Chelsea have signed Oscar for £25m, say the Daily Mail

6

The Mail are reporting *exclusively* that we've beaten Spurs to the signing of Oscar from Internacional. If this is true then that should hopefully be that in our search for all the number 10s of the world. We'll have more band three players than Barca have central midfielders pretty soon. Less flippantly, he looks a real talent, this looks quite a coup

Ganso of Santos to be transferred

7

So expect lots of rumours to flare up linking him to the Premier League.

(Possibly) ACTUAL NEWS- Chelsea have E25m bid for Andre Schürrle rejected

5

So say Sky Sports. Any thoughts? I barely know where he plays to be honest - a winger so instead of Hulk/Moses then?

Super Frank to leave next year?

2

Hot rumour that Frank has rejected a one year extension to his contract and is set to leave next summer. Question is: hot off the press or hot like a steaming turd?

Olympic squad announced, no McEachran

2

Well then, that's a disappointment. Ironically (in the Alanis Morrisette sense) Jack Cork has taken 'his' place, once of Chelsea and devilishly handsome. To be honest, he wouldn't have played much with Ramsey, Giggs and Cleverley in the team and it was a surprise to see him mentioned given he made little progress this year. Hopefully not being selected will be a wake up for Josh to push himself hard and get selected more often for club and country.

Bertrand, Sturridge and McEachran in the Olympics squad!

10

It'll be great to see how these three do for Britain as they'll be almost certain to get game time - it's an 18 man squad so there won't be to much competition for places. Pearce likes to develop players through game time too so even if McEachran isn't a starter we can expect some substitute appearences. In some ways it's a shame Josh won't be in the US for pre-season as Robbie has not worked with him as manager but it's far better to get competitive minutes and this could be a great start to the season for all three. Well done Ryan Danny and Josh, do us proud.

Chelsea in poll position for Maicon

+

So say Sky Sports Italia. Well that's a bit weird. I guess it does makes sense in that Inter are in massive debt, didn't qualify for the CL, Maicon is probably on a huge contract and Chelsea need a right back when there aren't many outstanding candidates around. Still Maicon has been in decline for a few years, will command huge wages and will have a maximum two good years left in him. But if Debuchy isn't up to Chelsea standards then, well, Maicon's an improvement on Bosingwa and I'd happily see Todd Kane model his game on Maicon.

Chelsea linked with Matias Rodriguez

1

I don't know much about the blogger or the player but Michael Cox linked to this so I assume it's relatively trustworthy. His goal scoring record is very good for a wing back and he plays for the excellent Universidad de Chile. Anybody know much about him?

De Rossi reveals offers from Premier League clubs

4

I hope one of the clubs in for him are Chelsea. He'd be very expensive (recently signed a new contract) but as a central midfielder he'd fit into our pivot system excellently alongside a more defensive player like Mikel. With his age at 28 he's slightly more long-term than Ballack was and would be an excellent role model for the likes of Josh McEachran (and not so young as to perminently block his progress). Any thoughts? If we're going to splash to cash I'd much prefer it to be on De Rossi to Hulk as it stands!

Wigan reject Chelsea bid for Victor Moses

9

Interesting. Verrrry interesting. So there's been no news on Hulk, Di Matteo's been installed and now we're chasing Victor Moses? Moses is 21, a homegrown player, with 12 months on his contract and wants to leave. He's the top dribbler in the league and just had his breakout season, after being feted since he was 17. What does everyone think of this? A good target or would you prefer we chased Hulk?

Di Matteo set for Chelsea job according to Dan Levene

+

Dan's usually has good sources and is rarely wrong so thought it'd be worth linking to this report that Guardiola has rejected us and Di Matteo is set for the top job. I think this does make sense in terms of the two week turn around since we won the Champions League (which we totally did) and with the type of players we've been buying since two weeks ago. If true I don't doubt this will be a very popular decision and I'd love to see Robbie at the helm next season.

England U-19s win 5-0 with star performances by Chalobah and Kane

4

Chalobah looks more awesome each time I see him. His curled goal into the top corner to open the scoring and his brilliant diagonal pass for Kane just go to show what huge potential this kid has.

Hulk in negotiations with Chelsea

1

We are quick this year, eh? There's no sign of other clubs being involved so hopefully this will go without too many hitches. Would love to know what this means for our other bids for Hazard and Lucas. If we're going for a transfer bonanza this summer then one of these wingers will probably not be enough. If Hazard has said that where he signs depends on who else the clubs are trying to bring in then this is a good sign of ambition- Hulk is a top-tier winger who can only improve us and is likely to adapt relatively easy to the Premier League.

Blatter wants alternative to penalty shootouts

7

Not sure what to say about this apart from A) In August 2010 Seppy B said that extra-time should perhaps be scrapped in favour of going straight to penalties B) Chelsea just won their first CL on penalties

It's in Spanish on his personal website but he appears to be saying the right things - he wants to score goals, excited for next season, feels the tactics for the CL run were correct... well it's a long interview, check it out

Porto stand firm over Hulk transfer - so it's going to be another one of *those* transfers

21

"I say today what I said a year ago, I will do everything to keep Hulk at Porto," Porto's Chairman Pinto de Costa told Porto TV. "I'm not interested in selling him. "Hulk has a price and we are not going to negotiate and accept an inferior price to that of his clause, our desire is for him to be in our squad next season." He did though drop a hint that he could see a situation in which Hulk could leave, adding: "Hulk's situation also depends on a lot of business that is interconnected with other players."

Should Chelsea accept Drogba's contract demands or not?

Perhaps unsurprising, but Frank Lampard has come out today saying that he thinks Drogba should stay. More here: Guardian article

Roberto di Matteo has emerged as the leading contender to become the next permanent Chelsea...

+

Roberto di Matteo has emerged as the leading contender to become the next permanent Chelsea manager. Senior figures at Stamford Bridge are increasingly of the belief that the Italian is the man to succeed Andre Villas-Boas, BBC Sport understands. Technical director Michael Emenalo, who is overseeing the recruitment process, has already interviewed Di Matteo for the post, the Italian having guided Chelsea to the Champions League and FA Cup finals. It has also emerged that the 41-year-old has been asked to make preparations for next season and help plan the club's pre-season tour of the United States, while Abramovich has promised Di Matteo a £750,000 bonus if he wins the Champions League.
