I've been a Broncos fan for as long as I can remember. My earliest memories are listening to the exploits of Otis Armstrong on KOA coming back from Winter Park on Sundays. During high school, I was fortunate enough to be part of marching bands to play at halftime for two different games, even though the seats at Mile High for the halftime entertainment left a lot to be desired (directly West of the South Stands).
After college, I moved to San Diego and made lots of friends with chargers fans (it's always good to have some good-natured trash talking during the season) and made it to more than a few Broncos games at the Murph (where there were usually more Bronco fans than charger fans).
I have since moved to the Mojave desert to work at a Navy base and can only catch my Broncos via DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket and the once a year game in San Diego (I'm not suicidal enough to try to attend a game in Oakland) though the new generation of San Diego fans are making it unfriendly for my pre-teen son and me.
I got my first jersey (TD #30) the year before he was injured but remain faithful (and cheap) and continue to wear it for every game. We bought my son a Mike Anderson (#38) for Christmas (the year before he was released). He has had a Champ (#24) for a couple of years now, so I think the jinx is behind us!
My avatar is my 1969 Bronco in Border Patrol Green with Orange and Blue rollcage. Once I get the funds, I'm going to replace the green with an Earl Scheib Bronco Blue with white fender flares and paint the whole cage Bronco Orange!

Trevor Pryce retired...and bored
Seems that Trevor is looking for work since retirement is a little slower than he expected.
Unfortunately, he seems to only want to play for Jets....
Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler Gets Caught in Crossfire of Wisconsin Senate Race
Looks like we're not the only ones that like to bash Cutler!
NBA confirms Thunder’s go-ahead basket was illegal
A lot of good it does us now.
Shanny confirms offer for Westbrook
The Washington Post says head coach Mike Shanahan confirmed the team made a formal contract offer to Westbrook
Looks like Shanahan is the first to blink.
Denver's New Stadium Bums Out Kickers
Oh no, Nate Kaeding doesn't like it!
Demaryius Thomas and Erik Decker Best of Friends
An interesting story of how our two new wideouts became friends while training for the combine.
Raiders Cut Ties with Warren
Would it be worth it to bring Warren back?
Broncos/Chargers Headed in Different Directions

Probable Pitchers?
My son and I will be traveling to Denver for our first visit to Coors Field this weekend to catch two of the games against the Giants on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Does anyone know who the probable pitchers are?
We've been enjoying watching the Rockies beat up on the Padres earlier this week and the D-Backs tonight (thank you DirecTV and their free MLB Extra Innings preview) and can't wait to see them live at Coors.
MHR-athon still happening?
Are we still planning on the MHR-athon (MHR-con, whatever) this summer during training camp?
I need to start making reservations (as I'm sure that other need to do as well) and want to find out if the new administration at Dove Valley has changed our plans to get together in time for training camp.
We're looking at probably around August 7-13 (the original goal was to catch a Rockies series - looks like the Cubs) and we're hoping to hook up with you all at the same time.
Anyone have a status on where we are on this?
Sharpe Finalist for hof
Former Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe is among the 17 finalists who will be considered for election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Sharpe is one of four first-year eligible players being considered for election.
He caught 815 passes for 10,060 yards and 62 touchdowns in his career. When he retired, he was the all-time leader among tight ends in all three categories.
Looks like TD didn't make the next to final cut.
A little Humor - How to know you're from Colorado
- 98% of Americans will scream before going into a ditch on a slippery road. The other 2% are from Colorado and say "Hold my pop and watch this"
- You eat ice cream in the winter
- It snows 5 inches and you don't expect school to be canceled
- You wear flip flops every day of the year regardless of temperature
- You have no accent at all but can hear other people's and you make fun of them
- "Humid" is over 25%
- Your sense of direction is: Toward the Mountains and Away from the Mountains
- You say "Interstate" and everyone knows which one
- You think May is a totally normal month for a blizzard
- You buy flowers to set out on Mother's Day but try to hold off planting them until just before Father's Day
- You grew up planning your Halloween costume around your coat
- You know what the Continental Divide is
- You don't think Coors beer is that big of a deal
- You went to Casa Bonita as a kid (and as an adult)
- You've gone off-roading in a vehicle that was never intended for such purposes
- You always know the elevation of where you are
- You wake up to a beautiful 80 degree day and wonder if it's going to snow tomorrow
- You don't care if some company named it, the Broncos still play at Mile High
- Everybody wears jeans to church
- You actually know that South Park is a real place and not just a TV show
- You know what a Trust Fund Hippy is and that its natural habitat is Boulder
- You call it Elitch's, not Six Flags
- A bear on your front porch doesn't bother you
- Your two favorite teams are the Broncos and whoever is kicking the crap out of the faders
- When people out East tell you their state has mountains to, you just laugh
- You go anywhere else on the planet and the air feels "sticky" and the sky is no longer blue
I can also personally add going out to get the paper in bare feet when there is snow on the ground.

Chargers fire DC
Looks like the bolts finally decided they had enough of Ted Cottrell as their defensive coordinator and replaced him with Ron Rivera (former Bears DC).
For those of you stuck watching the games on the 'net
My parents live south of Tucson, only have cable and are unable to watch any Bronco games (other than SNF and MNF).
My dad is caring for my mom (who is suffering from Alzheimer's-like dementia) and she really misses seeing her Broncos playing!
I told him about ways to get the game off the Internet, but having her sit in front of the computer for the entire game would be difficult. I know that my laptop has a connection that will put out NTSC that will allow the screen to be converted to a TV signal, but he doesn't have a laptop and I'm not sure what kind of connections he does have on his computer.
So, the gist of this post is to ask all you guys that have to watch on the Internet how you watch the game? Do you sit at the computer and watch it or have some kind of converter to display the game on a TV? Does anyone know of a card or box that will convert the signal from a PC to a TV?
I appreciate any help the wise people at MHR can provide in helping this old Broncos fan help keep the spirit alive in a woman who taught him how to be a great Broncos fan.
Kiffin should resist from Teasing the Shark
What an awesome picture of Evil Al.
Didn't he introduce Kiffin as Lance when he hired him? Classic!
Al Wilson Retires
Another Bronco legend hangs up the cleats. It's too bad that Al wasn't able to make it back from his neck injury.
We could sure use his leadership in the middle of the defense!
