questions about next year

I just wanted to know about the kids that didnt make the grade to play at FSU that we recruited this past year. Also is there any news on who is injured going into this next season like Easterling? I havent been able to keep up as much with work picking up and going to summer school. Is there any word yet about Dvo going to play baseball yet? I also see something that Myron Rolle as a Sr. Does he still count on the roster?

I know we have had post about this but I just looked at it and have seen some good things and some bad thing. I just wanted to get everyone take on this. Sorry for my spelling before hand.

Sept. 7 vs Miami (Mon)

Sept. 12 Jack ST

Sept 17 at BYU

Sept 26 SFU

Oct 3 at BC

Oct 10 GT

Oct 17 open (the only one)

Oct 22 at UNC

OCT 31NCST (Im betting if we have a black out game this is it.)

Nov 7 at clemson

Nov 14 at WF

Nov 21 Maryland

Nov 28 at UF (in the swamp)

I would like to say at first look I though we made out real good but at a second look Im not liking what I see. I dont know if anyone will agree with me on this but I feel that next year we cant wait tell our Def gets on the same page. Our Off is going to have to win some games for us. I dont think the Def will show up to every game like we think but I do feel that other than the UF game we can just out score every team on there.

So lets talk. Ill go first because well its just how this works. We start with Miami. I like that because WE have a better Idea who FSU is than Miami does. They have some great talent down there and if they ever figure out how to use it bad things would come. We have a better idea how our Off works so we get the adv. in this game.

Second the Jack St game. this game we should win. I know they have the x-LSU QB but thats about it. I know they have others but sorry we have just more talent then them.

BYU. Wow whos idea was this one. Well guess it time to have a flash back and get the idea in the head anytime anywhere. This is a good team to start with. They end the season at ranked 25. These guys can put up a lot of points. they have a lot of speed it looks like but I dont know. Im sure they run a spread Off. The good thing is we have speed too. This would be a bad game to lose. At BYU too

USF. The road only get more fun here thank good its at home. I dont know what to think about USF. 2 years ago they were the hot team. Last year they just fell off. when this team shows up they can drop points and there Off is kinda weard. They run a spread where they will have 4 WR and a RB and they will zone read and pass just like where I want us to go.

BC the are falling down and with the new coaching changes I hope they flop. lost a lot on there Def with the 2 DT gone.

GT man I was hopen this game would come off the Bye week. The only good thing is if BC has a bad year. I would love to see us going back to work on Sunday for this game. Get as much time as we can because LSU tought us all something. To stop GT it take time. Lots of practice. One week is not going to be enough. I think GT is going to be a tough game.

Then we get a week off and then one the road to UNC. They dont have a great Off. They have a good one but I think by now our Def will have came throw and stepped up. I wish they didnt get the extra week off also. They did lose that nix guy so thats a good thing. But they are dont a good job up there with recruiting. I think we win I dont think it will be close. EJ gets playing time because we are up.

NCST some say this game is going to be hard game some a tough game. I think BYU and SFU games will tell us how this game will turn out. FSU has a problem with fast QB and NCST QB is fast and seems smart. I like this kid and I hate NCST. All I know is we better win because I couldnt hear it for a year that NCST beat FSU at home. Also do we play NCST on or around halloween.

At Clemson. who will they be next year. Your guess is as good as mine. They still have good players there from the last few recruit seasons. If they find who they are they could be good. If not lights out and they will fold.

At WF. Another game we have to win because Im going to this game. I dont think WF will climb back up because they just dont get the players.

Maryland some as last year sorry but we blow them out

UF, Im not going to say the same. Im going to be me and just lie about this. WE HAVE A CHANCE. I think its at about 7% but thats 7 more % than what some teams have. Its hard to say they are going to beat us but I think we all know the truth. Man this suchs.

Well thats about it. I think our Def is not going to step up like they did this year. Man thats going to suck because there were time this year they didnt even show up little step up. I think we will have a better Off this year and the best Def is a good Off. I hope thats right. If we control the ball and keep the clock going we can win. we dont have to score every time we get the ball but we have to help the Def out because we are not going to have a kicker/punter like this year. WE CAN DO THIS! YES WE CAN!It worked for Obama why not us.

