Behind the Steel Curtain Stillers bars around the country

Hi All,

Long time, no post, but very excited about the season getting started! This time last year, as a resident of DC, I knew just where to go to watch the games that weren't broadcast nationally. For any of you in that area, the best Steelers bar by far in the District is definitely the Pour House on Pennsylvania Avenue in Capitol Hill (think the cross street is around 3rd or 4th). Three floors of Steelers fans, packed to the rafters every Sunday. They even had pierogis (albeit bad ones)!

As this season approaches, I find myself a brand new resident of Chicago, and so I need your input on where to find my fellow Steelers fans watching the games, here in the midst of Bearsland. I live close to downtown, and being car-free don't have easy access to the suburbs. Taking that into account, where would Chi-town Steelers fans tell me to go?

Many of you long-time posters have no doubt seen this before, but below is a link from the Post-Gazette showing you where you can find like-minded Stillers fans around the country.

Present this to your boss to receive official sanction for showing up late to work on Monday. You know you'll need it!

Behind the Steel Curtain "NFC has most of the elite quarterbacks in the league"

Don't start screaming at me -- I'm only repeating what Don Banks is blathering about over on si.com.

Seriously. He makes some statement about with Brady out, and Manning the elder sucking, all the QBs who looked really good from week one are in the NFC.

So, are you thinking what I'm thinking -- isn't he forgetting someone? Do you think the name was too long for him to spell? Was he like "Oh yeah, there is that Rotlis... I mean, Rothling, uh.. Oh forget, it. They'll never notice."

Someone else on the site mentioned this a week or so ago, but I don't get why Ben, and the Steelers in general, are overlooked when sports writers are nattering on about elite QBs or teams that are real contenders this year. Anyone else find this as annoying or inexplicable as I do? I mean, I know I'm biased, but still...
