I am a lifetime Miami Dolphins fan originally from North Dakota. Many people are confused by how this is possible, but basically I am a fan of the team because my father is also a huge fan. How that happened is also confusing, as he too has lived his entire life in North Dakota. Basically, the first NFL game he ever remembers watching was Miami vs. the Bills. Ironically, he was really impressed by the game because it was in the snow, which is awesome and inspiring if you are a North Dakotan (obviously it was an away game in Buffalo). Miami won that game, he thought that dolphins were pretty cool animals, and then the 70s happened, which pretty much solidified things. I realized that I was also a die hard fan when I moved away, scratched myself, and saw that I bled aqua and orange.
