Jared Odrick

Well I im not going to say much because Matty will pretty much explain it but i just wanted to post some vids on him to calm everybody down a bit. here they are:

When I see the vids i see someone who can crumble the pocket and pressure the QB, he definitely has the ability to play NT so stop crying because we found our NT people. Anyways i would fully analyze  him but I'll let Matty do that. Peace and remember GO Miami!!!!

The Phinsider Some Hurricane Love ( No problems please)

Today's edition of Hurricane Love is on:

Graig Cooper

Charleston_southern_v_miami_tgn3obbj-wzl_medium

Height: 6-0

Weight: 205

He is a senior down in Miami is one of the most well known players of the U. He is an explosive RB who could also return kicks or punts. He is the staring RB out of Javarris James, Damien Berry, Lamarr Miller, Storm Johnson (Freshman), and Mike James. He should do well in the NFL as he is definitely a well rounded player, should be a good third round back or 2nd:

Player comparison: Patrick Cobbs ( Dolphins )

Reason for comparison is because Cobbs is a well rounded player who could do it all. from returning kicks to catching the ball he is an asset to our team (Cobbs). I see the same potential in Cooper but brighter.

HIGHLIGHTS:

Next time im introducing the "black Jesus" of Miami:

Jacory Harris

The Phinsider Some Hurricane Love ( FSU and UF fans be respectful please)

Ok today I am introducing:

Travis Benjamin

Travis_benjamin_miami_fsu_2009_medium

He is 5-10/175 pounds

He is a junior and is one of the many talented receivers that Miami signed from Glades Central High School.

He is the starting reciever at the U and is as fast as lightning. He has good hands and is that game changing reciever that many teams wish they had. Unlike his teammate Leonard Hankerson he has had no problems with catching, in fact I don't think he has any problems besides his size.

And this is something new im trying it's called player comparison, in which I compare the college player to a NFL player today:

Player Comparison to Travis Benjamin:

Desean Jackson

Ht: 5-10

Wt: 175 pounds

They are clearly the same measurables and on film look to have the same speed.

And for Last week:

Player Comparison to Leonard Hankerson:

Anquan Boldin

Ht: 6-1

Wt: 217

This one was hard but to me Leonard Hankerson brings his A game to each game like Anquan Boldin, meaning he puts his body on the line for that first or TD (look at highlights).

Highights:

Next Time I will Introduce a RB by the name of Graig Cooper

1636002cooper2_medium

And one more thing it's all about the U:

Hurricanes_medium

And a warning this isn't a war room of any type this is just me sharing some love for my team. You could cheer on your team as well just please no thrashy comments. Thank You

The Phinsider Some Hurricane Love

Yep this is a new post im going to be doing weekly, just for some upcoming Hurricanes who are most likely going to enter the draft. First up will be:

Leonard Hankerson

747130_medium

He's a beast standing at 6-3/ 215 pounds

He's one of the deadly receivers Jacory Harris has at his disposal down in Miami. He's tough, has good hands, and has good speed, he's what we been looking for. He's been knocked on for not reaching his potential at the U, but he's  been trained by Mark Duper,  did you know his position coach in High School was future Hall Of Fame inductee Chris Carter i bet you didn't.

Now some Highlights:

Next time I will introduce Travis Benjamin another WR from the U.

The Phinsider My Prediction On What's Popping this Offseason

This is just pretty much my guess on what we are going to do this off season if you don't agree well then... Deal with it.

First i think we will sign Karlos Dansby so: Welcome to Miami Karlos Dansby!!!! With all the reports saying that Dansby is on his way to Miami this was the easiest choice to make, not only do we need him but deep down in his heart he knows he needs us as well as who else is going to help him win a Superbowl , eh?

Miami-night-miami-509542_1024_768_medium

Karlos-dansby-photo4_medium

My second Prediction: We finally let go of Porter ( Thanks alot Dawn), Pretty easy prediction here as Porter's been wanting out ever since he found out he sucked: News Flash Porter your like 33 years old you still think you are the best: Shut up.

Joey-porter-112608_medium

Were kicking your ass straight out of a Miami!!!

My third Prediction: Someone will use that second round pick for Anthony Fasano. I mean why not he's young and is a very good blocker and when he wants to be a pass catching threat. Someone like the Cardinals, Browns, or even the Titans will use that pick as they all could use a little help int hat department.

I don't think any other Free Agent is coming to Miami unless is someone we never heard of ( Joe Berger) Now onto the draft:

The Phinsider McClain is not the Best

That's right you heard it from me over a hundred times but: McClain is not the best Lber in this draft. He is to me the second best, there is a guy out there who is rapidly increasing his draft stock. He is very confident and is a beast overall as a linebacker. He could play OLB or ILB and he could sing and dance. The person im talking about is:

Sean Weatherspoon

He is a ILB/OLB from Missouri

H/W: 6-1/239

Arm length: 31 1/4

Hand size: 10 1/4

he is an overview from NFL.com:

Weatherspoon is an excellent combination of size, strength and athleticism for the position. He is a tough hard-nosed linebacker that plays with a great motor. Weatherspoon is a solid tackler but not a thumper in this area. He runs well and shows good range in pursuit as well as in coverage. Weatherspoon leverages the ball well with good angles and proper body positioning. He uses his hands well to ward off blockers and maintain gap responsibility. Weatherspoon is an intelligent linebacker that possesses great intangibles that along with physical attributes which should make him a productive player as a rookie.

Poll
Would you consider drafting Sean Weatherspoon anywhere in the first round?
Hell Yeah i want a Lance Briggs

The Phinsider Jacoby Ford VS. Golden Tate

Ok today we just got word that Jacoby Ford had the second fastest time in the combine since 2000. And Golden Tate had a pretty impressive time as well, I just wanted to know what you think of them. They may be small but speed is dangerous and there are pretty good; highlights next.