For those who dont know, I live in Columbia, SC. Im in the Army at Fort Jackson. I go to one great church. The only problem is that everyone that goes to my church hate FSU for one reason or another. Ether they are USC fans and hate FSU because they know Steve Spurrier and Bobby Bowden from when he was at UF, or they are Clemson fans and hate FSU because of the Bowden drama and there coach walking out on them. Anyhow so there I was today thinking about what to wear to church today. Now I go to a contemporary church service where most are college kids and jeans and polos are ok to wear. I dont think I have ever been scared at church before but today, today was different. I guys something happened the other night. Some of the people at church kinda smiled at me but there were a lot (My sunday school teachers son) wanted to take me out back and well I think you get the point. I just dont get it. All I did is wear this my brwon skechers with jeans and a hoodie. Its not like the hoodie said Clemson sucks or something. All It was was the FSU hoodie I got at Bills Bookstore over X-miss when I went home. Its like they thought I was a devil worshiper or something. I dont get how they could be so mad about it. Its not like FSU had some great 2nd half comeback of the year and Florida State outscored Clemson 40-17 to end the game.

Wait, Im sorry I was wrong above. My wife just told me that FSU won last night and it was one of the best comeback and they did out score them 40-17 in the end. Wow, If I would have known that I might not have worn that FSU hoodie today. Guess I am a cowlist bastard.

Going Bowling

Well, I will tell you all right now there is nothing better than bowling. You know how hard it is to strike out and get a 300. Ive never done it. I have had a 298 and a 299 but that was back in the day when I bowled in 4 legs. a wk.

Anyhow, Im not here to talk to you about Bowling, Im here to talk to you about the Bowl season. Thats right over the next 4 weeks we will have 34 dif. bowl games. Out of those the ACC will have a team in 10 of them. Thats right 10 game. Now I remeber this past summer someone talking on ESPN and FNR about how the ACC had the worst teams in College football and how the ACC was the worst Cof. Can someone tell me how this can be. Well to those people who said that and even still think that I say kiss my. Sorry I know kids read this.

Here is what we are looking at. If the ACC is so bad why do we have 10 teams going to bowl. This is what the ACC has going on. I would like to know what you all think about these match-ups and who you think could/will win.

EAGLEBANK BOWL Navy Vs WF (Remach from 9/27) - December 20, 2008 - WF has to win this game. If not Wf could be on the down slope and will be hard to fight there way back up.

MEINEKE CAR CARE BOWL UNC vs WV - December 27, 2008 - I think UNC is going to have a Fight on there hands. WV might not be the same team from a few years ago but they have a good QB and still have some power left over. I think UNC can get it done if they just stay focused.

CHAMPS SPORTS BOWL FSU Vs Wis (The only game that matters)-December 27, 2008 - No question about this. FSU needs the win to have something to say this year is better than the last two but thats not going to be that eazy. Wis is like BC but bigger and stronger. If they get there guys healthy and get there running game going it could be a very long night.

EMERALD BOWL Cal vs Miami (FL) - December 27, 2008 - You know we have seen this game already this year. No that was Maryland vs Cal. Well I think its going to end the same. Miami needs this because they have no ID who they are and where they are going.

PAPAJOHNS.COM BOWL Rugers Vs NCST - December 29, 2008 - NCST is going to show up and out smart the smart guys. Rugers isnt all that good. Some could say the same for NCST but there is a reason there QB is getting noticed hes going to lead the Pack to a bowl win and a good season next year. Keep an eye on this guy.

ROADY'S HUMANITARIAN BOWL Nevada Vs Maryland - December 30, 2008 - Well Nevada isnt ranked so Maryland could be in trouble. Are you kidding me Nevada played some good teams this year and lost to them all there best win was Fresno St. I think Maryland is going to run the ball down there throats.

GAYLORD HOTELS MUSIC CITY BOWL BC Vs Vandy - December 31, 2008 - Wow Vandy started the season realy good or did they. They beat um Auburn, Rice, USC, Miss. If BC can get anything on Off going then Vandy might have some troubles, but then again BC has those two DT that give everyone trouble.

