Can we move on now?

Ok now that Oklahoma State and Texas Tech have lost can we get over the Big 12 being the "best" division of football this year? Let's just call it what it is Texas and Oklahoma are great this year and the rest are good but have not measured up during the bowls.

Also since no one seems to remember or care or both, can someone tell me how to pull for Florida against the Sooners? I just can not get past the Florida guy KICKING OUR PLAYER IN THE HEAD ON THE GROUND at the end of the game. Watching Tebow running around on the sideline like a circus monkey with palsy was bad enough but NO ONE seemed to call out the kick to the head at the end of the game. I really want the SEC to win bowl games but I'm struggling with this one.

So it's Tennessee week. One of my best memories is Alabama players who come out and play a game no one expected against Tennesse. The greatest example is Siran when he just gashed the Tennessee defence all day with the shuffle pass (check out Youtube for yourself for some great moments or memories). I also remember, I think his name was Jeff Dunn a backup QB that was forced into action that absolutley lit up the Vols but never really did much after. I just remember the headline of the Sunday paper saying Volunteers "Dunn: in" it was great since they were supposed to steamroll us just like the time they unveiled the orange shoes by nike (look that one up we beat them something like 50+ to 24 I believe).

Ok back on point who do you think maybe the sleeper breakout performance today?

My pick is Maze. #4's do good against the Vol's and he got a taste last week so he should be hungry for more.

Who's your boy?

Something I pretty much do every 3-4 years. I tend to stick with one guy until he graduates. Someone comes around that you just want to see play every Saturday and when he makes a great play you just have to stand up and say "there is my boy"! (A new wrinkle is going back and seeing the play again and again, God bless DVR inventor whereever you are!) I think all of my life its been an defensive player like Gilberry and before that Roach. The only offensive player was Ricky Moore but now I just can't wait to see Mark Ingram play. He's a RB that plays like a linebacker. If you need convincing just watch the (horrible production) PPV of WKU when he scores his first or second touchdown....he could have scampered into the corner of the endzone untouched but he turns in and blasts a defensive player on his way JUST BECAUSE HE WANTED TO. Thats my boy!

Ok who is the player you have seen this year that is not a "impact" freshman that you can't wait to see on the field? I personally can not wait to see #4 (Barron) and #41 (Upshaw) on the field in the coming years just because they will "pop a knot" on peoples head when they get a chance. I've seen 2-3 great hits from them on special teams this year. I like to root for some "2nd teamers" that show some heart...a great example of this working out this year is #5 (Upchurch). Without the blocked punt do you think he would have seen the field as much?

Oh I have to pull for Texas today. If we have the horses to see someone at the end of the year I want them just because we need to end the streak against them. That should show my age.

Ok now that we are half-way home can any of you smart people who do a great job of research tell me how many of this freshman class have red shirt possiblities for the rest of this season. Barring injury I would think everyone who has not played so far this year would go ahead and pick up the red shirt. Position and stars would be cool also. Roll Tide everybody! Bama awards

Ok back to our football team. How many of our players are on "watch" lists for which awards? What are the names of the awards and what do they represent? i.e. best lineman etc. I read somewhere Coffee and Cody were added recently. Anyone else? I think Saban should be on the coach of the year for sure but there maybe too much bias out there for him to take it home but who in america has done more? Roll Tide and beat the rebs!

Apparetly the Auburn peeps are worried about what Bama fans are saying on Roll Bama Roll. Personaly I don't like Franklin, but it's just because he took a shot at Saban's no one talks to the media postion. I hope he lands somewhere and does well since he is gone from Auburn. No joking here but I think he would do well at a Sunbelt type team. As for all the Auburn peeps looking here....I hope you have enjoyed the last 6 years.....

Early embarrising admission

Ok I was going to save this for Auburn but since we are 4-0 and I believe the team can do some special things THIS year.....I freaking love ATM ...that's America's Next Top Model. I can't wait for the shows each week. It all started when I caught a marathon on MTV one sunday and has not stopped since. Since I'm a 37 year old male with two very little kids and I have no since of fashion I have no excuse. I am just totally enamored with the show.

I'm posting early due to an awards banquet I have to travel to attend for 15 years of service to my work...DURING THE FREAKING GAME! So since I can't do my regular rituals...please please please everyone keep to your superstitions this week.

ESPN highlights (not for the kids folks)

Ok I hate to be one of the Bama "everyone is out to get us" freaks but.....WTF ESPN!

I just saw a montage of clips from the 1st week of action and was thinking well we sure should have some coverage just because it was on ABC and we shitkicked the ACC's "best" team.

As it goes we see all kinds of great stuff, long runs, hits ( great one from Auburn), catches etc.

The only fucking clip from our dismantling of Clemson was...can you fucking guess....thats right the kickoff return in the 2nd half. Granted great play but what about the hit that Burton Scott laid on their ass earlier?

ABC/ESPN makes a fucking TON of money off this game and we get this stinking, festering pile of monkey shit clip!
