"Meanwhile, a few guys announced they’re staying in school... Not saying anything about this group, but it’s always funny when dudes who have no business thinking about going pro hold a press conference to tell everyone the obvious. Remember Oregon making a big deal about Malik Hairston’s annual "I’m coming back" announcement?"

Another Spring Practice Report (long)

This guy FishDuck is a longtime volunteer on the "chain gang" for Duck football practice. He is famous for his detailed practice reports. This spring he stopped doing chain gang so he can sit in the stands and have a better view of the entire field.

In this practice report, he says the QBs were struggling with accuracy, but the offense's timing and execution were on point. More praise for Jamere Holland as well -- "far and away the top performer of spring ball".

"On one play Dickson was double-teamed but shook them loose with his cut outside and Masoli put it right up there in his hands at shoulder height inside the very narrow gap between the defenders. Ed then shook off the rear tackler, and was schimming/bouncing off the front tackler before a third defender drove him out-of-bounds."

"Later in the 11s, we saw Masoli survey the field and then turn left and nail Chris on a skinny flag about 14 yards downfield. Harper sidestepped a defender and got the quick feet going, and then downshifted into the long strides and 45 yards later cruised again into the end zone."

"Jamere Holland left us breathless multiple times today. He is showing tremendous CATCHING ability to complement his blazing speed. He blew past Barner and the ball was coming to him, but he outran the ball---so he paused and came back to it. He caught it and turned to the goal line..."

Attention Chicago Ducks, we are moving our watch parties back to Witt's.

Here is the note sent by the alumni association:

Hey Duck fans,

First, a housekeeping note. We will no longer be watching games at Rocks and will be returning to Witts as our weekly watch party spot. While Rocks was a great host and a good location to watch games, Rocks is unable to guarantee space for the Ducks' night games due to private parties. Witts will be able to accommodate us regardless if there are private parties due to their patio space.

What: Oregon vs. UCLA
When: Saturday, October 11 at 9pm
