OLBs' Sergio Kindle and Brandon Graham
I know we have problems on the backside and we need to improve it especially at CB. It seems like on the Nation everyone is 50/50 on Haden who is considered the top corner in the draft and with the exception of Berry it seems that the safeties have there good and bad points. With that being said a better pass rush might be the key to cover some of the holes on the backside. Sergio Kindle is a DE/OLB that can provide pass rush with versatility , and Brandon Graham is a little on the short side but he is a relentless pass rusher with a tremendous motor. I know we already have Lawson and company on the outside but depending on how the draft picks go should we add some pass rush to our defense in first round? Or should we go head and address it in later rounds and get a CB or Safety as one of our two first round picks. Wanna see what the Nation has to say.
Sue or Berry might be a phone call away!!! Should we jump on it?
The Lions are making it quite clear that they are interested in trading down from there #2 pick in this year's draft. It's alot of talent at the head of the draft. Names like Sue, Berry and McCoy will all be available, maybe even Bradford depending on what the Rams do with there situation wit the Eagles. This is my question to the nation. If u were the GM would you try to hit the Lions up for that 2nd pick? If so wat would u give up to get the pick? Let's chop it up baby!!

Joe Haden, Taylor Mays or Earl Thomas?
As the draft gets closer and closer I am starting to become a big CJ Spiller fan. I feel like he could fill a hole we have as a returner and I believe we can get him alteast 15 to 20 touches a game but I think that Seattle might swoop in and get him before we have an oppurtunity so to me thats dead. Anyways with one of the first round picks we will get a offensive lineman but with the other I believe the Niners gonna be looking to improving our backside of our defense because we got absolutely torched at times especially on third down. The primary candidates are probably gonna be Joe Haden of Florida, Taylor Mays of USC and Earl Thomas of Texas. Im asking my fellow members to give some feed back on who they think will be better for our particular defense and why. Now I understand that it depends on the picks other teams make to improve there defenses that will determine who we pick for our backside but F all that...i just wanna know who yall think better helps us. Hell, if u don't think any of them fit give some feedback on who u think the Niners should draft with the other first round pick and why. Lets chop it up

What's Going To Happen If Alex Smith Doesn't Play At Decent Level This Season?
First of all its a pleasure to be in the NN. By what i've been reading there are some vets on the blog that really know the Niners and football in general. With that being said im excited about the Niners and the direction we are taking. We have made some good picks lately and im excited about our two first round picks this year. Everyone knows it is Alex Smith's make or break season. I'm very nervous about him because the way his career has gone. He has been inconsistant in his play and injury has plagued him recently. He showed a little promise last year when he replaced Shaun Hill. He seems to be on the same page with VD and Crabtree is going to be a very good target for him while Gore will once again try to run for a grand and take pressure off of him. If he has a bad season where will we go from here. Will we go in the draft and start over fresh...will we hand the reigns over to back up Nate Davis to see what he can do?, or are we gonna try to find a QB in FA? With it being a QB drivin league now we will need some consistant QB play. If Smith doesn't pan out i'm afraid it will set us back for playoff contention. Please feel free to give some feedback on this issue.
Would the addition of C.J. Spiller be the start of Niners claiming division title?
The way the team is made now I believe the Niners have a great chance to take the NFC west. With the draft coming up the team can go into many directions because even though the team is solid its still a lot of holes that needs to be filled...My opinion is there glaring needs are Offensive Tackle and punt and kick returner. C.J. Spiller is the most dynamic back in the 2010 draft and i believe he is going to be available for my Niners. He brings a change of pace back from Gore and Coffee and can even be split out. He also will fill the holes of both the KR/PR. Now if u look at the division as a whole there is a lack of a dynamic players that if u put them in space they can take it to the house. I believe if we draft Spiller we would absolutely terrorize the defenses in the divison in the way that the Saints use Reggie Bush...u even see the Titans split out Chris Johnson from time to time...can u imagine Spiller's type of elusiveness and speed out there with Gore, Crabtree, Morgan and Davis, and it will be yet another target for Alex Smith and his development. His impact on Special teams will be very very big and shorten the field for the offense. Currently there is no team in the division that would be able to match up with us.....atleast not for 60 mins.....wanna see wat my fellow Niners fans think about this.
