Fantasy League
Hey I was just checking my Yahoo fantasy football leagues after an exciting Week 1 but saw for the 1st time in a while the signup for Fantasy Hockey. I think if I'm not mistaken someone on SCH did create a league, if so could someone give me the info that would be great. However, if it is full is there enough interest if I create another league on Yahoo? I'd probably just do a standard league, rotisserie scoring with a live draft a week or so before the season so no one got screwed with a preseason injury that puts someone out for the year. Let me know guys. Thanks.
The Ticketmaster "Shutout" List
Ok this may sound like an idiotic fanpost but I'm just curious how many of my fellow SCHers who are obviously hardcore fans got shutout this morning on Ticketmaster. Forget the first game, I COULD GET NOTHING minus SRO for any game on the schedule during the regular season. Just ridiculous and I'm hoping that maybe some of you that have season tix or craigslist will have a game/extras they can't use/give to someone else. I'm not a cheap ass but can pay a reasonable amount ($10-15 per over face) not $100 bucks over! Anyways I'm just venting but it is frustrating although I'll take this every damn time. And, guess what! The Hawks won't underachieve like another team in Chicago with ultra hard tickets to get! They have ivy at their stadium. Haha.

Need help!
Ok so I'm trying to get a Hossa Premier Road (White) Jersey with the Stanley Cup Final patch on it. Can't find it anywhere. And NHL.com on has the Red with the Stanley Cup Champs which I don't even think the team is wearing. Can someone help??????? Thanks.
Oh and on another note, NHL 10 (Superstar, Hardcore mode) is GODLIKE. Most realistic sim of any sports game out there. If you guys are still playing it post your Xbox Live gamertag and I'll friend you!
Antti Niemi in Skokie
So the Finnish Fortress was at Macy's in the Old Orchard Shopping in Skokie tonight and was making an appearance to sign autographs. The event started at 6 PM and you had to purchase 40 bucks worth of gear to get an autograph. I couldn't make it until like 7:20 because of work and when I arrived the line was around the corner and out the door. Being curious like I am I talked to some Macy's employees keeping order and they said he was signing until everyone got an autograph. How cool is that? It specifically said only the first 250 people would get an autograph but apparently he made it clear that he didn't want to leave anyone unhappy who took their time to come over. Unfortunately I couldn't stay because I was already late for dinner but I did get a picture of #31 and it was just cool to be in his presence. I don't know what is about our team and hockey players but they really seem rather generous. Off the top of my head I thought of the Bobby Hull thing that was talked about early this year. I suppose I might be naive but I look at the positives of life.
Last minute North Suburbs meetup
I made a reservation at the Cubby Bear in Lincolnshire because I can't make it downtown tonight. If anyone wants to join myself and a couple of my buddies, feel free. I got the Kaner "old" 3rd black jersey with a Cubs hat. Got a table for 6 but got 3 coming so anyone from SCH is welcome. And yes, I nervous as shit for this game so let's get an early lead so I can start to breath. GO HAWKS!
Game 3 alternate watch party
I don't know if everyone is planning to go to BL or Glen Ellyn for the game tonight. I doubt I could make it to GE however, I could probably make it to the BL if people are going to go. Otherwise, do anyone have an idea for a north burbs watch party? I'm in Niles. Champps in Skokie is always solid. I got a couple other names on the top of my head but wanted to hear some opinions. Fire away!
Thank you Hawks/SCH Family
I won't bore you guys with all the details but let me start by saying my parents aren't big sports fans. Have never been but obviously everyone is who they are. I on the other hand have been I swear since the day I was born but first remember the baseball strike in 1994 (so 6 years old). I've loved all sports but specifically NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL among others.
For the Hawks, I went to my first game in 1996 against Edmonton. It was the game Ed Belfour punched Zdeno Ciger in the face for sliding into the goal but I digress. I went to a couple games there after and loved watching the Hawks on Sports Channel Chicago/Fox Sports Net. I used to finish my homework early so I could eat dinner (watching the game) and then "relax" and enjoy the rest of the game. Well in 2002, I had some personal problems to deal with and the sport got bland/boring for me (not the Hawks necessarily) but I slowly drifted away. I did talk Hawks though on my radio show when no one else would!
Then after years off and the terrible lockout I gave the game a chance again in 2006 but didn't start following again "big time" until 2007. Ever since then it has been a small burst and then a gusher of excitement for this team/sport. It is now my #2 sport (not that anyone cares) behind the NFL.
And the main reason of my post was to thank all of you regulars here for dealing with me and allowing me to grow my knowledge of the game. I knew a solid amount yes but the "family" over here has allowed that to grow amazingly. I've had Matt and Sam on my radio show and they are awesome guys as well with knowledge to share. It is a privilege to be a member of this board, post when I do and watch this team come full circle. Sure, I haven't been around for the whole time and I wasn't born until 1988 (not as long a drought eh?) but I enjoy this as much as anyone I know and I am a better person for it!
Game 2 Meetup, North suburbs
Hey guys, I won't be able to make it downtown tomorrow night from the 'Burbs and I thought others might not be able to as well so I'm thinking that perhaps some of us suburban committed Indians should meet up. A place that I go to during NFL season, and occasionally for other events is Champps in Skokie. Yes, it's a chain but they have a good wait staff, solid food quality/selection and a load of beers on draft. Plus they are open till 2 AM so this place ain't shutting down at 11 during the 3rd period. What do you guys think? Any interest? I put the info below. Thanks.

Tickets for WCF
Hey guys I have a question. Is anyone here selling their WCF tickets? If so, I am interested in buying a game. For my birthday in January I asked for Hawks tickets in the playoffs. Well long story short I am "cashing in" this round because next round I'll do whatever it takes myself. Of course I can't do 4-5 times face value like some of the jackass scalpers are seeking. And obviously I'll do over face but something "within reason" (1.25-2 times?). If someone wants to make a good haul and help out a loyal Hawks fan and two family members I would appreciate it so much. Thanks guys.
Mobile Commenting
Ok so I heard you can mobile comment from a smart phone? (I have a BlackBerry Curve, the new one not 3G.) First, Is that true? Also, how would I do it? I'm going to be at the game tomorrow and want to see what's up in here. Just shoot me a reply here. Thanks.
AND PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SHOW UP BOYS! Beat the Nucks! Make Lu Cry! COMMIT TO THE INDIAN!
