I live for Blue Jackets hockey. I'm here to write alongside the tremendous crew at The Cannon. In my "free" time from my day job, I chase my infant son around, and am also a full-on music enthusiast, including a previous five-year stint as the drummer in a local Columbus rock band. I enjoy hitting the ice as well, and can often be found at the Chiller North in Columbus working on my skating and/or (lack of) hockey playing skills.

2:13 Of Pure Hell

Columbus returned to Nationwide with a tenuous hold on home-ice advantage, and staked themselves to a very early 2-0 lead. But, three goals in a 2:13 span in the third period sealed their fate as the Penguins wrested back the series lead.

Take Another Step Forward

The Jackets proved many things to themselves, the Penguins, and their collective doubters. Now, they return home to Nationwide Arena with a chance to take another step toward playoff glory.

Finish The Right Way

The Jackets are still alive for any of the three possible playoffs spots, provided Philly continues to struggle and, well, provided the Jackets can beat the lowly Panthers.

Game Thread #81 - Blue Jackets vs. Lightning

Just keep winning, boys!

In, But (Hopefully) Not Done

The Jackets Are In The Playoffs! - Random Musings

Somewhere in my brain, I think there might be a coherent, long-winded reflective post about the Jackets making it back to the playoffs two years after a complete implosion. But, I just haven't...

Playoff Update - 4/10/14

The Jackets are playoff-bound! With that in mind, we're switching up the format of this series, to focus on seeding.

Game Thread #65 - Blue Jackets vs. Stars

Yes, I'm organizing it as Game #65, because it was. Thus, it is.

Well, At Least It's 1-0!

Obviously, no malice is intended toward the previous game and what happened (and any perceived is directed at the NHL itself), but we finally get to put this game to bed.

Playoff Update - 4/9/14

In which we say fare-thee-well to Carolina, Ottawa, and Toronto... oh, also, win tonight and the Jackets are IN.

Close It Out In Style

The Jackets end their home slate tonight as the Coyotes come to town. Two points would put Columbus ever so close to clinching the right to have at least two more games at NWA.

Thank you, dear, sweet Calgary Flames!
