Peterson to Broncos?
Sources tell CBS Sports' Rob Rang that the Broncos "love" LSU CB Patrick Peterson, and "aren't as high" on Alabama DT Marcell Dareus.
The suggestion appears to be that Peterson is higher on Denver's board than Dareus. With the first round just three days away, three players appear to be in the hunt for No. 2 overall: Dareus, Peterson, and Von Miller. Our bet is still on Dareus, but both of his "competitors" are elite enough for a late upset.

Eric Decker
Broncos WR Eric Decker's latest injury is being called a sprained left ankle after all.
Injury updates out of Denver have been hard to come by, as predicted. At this point, it appears that Decker is rehabbing the pre-existing high ankle sprain that was aggravated in last Saturday's practice. The MRI apparently did not reveal an aggravation of his Lisfranc fracture. There's no timetable for his return to practice.

Dumervil has torn pectoral
Denver Broncos linebacker Elvis Dumervil suffered a torn pectoral muscle during Wednesday's practice that will sideline him indefinitely, according to league sources.
Dumervil is expected to miss about four months, which means he might be able to return late this season.
Dumervil is going for another opinion to get a more specific idea of how much time he would miss so the Broncos can figure out how to best handle the situation.

Broncos first-round pick Tim Tebow is expected to be under contract by the end of the weekend.
The Broncos hold their first rookie practice on Wednesday afternoon, and the sides are currently negotiating a five-year contract that's expected to be worth $12 million overall, with $8 million guaranteed and lots of added incentives. More precarious are talks between the Broncos and 22nd overall pick Demaryius Thomas. Thomas' agent, Todd France, has a history of waiting for surrounding draft picks to slot in before getting his clients signed.

Brian Westbrook update...
Brian Westbrook remains one of the highest-profile free agents in the NFL, but with training camps opening this month, he says he has multiple suitors and expects to sign with the right team soon.
"My goal is to go to a good, quality football team that can win," Westbrook told the Washington Post.
Westbrook says he's been talking to "six or seven" teams, including the Redskins, and that he'll sign just as soon as he determines what the "right place" is.
And when Westbrook finally does play, he says he'll be better than he was in 2009 because he's healthier than he was in 2009.
"That's why I know this season is gonna be different," Westbrook said, "because I've got time to work out, time to get in shape, time to train, time to be the best player I can be. There's no doubt about it when I go out and I'm healthy. This year I'm healthy. No excuses."
Darcel McBath
Darcel McBath is hoping to improve upon his rookie season and make a larger impact in 2010.
McBath had a pair of interceptions and led the team in special teams tackles in a rookie campaign that ended early due to a broken forearm. But his forearm has mended and he thinks he's really grown from his first to second year. "It's night and day," McBath said of his growth over the past year. "I'm a little more comfortable--a little more vocal. I'm just trying to do my part." The safety is hoping to use training camp as a springboard to more playing time. "It depends on how I play (in training camp)," McBath said. "If I come in and play well, hopefully I can get a little more responsibility."

Personally, Im happy he's suspended and quite frankly hope we trade him. Even though we wouldn't get much for him, i'm tired of him being a distraction.

Madden 10 so far is taking me some getting used to. Ive already lossed 3 in a row in ranked online action. I'm not used to losing like that. lol. Tavaris Jackson sucks in the new game and Kyle Orton is suprisingly not bad. I was a bit suprised to learn that K Moreno's speed is only a 86. I thought he was much faster then that.

So I just found out that Pierre Thomas is Questionable for the game on Sunday. WTF?!?! It's championship week in Fantasy Football and Im counting on you Pierre. Does anyone know how serious of a back problem he has? Is it a big enough injury to keep him out of the last game of the year? Please help guys

Thankfully some homer dropped him in our FF league. I'm currently riding R. Meachem and he's good, but Colston is by far one of the best. Once Colston is healthy I will be starting B. Marshall, Colston, and Andre Johnson. Also is Vilma worth picking up this week? Has he played up to expectations?

The secrets out on Torain, and people know Shanny's uncanny ability to spot RB talent. I havne't drafted him yet in the 2 FF drafts I have been in, but plan on picking him up in the company league. I will keep my hopes at a good even level for now, but Torain has too much upside.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Brandon Marshall has been suspended three games for violations of the Personal Conduct Policy, but could have it reduced to two by agreeing to undergo counseling. Not so bad. Assuming Marshall takes up the counseling offer (no guarantee with his checkered decision-making history), he'll only miss Denver's Week 1 game at Oakland and San Diego at home in Week 2. However, Marshall has a DUI trial on Sept. 24 pending. If he's guilty, more discipline may be in order. Compliments of www.rotoworld.com

So there is a look at the Broncos success against all other teams of all time. Compliments of Pro Football Reference of course. I'm pleased with our records against some of the most storied franchises around. For example the Steelers, Pats, and COLTS. Others I was suprised to find that we haven't faired to well against such as the Houston Oilers now Titans, Dolphins, and Bills.
I cant tell you how happy I am with our record against the Bolts, but that dosn't mean a thing being that they have had our number the last couple years. Our record of all time is 378-336-10. Heres to hoping we add another 10-12 wins this year. Also I'm still learning how to do fan posts, so i'm sorry if this looks like complete crap.

The Denver Broncos fans once held the world record for the world's "loudest roar." I say once because i'm sure it has been broken in the past 7 years ( not sure though). It's something to be proud of and I don't recall anyone else in the AFC West coming close to that record. Maybe the Chiefs fans, but I haven't found anything online to back that up. If anybody is wondering we lost that game against the Patriots 19-28. In fact the Patriots had our number that game and beat us by the time the first half ended. Our season ended with an 11-5 record. With that being said I would love to hear more about it from someone who was there. Any stories? Also i'm interested in knowing how many MHR folk knew that tidbit of info.

I created a league on ESPN called the Denver Gentlemen. Please notice the 'E' in Gentlemen as there is two similar leagues. Both created by me of course but I'm only using The Denver Gentlemen. The name comes from a rugby team in Aspen called the Aspen Gentlemen (FYI). Anyways thats besides the point but, I would love it if this league was filled with MHR folk. Have a great Monday guys!
