When Will Rasual Butler Get More Minutes?
Butler, who was signed March 3 after being bought out by the Clippers, was active for the first time since joining the Bulls. Why isn't Thibs given him a chance to play more? He can't be any worse than bogans..... I was expecting to see Butler get a healthy chunk of minutes at the forward positions against the Hawks. He ended up with only three mins, realistically how many mins should we expect thibs to give him?

The Lebron Soap Opera
Men have always been bewildered by the selection of shows women find entertaining. A typical show aimed for a female usually involves the life of a melodramatic character and it's often filled with strong emotions, highly dramatic situations and suspense. More often then not, the main character will face hardships involving personal relationships, sexual dramas and emotional or moral conflicts. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
It should…
Sport fans have a new favorite show now that "LeBron Mania" as fully swept the nation. It's called The LeBron Soap Opera. All eyes are glued to the television set as sport fanatics across the country await to see how the story unfolds around their new heart-throb…LeBron James.
Every episode seems to reveal some new dynamic added to the plot. We've been taken for twist, turns and loops. And as the story progresses, nobody can guess how the season finale will end. No longer can we tease our significant other for watching Desperate Housewives on ABC. This is a modern day soap opera geared for men and the ratings are shooting through the roof !
If you want to watch this show, just turn on ESPN, It's on 24/7 and it's staring LeBron James who plays the role of the sexy/elusive girl that everyone wants.

Hinrich & Deng's future in jeopardy with rumors heating up... Is Bosh coming to Chicago?
With free agency less then 40 days away, frequent rumors have been involving Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich. Anyone who as been following the free agency knows that the Chicago Bulls only have enough room to sign one max player and we all know who is first on their list (Lebron). Just recently ESPN had released an article of the five teams Chirs Bosh would consider playing for next year- - - Chris Bosh (Wish list).
The notion seems to be Bosh will follow Lebron to whichever city he chooses. And Toronto as made it publicly clear they're open to doing a sign-and-trade if they can get back a player they like. This puts the Bulls in play for the possibility of acquiring both Lebron and Bosh.
Chris Broussard, ESPN The Magazine:Toronto will make sure it gets a sign-and-trade. Bosh is smart enough to know not to go to New York without LeBron or D-Wade. Chicago and Miami have really good chances as well.
Henry Abbott, TrueHoop: In general, it's crazy to think super-premium free agents would be signed-and-traded. But the scuttlebutt is that the Raptors are sufficiently convinced Bosh will leave -- to the point they'll be forced to try to recoup as much value as they can.
J.A. Adande, ESPN.com: All the Raptors ask from Bosh is for him to give them a heads-up if he plans to leave so they can work out a sign-and-trade. It would help Bosh too because he'd get more money. The Raptors aren't looking for expiring contracts, so teams with salary-cleared depleted rosters -- such as Miami and New York -- could actually fall out.
How Will Chris Bosh's Situation Play Out?
The fact that the Raptors aren't looking for expiring contracts plays in Chicago's favor. The Knicks don't have anyone appealing that is currently under contract and by trading away players under contract the Knicks would be destoring their nucleus. I find it hard to believe that New York would be Bosh's first choice given these circumstances.
Miami as enough to sign two max free agents. D-Wade is their number one priority and Lebron is number two. They would be in the same boat as the Bulls if they were to sign both D-wade and Lebron. All their cap space would be used up. Therefore, acquiring Bosh would need to be done via a sign and trade deal as well. Michael Beasley is the only semi-attractive player they could offer in my opinion. That being said, I believe Miami poses the biggest threat to Chicago.
Hinrich and Deng are both under contract. We can afford to trade either and still keep the young nucleus intact (ie Rose and Noah). It's ultimately Bosh's decision.
Tor as absolutely no leverage in this situation. It's a matter of how much value they want to recoup when bosh leaves.

Can Peppers spice up Chicago's defense ?
Buyer beware seems to be the notion swirling around the national media these days after the Chicago Bears forked over potentially $91.5 million to Julius Peppers. Why does wearing a Chicago Bears uniform seemingly cast a shadow around a players ability to perform in the pubic's eye? It happened to Cutler last year and now it's happening again. I find it hard to believe that these same allegations would arise had Peppers signed with a more media friendly team.
Only weeks ago were they describing Julius Peppers as a five-time Pro Bowl defensive end and the top free-agent prize. Suddenly he lands in Chicago and everyone wants to write him off. I can't be the only one who finds this a little ridicules.
Cutler-Marshall Reunion in Chicago?

Who can honestly say they feel comforable with the likes of Devin Aromashodu, Johnny Knox, Earl Bennett, Devin Hester, Jauquin Iglesias and Rashied Davis as the starting wide receivers for 2010?
That's exactly what Jerry Angelo is suggesting. Bears GM Jerry Angelo's comments about wide receiver not being a "need" and is excited about the potential of their young wide receivers. What's scary about that statement is the word potential. This word can mistakenly be misconstrue for production and banking on the premise of potential seems a little risky. And lets not forget about Angelo's track record on evaluating talent:
- David Terrell WR Michigan
- Michael Haynes DE Penn State
Rex Grossman QB Florida - Dan Bazuin DE Central Michigan
- Garrett Wolfe RB Northern Illinois
- Mark BradleyWR Oklahoma
- Muhsin Muhammad (overpaid after one fluke yr)
Did all of these players have potential in his eyes too? The Chicago Bears need to enter the 2010 season with confidence that the wide receiver position will be a strength. Making premature assumptions about two good games from Devin Aromashodu is jumping to conclusions:
- Week 16 Min Rec 7 150 yds 1 TD (banged up Minn secondary)
- Week 17 @ Det rec 5 46 yds 2 TD (Det is Det enough said)
So far little as suggested the idea of a Cutler-Marshall reunion, but it's a tantalizing thought and something Bears front office should seriously consider. Cutler and Marshall were developing into a dynamic duo in Denver and the question, what if..... still is probably lingering in the back of both their minds. Everyone as a price tag and Angelo needs to figure out what that price is in order to get Marshall in a Bear uniform for 2010. Chicago does not have any 1st rd draft picks this year and it will take a ton of creativity from the front office to make this happen. Packaging Olsen and the 2011 first rd draft pick are a few ideas that may create interest.
If not Brandon Marshall then who? Terrell Owens is still available, Anquan Boldin was sent packing for nearly nothing. Denver clearly wants Marshall out. Unfortunately, everything is pointing in the direction of the Bears staying pat with what they have.
Getting Brandon Marshall might be a pipe dream and the probability of this happening seems highly unlikely. Then again who thought Culter would be wearing a bears jersey? It might be wishful thinking to image Marshall in a Bears uniform next year. However one thing is for sure, it's straight delusional to consider Jerry Angelo's assessment of potential a valid reason to be content with the wide receivers currently at hand.
