I Am Texas Stadium
Todd Archer, of The Dallas Morning News, reports the Dallas Cowboys are scheduled to work out free-agent PK Shaun Suisham (Redskins) Monday, Dec. 21.
Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports New York Giants DT Chris Canty (hamstring) has a tear in his hamstring. Head coach Tom Coughlin said, "It is a serious injury, but the expectation of getting healthy, on a couple different occasions, has been there, but there is not a lot of progress being made."
Matt Mosley, of ESPN.com, reports former Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Brian Stewart will join the Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff in the near future, according to league source. It is not known what coaching position he will be given.
Welcome Back Keith Davis
The Cowboys have agreed in principle to resign Keith Davis, the former safety/special teams monster who was signed away by Miami just last March. Davis is already in Dallas and the contract is expected to be finalized Monday.
Davis' arrival means that the Cowboys will have to make another decision just hours after finalizing the 53-man roster.
Talk about the weird business of the NFL. Davis was an unrestricted free agent after spending five seasons in Dallas.

Happy 4th of July!!
Graphic I made with a picture of my Cowboy hat and fireworks.
Can Talent Alone Help The Cowboys Win?
Do the Dallas Cowboys have enough talent to go all the way to the Super Bowl and win? Absolutely, they have the most talented team in the league right now. Just look at our 13 Pro Bowlers. (Some people say not to include Roy Williams, but hey, the fans had a vote in this as well)
We had a talented team last year and the year before. Did those help the Cowboys win a Super Bowl? No, they couldn't even win a playoff game.
So, I ask again, can talent alone help the Cowboys win? There is a lot more than talent to help a team be successful. The Cowboys need to tap into those other resources to get them over the top.
Teamwork: The most important resource I believe in is teamwork. Cowboys are working together better than they have before. They are closely working the running game, passing game, and doing better at getting pressure on the defense. Last year, the weak spot was in the secondary. Was the problem that there was no teamwork chemistry? Newman was injured but played through his foot injury but did miss some games. Anthony Henry was injured with a pulled hamstring. How well did those backups work together? Was Roy on the same page?
The Cowboys secondary is improved talent-wise, let's hope they are working together to strengthen that part of the team. The safety position maybe the weakest position, but I believe they are working hard to improve on that.
Experience: Every starting player from last year has returned. We only lost Jacques Reeves, Akin Ayodele, Oliver Hoyte and Julius Jones. That means our roster is gaining in experience. With that experience, it also helps the teamwork.
Determination: 13-3? That was Wade Phillips answer to a lot a questions from the media before the the playoff game. We are all 13-3. I got so tired of him saying that. At the end of last season, the Cowboys were determined to be 13-3. They were not determined to go 16-3 to win the Super Bowl.
This season, it is imperative that they finish strong in December and play strong in the playoffs. If they want to be the #1 seed again in the NFC, they will have to prove they deserve it and win.
Talent can help win games, but there are a lot more factors to get them all the way. It is my hope that the team is focused properly in their preparations for this season and have that continue on throughout the season.

