Sactown Royalty Marcus Thornton By The Numbers

The Marcus Thornton + Cash for Carl Landry trade seems to be fairly polarizing around these parts. The way I see it is this: The Kings add an promising young wing to a weak backcourt, while saving money this year, AND freeing up some of the frontcourt's clutter. While we're at it, I'd like you, the Sactown Royalty reader, to peep Marcus Thornton's career numbers when playing 30+ minutes. I think it goes to show, when the kid gets some run, there are few young shooting guards that are better (offensively anyways).

21.0 points per game / 4.3 rebounds per game / 2.4 assists per game / 1.2 steals per game / 0.2 blocks per game / 1.6 turnovers per game / 47% FG / 38% 3PT / 85% FT / .571 True Shooting %

So what do you guys (and gals) think? Bench spark? Ideal sidekick to Tyreke Evans? Aftethought?

Sactown Royalty Are We Underrating DeMarcus Cousins' Rookie Season?

Cousins Rookie Numbers

It's not very catchy, but it is true.

I think he's shows some excellent growth in shot selection as the season has progressed, and once he get's his turnovers under control, the sky's the limit.

Via HOOPSWORLD

Sean May Gets His Deal: Sean May has reached a one-year $800,000 deal with the Sacramento Kings, contingent on passing a physical later this week. May has been training since late April at Impact Basketball in Las Vegas and has really transformed his body. May drew the attention of a half-dozen teams last week who stopped by to see him workout and to talk with him about deals. May confided to HOOPSWORLD that he was not looking for a "money-deal" he was looking for a place to start his career over and to get a chance to play.
