No known interesting facts. Non-interesting facts: married, one grown daughter. The census dictates that cats don't count as family but I think they probably should. Writer, Architect in Upstate New York, now prematurely retired due to disability (rheumatoid arthritis).
Fan of the Kansas City Chiefs since 1970. The history of the Chiefs is synonymous with the history of Lamar Hunt and the AFL. Lamar Hunt was class and brash, and so too are his creations, and for that I have undying respect and admiration. I long for the day I can pilgrimage to the New Arrowhead. That would be a special day.

RT @caplannfl: TE Tony Moeaki placed on IR ... The most devastating roster move for any offense this weekend.

Yep, it's a big hurt all right. Crap.

Missed Tackles: [Of players ineligible for the list with fewer than 75 tackles,] worth mentioning in this regard is the Chiefs’ Tyson Jackson. Underwhelming as he may have been so far for Kansas City, he has yet to miss a tackle in 55 attempts in the NFL...

Top 15 Best DLs include Shaun Smith
Top 15 Best LBs include Tamba Hali

Worst DL in NFL is UFA Amobi Okoye. Buyer beware.
2nd worst LB in NFL is Corey Mays.
Missed tackles give fans screaming nightmares, as the defensive equivalent to dropped passes.
Tackle Attempts-per-Miss reveals solid KC defenders.
Rare Company: Since 1998, LB Tamba Hali (2010) and S Eric Berry (2010) are only the 3rd and 4th Chiefs defensive players to make the Pro Bowl, joining DE Jared Allen (2007) and S Jerome Woods (2003).
Nice work gentlemen, and thank you Romeo Crennel.

Chiefs are the only AFC playoff team to lose in week 17.
NE, PIT, BAL, NYJ, IND all win. No momentum for KC whatsoever.
George Whitfield, a quarterback coach from San Diego, was hired by Roethlisberger's agent, Ryan Tollner, to work privately with Roethlisberger for his four weeks away from the Steelers. Whitfield commutes from California each week and tries to simulate a regular Wednesday-Thursday-Friday practice week at a high school in Pittsburgh. Sometimes Roethlisberger throws to the likes of former NFLer Devard Darling, who lives in the area, and sometimes he uses high school kids.
SI's Tuesday Morning Quarterback
Looks like former Chiefs receiver DvD got some work. Sort of.
7. I think the recent drafts of the Chiefs -- pre- and post-Pioli -- paid off big last night. Four No. 1 draft choices (Derrick Johnson, Eric Berry, Glenn Dorsey, Tyson Jackson) were the top four tacklers in the 21-14 upset of the Chargers -- 12 tackles and six, six, six, respectively. As much as we've criticized the regime of Carl Peterson and Bill Kuharich, they should get some credit for the great play of Johnson and Dorsey last night.

Talent, Preparation, Luck
How will the Chiefs perform this season? The cusp of regular-season play always begets Prognostication Week, with ranking lists and season predictions and face-offs between the rabid Kool-Aid-ers and the gloomy We'llStillSuck-ers.
When I look at the basic ingredients for success - Talent, Preparation and Luck - I am encouraged and have hope.
