Note: Long time lurker, first time fanposter here. If the following topic has already been discussed I apologize in advance.

As I write this post Opening Day is just over an hour away, and I won’t be watching a single pitch of it. It’s not that I don’t want to, but rather that I kind of live in Spain, where a 6:05 PM start in Anaheim means a 3:05 AM first pitch in Madrid.

Sure, I could get an MLB.tv package or something like that, but even if I did, there’s no way my tortoise-like internet connection could ever handle something as technologically advanced as streaming video.

2009 then, will be the third year in a row that I miss Opening Day, but I must admit, that as a NRAF I’ve grown quite accustomed, even fond of, getting my A’s fix through the written word as opposed to actually watching the games.

So my questions are about you, fellow NRAFs. Where in the world does AN live, and how will you be spending Opening Day/Night/Morning?
