He certainly is that, but he'll still end up a middle of the road SEC QB by the end of the season.

Someone is going to have to explain the UCONN-BYU spread to me.

The number and prestige level of offers plays into it as well, so if a recruit doesn't narrow his choices down early on he'll probably end up with a higher ranking.

Maryland has handled their legal issues with the conference, I think.

IIRC desirability doesn't hardly play into it at all, for some reason.

ESPN helped tremendously in getting the network started, but I sort of doubt that it will grow all that much and our revenue shares will never be as high.

I don't know that it's fair to compare the Texas legislature's meddling in college football to that of other states.
Commented on Beyond the Hedges gets ready to play. GAME WEEK! on Aug 20 2014, 8:42p
The negotiating party in this case would have to deal with the ACC itself, though, since the schools have essentially sold their TV rights to the conference for over a decade.

IIRC Virginia's state legislature isn't going to let one team leave without the other following.

Regrettably, I think he wins just enough games and creates just enough trouble to reinforce the "Everyone is out to get us" mentality that Penn State really needs to lose.

South Carolina would likely have to play Clemson and Alabama at the end of the season in this scenario, and late losses by any of those teams would likely take them out.
