Blogger So Dear ACC Non-conf poll

There's been a lot of crap about the Big East being the best conference in basketball this season.  While they're certainly challenging for the throne I don't see a whole lot of evidence of them being the absolute best.  With 3 ACC teams not having non-conference losses it would be a heavy weight on our side of the scale if we had some teams lose only to other ACC schools and ideally an ACC/ACC Final.  Of course that's very wishful thinking.

Poll
Wake, Clemson, and UNC all have 0 non-conference losses. How many ACC teams do you think will go 0'fer the season (including the tournament) on non-conference losses.

Blogger So Dear NBA Draft Questions

I'm not on campus anymore nor do I have a lot of Wake Forest alumni to talk to here in Savannah but I've been seeing a lot of noise on the various forums recently about some of our players headed to the NBA next season.  When I first noticed these posts I was dumbfounded.  I don't think ANY of our guys have the talent or maturity right now to head to the NBA and if they do they certainly haven't shown it on the court.  Aminu is the one I'd say has the most evident NBA career ahead of him but he's still so young and makes a lot of rookie mistakes.  He'd do well to stay one more year at Wake and then head to the bigs.  As far as other prospects, I really don't see anyone with the chops right now.  Also I think with the down economy rookie contracts are going to be shrinking this year and buck the trend of 'always more than last year' kind of deals.  Anyone else have thoughts on this?  We're a great team this year but we just don't have the maturity to go all the way.  As it stands I see us getting to the sweet sixteen and maybe the elite eight but no further.  If we can maintain our roster we're a definite fixture in the final four NEXT year.
