I am a profoundly deaf man who is fluent in American Sign Language and is a freelance writer. I am a former national runner-up in Deaf Racquetball National Championships in '85, '86, '92, and '93. Played football in Middle School (Wilbur Jr High) and tried out as 3rd string QB for the Junior Varsity team at California School for the Deaf. Played amateur baseball for 5 years, for S.J. Dodgers and Fremont Marlins.

A Veteran Player's Mentality: Pride

See the title above, where the clouds are? One has so much pride that it is better to take much less with another team than accept a $2 million dollar one-year contract from a team he played so...

Genuine Misgivings

Hey I am not going to give a Bill Walsh like pep talk or sound like a narcissist who happens to be a 49er fan, with ethereal musical tones ringing in the background (that's for you hearies, not for...

Why I Don't Want Darrelle Revis: A Rent-a-Cornerback

Why wouldn't I want the best cornerback available in the market? We need to sign Goldson too. I want the top 5 cornerbacks available, not just Revis, a top-rated cornerback with a bum knee. Gore...

The Ghost of Bill Walsh Kaepernicking Into Jim Harbaugh's Legacy

Guess who is roaming in the hallways of the 49ers' headquarters, almost morphing into current head coach Jim Harbaugh? None other than the ghost of legendary head coach Bill Walsh. Harbaugh is...

Super Bowl Malady To Forget

Listen here, we were f-o-u-r plays away from getting the ball inside the end zone and the Ravens manhandled our chances away short of molestation. If I was making the playcalls, I would call a play...

Super Bowl Distraction From The Media: It Is Unfair

Crabtree: Innocent until given a guilty verdict in a court of law

By all accounts, I hope Crabtree is pulling a Panda, by being naive as to allow himself to get entangled into a legal matter. The problem is, as big a star he is as one of the top...

Why The 49ers Will Win Today: The GB Packers Are In For A Tough Fight

It will be a cat fight. Yeah. But the 49ers will unleash their dogs to finish the job. How so? Listen, Mister. Frank Gore is not going to let this go away. He wants his ring! Crabtree doesn't...

Ran into Ricky Jean Francois at Macy's inside ValleyFair Mall

A huge mammoth freak of nature embedded in braids strolled into Macy's, much resembling Ricky Jean Francois, looking much taller than the registered '6 3" feet tall, which made me notice Mr. Freak...

Places I would take Colin Kaepernick if he spent the day with me

Assessment of Kaepernick's New Career with the 49ers: Graded to a "B."
