A man, a legend. In short, Dan Kelly is the epitome of all that is awesome in the world. From the age of 2 months he has had a full beard, reminiscient of some members of ZZ Top or Mr. T. He has always been adept at technology and engineering, and he is credited with building the first time machine, and then powering it by stroking his stubbly chin. A phyiscal description of Dan Kelly will send women (and men) into an orgasmic fury so powerful it shoots out a sonic boom. Long, brown flowing locks adorn a perfectly shaped head with glasses so powerful Dan Kelly can see that you are wearing a thong (and he likes it). To describe his awesomeness in mere words is nothing short of impossible.

"There is a pay-for-play or pay-for-performance system in EVERY locker room around the league." And this gem... "I was scared for my health when I played, so yes I PUT BOUNTIES ON OPPOSING DEFENSIVE PLAYERS' HEADS."
Chris Carter just said this on ESPN First Take... As well as Skip Bayless stood up for Vilma, Smith, and Fujita. ARE WE IN THE TWILIGHTZONE!?
Cowboys ready to deal CB Mike Jenkins after Morris Claiborne pick
We need a corner, could this be the guy?
Misbehaving NFL fans may get detention at online school
"Attention, drunk and disorderly NFL fans: If you're ejected from a stadium this season, you might have to [pay for and] complete a four-hour online class on proper conduct to get back inside for future games."
Brees: Vitt "obvious choice" to take over Saints

Drew Brees, Saints Haven't Had Recent Contract Talks, According To Report
They're not even talking!?!? WTH!! (I hope Chase is getting warmed up and studying his playbook.)
Aaron Kromer Expected To Replace Joe Vitt, Who Is Replacing Sean Payton
Originally scooped by SarahT; I'm just pasting a link for everyone. It's NOT official, but Adam Schefter usually has solid facts.
INVESTIGATE THIS, ROGER!
"[The knock out hit on Pierre Thomas] was the seventh time this season a starting running back left a game against San Francisco because of injury, including Felix Jones of Dallas (separated shoulder) and Jahvid Best of Detroit (concussion), according to ESPN."
Saints would benefit greatly from season with Bill Parcells
"In this role with New Orleans, Parcells would further the education of all the Saints coaches. He'd teach them how to think like a head coach, how to act like a head coach and most of all, how to be a head coach.
This is the best thing that could happen to rising Saints assistants Pete Carmichael or Aaron Kromer. This experience would make them both better coaches."
- By Michael Lombardi, NFL Network
Should Kaiser Goodell *allow* Bill Parcells to step in for Sean Payton?
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? THE KAISER HAS NO SAY IN WHO THE SAINTS HIRE!
Anthony Hargrove signs with the Green Bay Packers.
Analysis: Free-agent DE Anthony Hargrove announced via Twitter on Thursday that he had reached an agreement with the Green Bay Packers, and his agent later told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Hargrove had signed with the team. Hargrove has 19.5 sacks and 223 tackles in eight seasons with the St. Louis Rams, Buffalo Bills, New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks.
Burn The Black Pants... REALLY!
You can buy: LOT OF 50 PAIRS OF OFFICIAL NEW ORLEANS SAINTS BLACK FOOTBALL PANTS -- Current Bid: $ 100.00
Sidenote: I got an email from the NFL/Ticketmaster saying I could buy "game worn" Saints merchandise... but none of the items are actually game worn. I THOUGHT GOODELL DIDN'T LIKE LYING!?
New Orleans Saints agree to five-year deal with linebacker Curtis Lofton
New info: "The Saints quickly insisted that they have no plans to release their current middle linebacker Jonathan Vilma. (Vilma) is still a big part of our team. A top player and leader for us," Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis said."
Should Fans Care About the Saints' Bounty Scandal?
It's a little old, but still a good read. Here's a highlight...
It's inconceivable to me that anyone with even half a brain could watch football—on any level from high school to the pros—and not think that it's an inherently brutal sport that demands uncivilized levels of violence. If you're really outraged by this, don't watch football. If you're outraged because you believe it tarnishes the "integrity" of a game where the goal of each play is to bring a man to the ground in basically any way you can, then you're a hypocrite of the highest order.

Did Giants Strategically Concuss Kyle Williams?
When will Goodell hand out fines and suspensions for this one? (HINT: Don't hold your breath.)
STOP IT!
Stop saying this is a safety issue! Players were not injured! If it were a safety issue, other teams would receive penalties too... but they're not. Stop hiding behind the guise of caring for the players!

NFL.com Free Agency Tracker
It's not a complete and 100% accurate listing of all FA news, but there are some interesting tidbits here.
The best road team in the NFL is...
...the Saints.
I know what you're thinking, "The Saints?!?"
Yes, as a matter of fact... The Saints are the best road team in the NFL.
Certain fans looking to make themselves feel better about a certain upcoming game are harping on the fact that, during this season, the Saints are 5-3 on the road.
In case you forgot, we lost...
- Week ONE to the other "best team in the NFL"
- Week SIX to the Bucs before their shutdown... the same week we lost our head coach in the first quarter
- Week EIGHT to the second worst team in the league... no excuses, it sucked... hard
So... We've only won 62.5% of our road games.
But, as any junior mathmatician will tell you, that's an extremely small sample size. So, let's expand that a little bit.
In the last three seasons, we've played 26 away games... 8 regular season games per season, one playoff game, and one Super Bowl.
We've won 18 of those 26 games - aka 18-6.
No team in those three seasons has a better road record!
And, we're TWO games ahead of second place... the Packers and the Steelers are tied for second.
Sample size still too small for ya?
Let's expand it to the last five seasons. Where do we rank then?
Third in the NFL on the road in the last five season. Yes, that's right... Third!
So, let's put all this junk to rest, shall we?

Saints get down and dirty in win
"Run it, run it, run a play. Stay out here."
Those were the words the Detroit Lions defensive linemen were hurtling across the line of scrimmage as New Orleans lined up to go for it on 4th-and-inches from their own 38 and leading by a field goal with 6:26 to play in the third quarter Saturday.
It was not until quarterback Drew Brees procured the necessary two yards that the Saints linemen really started talking back, taunting Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley like I can only imagine.
"You got what you wanted. Be careful what you wish for," Saints left guard Carl Nicks recounted.

Featured Poll: Discussion
I just noticed the "Featured Poll" in the right column and cast my vote... I was very surprised to see the current results - 60% of respondents feel the 2011 regular season was better than that of 2009.
REALLY!?!?!? I'd love to hear why... besides, it's the most recent.

WHO DAT!!! I get the game (along with half the country)!
PFF - Offensive Lines: Mid-Season Report
2. New Orleans Saints
Rank: Pass Blocking = 5th, Run Blocking = 5th, Penalties = 3rd
The Saints’ line has been extremely consistent, and worryingly for opponents, is really hitting its stride. Replacing Jon Stinchcomb with Zach Strief has helped, as has the emergence of Brian De La Puente. They may have lucked into it with Olin Kreutz walking away, but it led to them being able to match ‘DLP’ (let’s see if that will catch on) up with the ever excellent Carl Nicks and Jahri Evans to form the best interior in the league. Props as well to Jermon Bushrod for his improved play.
"Peyton Manning: Our 2011 MVP"
It's tiny, but you can read the cover of the new NFL Magazine... LMAO!!
