Jeff Schultz writes an interesting article (FIRST!)
First off, I'm not a huge fan of Jeff Schultz. The guy seems to enjoy punching you while you're up, and kicking you even harder when your down. However, I read his most recent article in the AJC and thought that it raised some interesting questions. (Article)
Richt gets criticized for not showing enough emotion on the sideline. That might be unfair. But here’s something worth asking: Is he obsessed enough?
There’s no question Richt wants to win. But he has a lot more things in his life now, like taking mission trips to Honduras. It doesn’t mean football isn’t important to him. Anybody who has seen him after losses knows otherwise. But college football coaching, particularly in the SEC, has become a 24/7/365 job.
Richt in a conference with some truly obsessed coaches: Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Bobby Petrino. Watch Derek Dooley and you can almost see sparks coming off his head. If we see that, you know Tennessee players see that.
The rest is border-lining typical Jeff Schultz, but I wanted to post that snippet here to see what everyone else feels about Mark Richt's level of obsessiveness.
Has anyone else been thinking the same thing in recent months?

A throw back to the Goff Years
I believe Kyle has quoted something similar about the Ray Goff era, while in Jacksonville.
Aaron Murray to throw without glove, Swindle green with envy
“I tried it on and off throughout the summer but just decided I felt more comfortable without the glove,” Murray said today. “I think I’m fine without it.” (AJC)
It's no big secret, Orson Swindle wants Joe Kane for his quarterback. However, it appears as if Georgia will once again be the one with an outlaw gunslinger at the helm.
Don't worry Spencer I'm sure it's only a matter of time before that robotic recruiting machine lands a dubious quarterback who can consistently score points for your school both during the game and in the Fulmer Cup runnings.
That is of course assuming UGA hasn't once again beaten him to it.
Create your own alcoholic fueled adventure with Shark Week the drinking game
Fall is right around the corner and that can only mean one thing, IT'S FUCKING SHARK WEEK.
To celebrate the occasion, you will find the rules for the Shark Week drinking game (after the jump), handed down from on high from our father Carcharocles Megalodon.
Enjoy and remember; always jump the shark.

LeMay could be suspended from high school for 30 days
It doesn't specify the cause for suspension, but I'd imagine it would be something serious for that type of NCAA USC brand of punishment.
Precious still needs your help!
Or else he won't become the next sexiest woman alive. =(
Still doubing Richt's decision to let Mett go?
I'm sure most of us expected that someone had to do something serious to have themselves expelled from the team, but for anyone that was questioning Richt's decision.
Knowshon Moreno & Herschel Walker to team up for Tag-Team Title
Apparently being a star running back for the Classic City Canines will guarantee you a future in Mixed Martial Arts. Knowshon Moreno was in Athens this weekend, when he was accused of striking a random drunk 18year old downtown. It's only a matter of time before the Chippewas Hurdler and the Goal line stalker team up, and go after the Tag Team tittle in the WWE.

By the way I'm starting dislike the new fan post system.
John Chavis in the mix
It appears that LSU's John Chavis has been in the mix for the new DC job for the past couple of days. Here are a few articles that I was able to find that mention him.
ESPN Sec blog Capital One Preview
I've also gone through and found some links to all three of LSU's losses this year. (Florida, Alabama, and Ole Miss) For the most part (ignoring the Ole Miss Coaching debacle) it seems that LSU's defense is what keep them in all three close losses.
Florida
Alabama
Ole Miss
Hope these help, from reading over them I think Chavis would be a good fit for Georgia.
Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New years.
Sorry this article on Rocky Top Talk came up as I was typing the post talks about the possible fall out if Chavis is hired.
