Phillips Castillo named second best prospect in AZL by BA
Why I bet he'll go on to be a star!
Chrome Baseball Player Searcher
For those of you with Google Chrome, this is a really cool extension that allows you to search for a player on B-R, Fangraphs, BPro, StatCorner, First Inning, Cot's Baseball Contracts, and Minor League Splits all at once. It is pretty sweet and seems to be the perfect tool for when you get that sudden urge to learn all about Ted Lilly.

2010 Lineups!
I decided to look at what our 2010 lineups would look like and the potency of our offense. The results were pretty expected but there were some neat facts along the way, which I shall share after the jump!

My Favorite Player: Rob Johnson
Players like Omar Vizquel, Cesar Izturis, and Adam Everett have always intrigued me. They're the players that manage to be given starting roles and maintain those starting roles while putting up wOBAs under .300. Excellent hitters are fun to watch, but I find that it's these terrible hitters that are the most fun to analyze. That brings me to the subject of this here FanPost: Rob Johnson. I understand people are annoyed by Rob Johnson and all the love he gets for calling a great game, but for some reason I enjoy watching him. Excellent hitters are boring; there's no hope associated with them. Cardinals fans don't start the season hoping Albert Pujols puts up a wOBA above .400. That's pretty much a guarantee. We are fortunate enough to have Rob Johnson around, a player we get to hope posts a wOBA above .300 this coming season. I understand that FanPosts don't hide information the way front page posts do, but I've always liked the idea of the jump so... an analysis of Rob Johnson's hitting coming up after the jump!

Baseball News!
Well at least a little bit of it
Bad news, fans of Daniel Cabrera. It looks like he'll be headed to Washington D.C. to start for the Nats. No dollar amount yet, but I like this signing and methinks he'll fit right in.
In other news:
Andy Pettitte wants to go back to the Yankees and they want him for their rotation.
Hmm. So their rotation will be
1. Sabathia
2. Burnett
3. Wang
4. Pettitte
5. Chamberlain/Hughes/Kennedy/???
Pettitte's had a tRA+ of around 107 for the last three years, so as long as this isn't a long contract (and I have a feeling it'll just be a one year contract) I think this is a good idea for the Yankees. As long as nobody gets hurt (I'm looking at you, AJ), this could be the most dangerous rotation in baseball.
In summation, the Yankees added an asset to their rotation while the Nationals added a question mark.
