Spurs assistant general manager Danny Ferry is among those who have been mentioned in connection with the vacant general manager job at Portland.

Ferry is considered to be a strong candidate from his time with Cleveland. And his association with the Spurs during stints before and after his time with the Cavaliers won’t hurt him, either.

IT looks like Portland will get the 6th or 7th pick, unless the Nets loss out which is possible(playing twp playoff teams and the Raptors) and need the Cav's to win 3 games or at least 2 games

Its a Blog not a real report, but it's nice to here what other NBA fans think of our players. So Darren Collison for Raymond Felton, what do you think?

Jason Quick of The Oregonian reports: "Blazers search for a free agent big man narrowing in on 3 candidates: Reggie Evans, Kurt Thomas or Josh McRoberts. Evans has told Blazers he wants MLE, but Blazers would like him at a smaller number. Joel Przybilla says he is not retiring. Says after the holidays he will decide if he will sign a contract. Blazers don't know if they can wait until the New Year for Joel Przybilla to make up his mind, but it may resort to that."

Blazer's Edge 2012 Off season Looks good for the Blazers

Did anybody know if we amnesty Roy next off-season we would be at a 33million dollar payroll? We would have to spend 24million to be over the cap. Notable free agents:

All Stars: Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Dwight Howard, Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook, Steve Nash.

Others: Jason Terry, Kirk Hinrich, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Chauncey Billups, Ronny Turiaf, Raymond Felton, Tim Duncan, Leandro Barbosa and lots more.

We also most likely are going to re sign Batum and Oden. Wallace has a player option, so he could opt out making the spending number 34million, but if he does that we would have four players on roster: LA, Wes Matthews, Luke Babbitt, Eliot Williams.

What do you think? Who should we bring back? Who should we try to sign? Remember we got to fill the roster.

Here’s a full list of free agents: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=FreeAgents-11-12

One of the sources also said the Warriors -- who have nine players under contract, plus three rookie draft picks and restricted free agent swingman Reggie Williams -- will pay close attention to players waived via amnesty around the league. Golden State would jump after some of the names being floated in the rumor mill, such as Portland's Brandon Roy, for a cheap price.

Quick Question, if the season is cancel what is going to happen to the draft. It's suppose to be the deeps in years.

The Trail Blazers are reportedly talking with the Nets about a deal that will send Andre Miller and Joel Przybilla to New Jersey for Devin Harris and Troy Murphy.

That two-for-two swap wouldn't work from Portland's end so they would need to add more outgoing salary.

Przybilla has said that he will consider a buyout or retirement if he is traded and that was backed up by his agent on Monday.

"That will be a very quick and intense conversation," Bill Duffy told The Oregonian.

Przybilla's contract, which does include a trade kicker, is set to expire after the season. Miller has a conditional contract for 2011-12 and he will become a free agent if he is waived by June 29.

UPDATE NO. 2 Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio tweeted this Monday: "Blazers express interest in Sessions and Manny Harris, but not likely to give up anything Cavs want at this point."

As such, the odds may be low on the Blazers landing Sessions

This is a good trade for both teams. Clears time for wes mattews, and gives New Orleans money, talent, veteran leadership. throw in Dante and some first rounders to sweeten the pot.
