He was a distraction that an 0-and-whatever team did not need. So why does a first-place team need it?

GM Kokinis escorted out of building in Cleveland
Latest News and Rumors | ProFootballTalk.com
Wow. A new GM fired before a new coach on the same team?
This is so true...now truer. "Fun times in Cleveland AGAIN! Still Cleveland!" (Best video ever)
KSK names Matt Cassel their Least of the Week:
"As for your Least, again, no shortage of candidates. Delhomme. Jeff Reed. Delhomme. Dan Snyder. Delhomme. Frankly, Delhomme is an honorary co-least every week. He’s like the RSTLNE they give you in the Wheel of Fortune bonus round. He’s a throw-in. We’re going with Matt Cassel. Ninety yards against a pretty lousy Chargers defense. Can we say he blows now? He does! HE BLOWS!"

He did have a bad game, but I am still behind Cassel.

Alleged Girlfriend of Larry Johnson Reinforces LJ's Slurs & More
Meet LJ's alleged girlfriend, "Havana Stylez". On Twitter at HavanaStylez: http://twitter.com/HavanaStylez
As the meltdown occurred on Sunday evening, she was retweeting and reinforcing the slurs of Larry Johnson (while adding many more of her own). I have no confirmation that she is, in fact, LJ's girlfriend. This may be absolutely nothing, and I am not claiming that she is in a relationship with Larry Johnson. For all I know, she could merely be an obsessed fan. "Havana Stylez," aka Melly, also lists her Twitter bio as: "I'M ONLY FOR HIM!! THAT IS THE ICON"
However, she has a recent photo of them together, her Twitter page displays both of them, she immediately retweets LJ's offensive tweets on Sunday, she claims to be LJ's girlfriend, she echoes the same themes as LJ did, she goes into damage control, she claims to be able to relay messages to LJ, and she then relays a supposed message, in quotes, from LJ to a Twitter user. [Updated Twitter claim of a relationship at the end of the post]
Screenshots documenting follow (not all in chronological order).
WARNING: The following tweets by the self-proclaimed girlfriend of Larry Johnson contain hateful slurs.

This is it. The new Sherm will pass play calls slowly to the old Sherm who will then slowly pass the call to the slow Jason Campbell.
Over/Under on delay of games = 94. Seriously.
LET'S SOMEWHAT DO THIS SLOWLY AND INEPT!!!

How to Make The Worst Decision in Fantasy History
- Feel free to use this post for any and all Fantasy Football discussion about today
So, in one of my fifteen fantasy leagues, I had a lineup decision to make this morning. Below is how I completed the largest FAILITUDE in fantasy football history:
Me: Hmmm. Donovan McNabb is on my bench but he is playing the Raiders. He is going to put up massive points.
Common Sense: Dude, you already have Tom Brady starting.
Me: Oh, I know, but the Patriots offense has not been great this year and McNabb is playing the freaking Raiders.
Common Sense: True, but "The Brady" is playing the Titans whose entire secondary is injured…and they are 0-5.
Me: Hey, I just saw the forecast for the game. It is supposed to be heavy rain and windy.
Common Sense: It is Tom Brady.
Me: WAIT! The forecast is now for a heavy, slushy, snowy mix with wind. I’m going with McNabb against the Raiders.
Common Sense: Dude, are you serious? TOM BRADY.
Me: I’m definitely going McNabb today.
Common Sense: DUDE??!!
….20 seconds later
Me: You know, if it is going to be a slushy & windy mess that means the Pats will probably just throw a bunch of little screens when they do pass. Wes Welker won’t be able to juke and cut in that.
Common Sense: No...just stop now.
Me: I really should bench Welker too, besides I can put NYG Steve Smith in his place. He is going to score a ton against the Saints in a shootout.
Me: I’m so awesome. You're seeing this great decision making right?
Common Sense: /snarf
Common Sense: /giggle Huh? Oh yeah, I am seeing it.

This realization made my head explode today.
We have no back-up LT/RT. When Smith came in to replace Albert, it hit me...we don't even have a shitty back-up LT or RT, we have a crappy Guard/Center as the back-up LT.
How is this even remotely competent personnel management? I am not blasting Pioli/Haley, but holy crap!
Our OL was horrible even before the start of the 2008 season and has become even worse. How in the hell do we not even have a true, crappy back-up tackle?
Even if Ndukwe was active today, that is only 1 back-up, and he isn't even a true Tackle either.
I just mean...I can't....AAAARRRRRRGGGGH!
If you would like to see the horror in print, just view the Chiefs official roster.
The Chiefs Defense Is Not Improving
From the FanPosts -Joel
This isn't a "sky is falling" post. It is just highlighting that Clancy Pendergast's defense has been horrendous, and we shouldn't allow perception to obfuscate the numbers nor allow Pendergast to hide behind the dismal offense.
The Chiefs defense is worse than last year, or equally as bad at best.
Why do I say this? Let's look at the yards allowed each week:
Week 1: Ravens - 501 yards allowed
Week 2: Raiders - 166 yards allowed
Week 3: Eagles* - 420 yards allowed
Week 4: Giants - 429 yards allowed
*McNabb and Westbrook did not play
While obviously terrible individually, they amount to 1,516 yards allowed in total.
Now let's look at the rancid 2008 Chiefs' first 4 games, over whom we are supposedly improved:
Week 1: Patriots* - 338 yards allowed
Week 2: Raiders - 355 yards allowed
Week 3: Falcons - 378 yards allowed
Week 4: Broncos - 446 yards allowed
*Brady was knocked out of the game early in the 1st quarter
The historically awful 2008 Chiefs had given up 1,517 yards total. 1 entire yard worse than this year.
The natural counterarguments have been:
1. "But, the offense is leaving the defense on the field too long. They are exhausted."
2. "We've been playing against playoff teams."
3. "It's a new scheme and it takes time to adjust."
Rebuttals after the jump.