Tashard Choice Reaction to being a Cowboy!
Seahawks Set To Release S. Alexander
From kffl.com
Danny O'Neil, of The Seattle Times, reports the Seattle Seahawks are close to releasing RB Shaun Alexander, according to a source close to the situation. The announcement could come as early as Tuesday, April 22.
NFL.com Adam Schefter is reporting the same thing.
It has been mentioned before of possibly picking him up for the Cowboys.
Personally, I am not completely sold on him, but it could be an option if we draft a RB and give the rookie some time to develop.
Manninghan and Talib - Character Concerns
Two potential first-round, early-entry juniors — Kansas CB Aqib Talib and Michigan WR Mario Manningham — have been removed from the draft boards of multiple NFL teams because of character concerns.
Specifically, Talib admitted at the Combine to testing positive for marijuana three times while at the University of Kansas, according to several league sources. While teams appreciated Talib’s honesty, it bothered one team that Talib dismissed the first positive test because he said he had told Kansas head coach Mark Mangino that he was going to test positive.
Manningham, unlike Talib, denied testing positive at any time throughout college when the question was posed at the Combine about his past marijuana use. He also worked out poorly at the Combine after having waited to sign an agent and showing up unprepared to the annual event.
Anyone have any concerns about these two?
Rumor: Pacman offers to cut pay demand for Titans
While Pacman Jones trade discussions remain stalemated, sources tell ESPN that the Cowboys are convinced that the more than $6 million in guaranteed base salary the Titans are obligated to pay the suspended cornerback over the next three years virtually assures that an eventual trade is Tennessee's only inexpensive solution.
To stimulate a deal, according to sources, Jones has offered to forego money he has earned from and is owed by the Titans if the team drops its insistence he repay a similar amount of signing bonus.
To facilitate a trade to Dallas -- where Jones says he prefers to resume his career -- the player has offered to forego the $1.2 million performance bonus he earned for playing at least 25 percent of the Titans' defensive plays in an attempt to offset the $1.275 million signing bonus the Titans are currently demanding he repay before completing any trade. According to sources, Jones is willing to call it even and walk away. The Titans have not made that compromise.
Rumor: Roy Williams Cowboys Safety
From Kffl.com
Cowboys | Team reviewing R. Williams' future with team
Wed, 2 Apr 2008 17:21:38 -0700
John Murphy, of Yahoo Sports, reports the Dallas Cowboys are continuing to review possible ways to include SS Roy Williams in their future plans or possibly make one of several moves with him. If the Cowboys were to trade for Tennessee Titans CB Pacman Jones or draft a cornerback in the first round, they could shift CB Anthony Henry to safety. The Cowboys could then ask Williams to transition up to linebacker, take a pay cut to remain with the team or possibly be released on or before June 1.
Jacques Reeves Signs With The Texans
Being reported by Houston Chronicle that Jacques Reeves has left the Dallas Cowboys for the Houston Texans. Are we shopping a free agent, or we going strictly with the draft?
RUMOR: Cowboys considering trade with Miami
From kffl.com
Cowboys | Team considering trade with Miami
Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the Dallas Cowboys are considering trading an undisclosed draft pick and RB Marion Barber III for the Miami Dolphins' No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft.
Is Jerry pushing hard for McFadden? What do you think? Or is this more media speculation?
Cowboys To Let Flozell Adams Test Free Agency
From kffl.com
Team to allow F. Adams to test free-agent market
Calvin Watkins, of The Dallas Morning News, reports the Dallas Cowboys will allow unrestricted free-agent OT Flozell Adams to test the free-agent market before offering him a contract.
Good move or Bad move?
I think this gives an idea that Cowboys may let him go.
Pac Man
And to think some people wanted to trade for him. This is coming from ESPN.com Mortenson.

Calvin Watkins, of The Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys FS Ken Hamlin, who is an unrestricted free agent this offseason, may not re-sign with the team if another team offers him more money.
Cowboys Hire Defensive Line Coach
The team has hired former Browns defensive coordinator Todd Grantham to replace Kacy Rogers as the defensive line coach.
There are still jobs open to coach linebackers and the secondary.
Senior Bowl Updates
I have been visiting an NFL Draft Countdown site.
They have a Senior Bowl notes on some of the practices.
Owen Schmitt was injured but did not go in detail what happened.
Dallas vs New York Vid
Cowboys, it is time to get your butts in gear and play the best game in your career. That is what it is going to take for a victory in the playoffs. I know you have not won a post-season game in 11 years, but it is time to come full force and play the way you have played all season.
I know you have it within you: the heart, desire, the drive, and energy. Push yourselves to the limit. Play like a champ! You are already champs in our hearts, now show the rest of the world who you are.
WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tony Romo Nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Year Award
Congrats to Tony for a terrific year and to an even better playoff season all the way to the Super Bowl.
NFL.com reports Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo has been nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Year Award. Romo threw for 4,211 and 36 touchdowns. His 36 touchdown passes set a franchise record for passing touchdowns in a season.

Would Cowboys Be Interested In Edgerrin James?
Would Jerry go after the Edge, if he became available?
Roy Williams
Roy Williams...does anyone think the league may suspend him for the horse collar tackle on McNabb?
If they do, how will it affect the defense?
Phillips Cracking Down on Post Play Penalties
We know Wade Phillips is not the scream and holler type like Bill Parcells or Bill Cowher, but Todd Archer writes about how displeased he is with these penalties.
Hope you don't have Travis Henry in your Fantasy Football Team
I was surfing the web and just found this article on KFFL.com.
Possible Redskins Cheating?
I found this interesting from dcfanatic.com. Is it another case of cheating by an NFL team? Also interesting about this, the source comes from a Washington Redskins blog and there is more discussion from the official Redskins forum.
Here it is:
Game Strategy
I was just wondering what your strategy would be against the Rams. I believe it should be a good game and victory for the Cowboys!
I am looking forward to the game, like always! I will be at a local Sports bar here with friends watching it! See ya!
T-New
What about us keeping T-New out this week against Dolphins? I don't see Trent Green torching us like Eli did.
Dolphins in my eyes is a weaker team, and this could help us get Reeves more playing time.
This is just hypothetical, I don't claim to be the smartest football person. But I think we might be able to get by without T-New and let him get some more rest and healing.
Let me know your thoughts. Don't hate me for this just posing a question to everyone!!
Another Linebacker
I just saw this on NFL.com. I am not sure if anyone has seen it or know the player. We picked up Nick Roach from San Diego.
We also picked up Marvin Mitchell (LB) from New Orleans. He is a rookie and no stats.
Lousaka Polite got picked up by Green Bay. I don't know if we expected to sign him for PS or not.
