I'm not one for extreme or nonsense trash talking (AKA NY Jets), but I do like the new attitude I've been seeing here the last two years.

I thought it was rather entertaining. How have you reacted if we drafted Sanchez?

Quarterbacks commonly are referred to as field generals. Bill Simmons likes to watch movies. So he smushed the two together and came up with his quarterback rankings as portrayed by favorite war movies of his generation. Of course, he put Bills Trent Edwards LAST, comparing him to the movie "Apocalypse Now" saying: "It's always fun when a QB sucks, but especially when fans are in deep denial and say things like, "If he had time to throw, I think he'd have a chance to be good" (like Bills fans do with Edwards). ... Deep denial. It's a dangerous drug." What do you think, are we in "Deep Denial"? Are Sanchez and Henne LEAPS and BOUNDS better?

Sports Illustrated predicts the New York Jets will win the AFC East, but won't claim the Lombardi Trophy. Sports Illustrated senior writer Peter King forecasts the Jets and New England Patriots will finish 10-6, with the Jets winning the tiebreaker and the Patriots going into the playoffs as a wild card along with the Baltimore Ravens. King pegs the Miami Dolphins at 9-7 and the Buffalo Bills at 2-14. ----------------------- 2-14? I know Buffalo has a few holes to address but 2-14 with Jets and Pats finishing 10-6? Last I checked, they had a few problem areas to address themselves.

Funny how things just seem to stay that same!

Is it just me, or does it seem as though, especially in the last few years, that Buffalo beats themselves before stepping onto the field? I have never seen coachs/players make so many excuses for a loss. I am addicted to Buffalo Rumblings and I do see that the better portion of the people on this site know WAY more about the inner workings of offense/defense/football in general, than I do. How many seasons have we been playing against the 3-4 defense? Why have we never seriously addressed this issue? I think I remember Trent saying "I was impressed with their defense, etc" and "3 of the players on their defense went to the pro-bowl", or "We have to be better prepared for this kind of defense". That sounds to me, like someone's making excuses. Dick Jauron - "It was a disappointing night," Jauron said. "The good news is that it's preseason. We knew we had a long way to go, and this should show us that we have a long way to go. We've got to get back to work on Monday." We started camp a week early? We played an extra pre-season game due to the HOF. Why do we have "Such a long way to go"? Anyway, the link above is a good article. After reading the articles you guys post on this site I always think to myself "Wow, these guys really know their stuff", so it would be nice to haer what you think about my random thoughts / the above article.
