Incident: Public Intoxication during #EpicDec

Location of Incident: The Worst Bar in the History of EVER.

Date of Report: 18 December 2011

At approximately 0940 Hours on the 18th of December, 2011, Donut King, BluesMay, and CrossCheckRaise met with DanGNR in their hotel room in Nashville, TN to discuss the previous evenings activities. (Some are referring to these activities as #EpicDec) During said discussions, Mr. King noted his lack of recollection of the previous evenings activities. It should be noted the time of this incident was immediately following the Blues vs sexual Predators game at the Gaylord Arena in downtown Nashville TN.

Mr. King's exact quote:

Man, I can't remember anything after we got to the bar last night.

Immediately following Mr. King's statement, Mr. GNR* informed Mr. King and the others there was physical evidence of Mr. King's activities at said bar during the time he reported this lack of recollection. Specifically, Mr. GNR informed Mr. King that he had video of Mr. King's activities during the period in question.

Mr. GNR's exact quote:

You don't remember? Well I have video of you from last night.

Immediately after being informed of this evidence, a photo of Mr. King's face was taken and is posted below for reference.

It seems there are plenty of people seeking more Fantasy hockey leagues to join. I missed my invite to our usual SLGT "A" league I've been in for the past few years.

The leagues I am referring to were restarted by Hildy. See this post.

The solution? Create yet another league, right?

My goal is to create a similar league as the "A" "B" and "C" league from last year with the top few teams from each.

Why? To keep the competition close and keep an active and interested group of managers.

If you played any of the 3 or 4 SLGT leagues Hildy set up last year, and finished in the top half of your league, let me know and you can join my league I just created. Not sure the easiest way yet, this is the 1st time I've been a commissioner.

Again, I want to stress, I want this league to be active, fun, and competitive. In order to do this, I am going to try and limit it to 16 teams instead of the depleting 20 teams with a zillion players on each. I might tweak another setting or two, if most of the managers agree.

So if you finished in the top third or half of your league, let me know if you want to join yet another league.

Keep in mind, this is my 1st attempt at setting a FHL up. So have some patience.

After a couple or three days, I'll open the league up to other interested parties til we get to no more than 16.

My mother-in-law purchased the personalized Blues emblem license plate for me for Christmas.
Now I need to come up with the personalized letters that are, of course, SLGT themed.

Ideally, one of the two below would be my choice, but I suspect the schmucks at the DMV wouldn't approve it.

      

So I come to SLGT nation for help in deciding what would be perfect for the 6 letter/number limit.

My 1st few choices were fairly obvious and might please Juan Mallagher and Brad Lee (I hope).

SLGT, GMTIME, JSELKE, SLNT-J

However, I would think that the SLGT minds out there can be quite creative.

What I am looking for is something that ALL SLGT fans would easily understand as being SLGT related.
Ideally, I would like it to be easily explained to those that ask what the hell it means.

For those that don't know the rules for Missouri personalized plates, I will quote them below. For those that don't want to waste their time reading the blockquote below, it says 6 characters, or 5 characters plus a dash or apostrophe. Oh and don't offend ANYONE. Ya, I know, but I bet we can get around that.

Please post in the comments your ideas and suggestions. I expect lots of ideas for this.

If there are enough suggestions, I'll create a poll to decide.

Attendance was listed as 20,066. I think there were a lot of fans dressed as seats then. There were MANY empty seats that remained empty throughout the game in the few rows we could see during the game.

You guys didn't make the 1K mark due to DK missing the game apparently.
(A lot of AZ residence also missed the game, but 9,412 made it though.)

A few thoughts on the game:

Lots of diving going on, but none called.
Even though we gotz a PP goal, our PP still suckages.
and now our PK suckages too... fuck.
Even though 10, 22, and 42 scored, it was not enough.
Even though we saw Bam Bam (or Cam Smash) finally get a decent tilt in the books, he didn't do too well.
I have started listening to the radio call instead of the TV call. Sorry, JK, DP, and BF, but CK and KC get my attention during games.

Time for a unsolicited personal opinion. I hate Glass Monkeys. Ya know the people that think because they spent some coin on glass seats gives them the right to pound on the glass every few minutes. I don't have issue with them pounding the glass after a goal such as the one pictured below.  Just the ones that bang away during slow periods of play that essentially says "HEY all you cheap as fuckers, look at me."

 

Now, for the stats.  Only 40 commentors, yet a shitload more comments... nicely done.

One of the advantages to being Blues season ticket holder, is you become friends with your seatmates and learn their names, specialties and passions.

I'm not sure if this fine gentleman wants his info shared, so I will call him Rick.

Rick has a laser engraving machine and has done some work for me in the past. He has excellent skills at what he does. If you don't remember some of his previous work, look here. These were plastered around DrinkScotch center during or playoff run a couple of years ago.

During the Sharks game last Thursday, Rick was selected as the Season Ticket Holder of the game and was featured on the HD JumboTV at center ice. If you weren't paying close enough attention to the image, I took the following (horrible cell phone) picture so you can see what he was wearing.  He met some Blues front office folks while he and his wife wore said buttons while carrying his trusty Game Time magazine.

In case you can't make it out, the button below the McClement for Selke is the Original SLGT seal with the words, "Gritty, Nasty, Grinders, Hitters....Hockey Just the Way you Like it."

I think he was waiting for Sean's official seal of approval before distributing a few of these to the hard core SLGT fans.

I want.  I want... and I want NOW ! ! !

BTW, I think Rick frequents SLGT here on SBN quite a bit too. But I can't remember what his moniker is.

Wow, what a game... Once again topping the 1k post mark in the GDT.  You guys brought it last night, just like the Blues.

I was fortunate enough to be able to take a long lunch today to go see the Blues introduce our savior new starting (and #1) goalie #41 J. Halak.  After the press conference, he posed for pictures and signed autographs before the MSM took him away for their Q&A.  After that, he stuck around until every single fan had a picture or autograph.

Granted, it wasn't the 5000 he dealt with a few days ago in Montreal, but he took the time for all in attendance to meet him

Now, it's hammer time... picture time.

For those that are in the St. Louis area. I was also on KSDK Channel #5 news getting this pic taken.

It MIGHT re-air at 10pm tonight.  I will sign autographs later.

 

BTW, I met an old friend at the press conference as well.  BlueMonday.
I met him in Sweden during the NHL Premiere trip.

At least, I think that is BlueMonday, that was a long time ago.