CHICK-FIL-A BOWL GT Vs LSU - December 31, 2008 - This might just be the Best game to watch other than the FSU Vs Wis. GT Beat UGA, UGA killed LSU, LSU didnt realy do anything this year. I just have a hunch that GT is going to run all day and all over LSU and LSU is not going to stop them. Its going to be fun watching LSU look like FSU when LSU goes to Alt.

GATOR BOWL Clemson Vs Nebraska (The bowl they stole from Us) - January 1, 2009 - I didnt want to go there but you know what. Im kinda mad at the Gator Bowl camit. I think its BC what they did. There are much better teams than Clemson for this games. Also I think this is one game the ACC might and is going to lose. the ACC could win most of there bowl games but This will be one of if not the hardest for the ACC. And the sad thing is Nabraska is not that good just ask VT

FEDEX ORANGE BOWL Cin Vs VT - January 1, 2009 - Ok here we go the game of the ACC. I want to give VT props for making it to this game. They did it with no Off. Wasnt the ACCCG this year awasom. NOT. You know what I think VT might just be in trouble here. VT can have a good Def from time to time but there Off is going to have fun. I havent seen much on TV from Cin but it looks like they like to air it out. I dont know if VT will have what it takes to slow them down. I hope so because The ACC needs to win the OB this year. The ACC has looked very bad over the last few years and this year could be just the same.

I just want you all to know that I dont like most of these teams but I think its very important that the ACC wins most/all of there bowl games this year. When you have the SEC with Bama and UF on our (FSU) door when it comes to recruiting and the Big East for those more teams from UVA, VT, Maryland, and BC. we need all the proof the ACC is better and stronger. I think its pos. for the ACC as a whole to come out of this with 7-3. I think we have a lot of good games to look forward to. I hope everyone has a blessed X-mis and New Year. And Sence I broke my Wrist Im going to need someone to go bowling for me.

My question to you

There are some of you that are thinking FSU might just take a step backwards next year. Some think its because of the DC pos. and our Def will not be very strong. Some think we will be hurting on the Off line. Some think Ponder is just not good enough. And some think our WR and RB will not be able to hold out be that they just get into to much trouble off the field or injurys.

I want to say what I think will happen next year. We are lucky this year isnt over yet and we have one more game to get some exp. to the team and guys coming back next year. Ill talk about that later. As of right now we have the youngest O-line. Most would say they did a great job for being so young. I know they are not the best in the world but If there is one thing FSU has right now its a damn good O-line coach.

Second, when it comes to play calling Jimbo has played to our strengths all year. We lost 4 games this year. Some are thinking we might lose 6 next year some think only 3. I think its going to be just as crazy in the ACC next year as this year. But I think it will be our year. WF did not beat FSU. FSU beat FSU in that game. GT beat us hands down and could have killed us but their QB got hurt. VT was the same way I'll chalk that up to luck. BC Thats going to be a fun game.

The way I look at next year is our Def. is going to be ok. Not great maybe not even good, but ok. Also we will see who we get in the DC spot if we get one. There are only 4 Off we play next year that I would even worry about. 1 UF we prob wont win. GT, BYU, NCST. You can laugh about NCST but I just got a feeling If its not us going to the ACCCG it will be NCST. BYU well they can play they are ranked 16th right now and put points up on almost everyone. Dont get me wrong I think we can win but here is my problem.

I realy think our Off is going to be good next year. They might even be Great. I think FSU Off has grown so much this year and going into next year its going to be something new. Ponder will start throwing down field because he will have time because the O-line will be blocking better. We are going to have teams so scared of the screen and the zone read they try to put 7 in the box they will get burned everytime. Its just a matter of time before this happens. I wouldnt be suprised to see it happen in Wis. Before you strat thinking how bad our Def could be next year think how good our Off could be. Def wins Champs. Off win Games. I think Our Off will win most of our games and our Def will come around sooner or latter.

Why do some of you think we are going to take a step backwards next year?

I know its not all that exciting but I will be in Panama City from the 17-21 for Xmiss w/ My family. Im going to go through Tallahassee and I need to get a FSU jersey, Hoody, and skully. does anyone know where I could go to get those things. If someone could just give me a list of stores I could find them with my tom tom. Im sure someone on TN knows where to go. Thanks Desman
