"Top to bottom" better than Ngata???
Upamtn interviews RAC about Dontari Poe @ 11
Recap of Poe in the 1st, and should the Chiefs trade up to the top of the 2nd?
The First round of the 2012 NFL draft is in the books with the Chiefs walking way with Poe (NT - Memephis) as not only the first DT/NT, but the first of ALL D-Lineman off the board at #11. RAC knows D-Lineman like Shanahan knows RBs, Haley knows WRs, Herm knows DBs so I think that Poe will do the damn deal and punches some folks in the mouths at Arrowhead on Sundays for years to come. Period, end of sentence, end of recap.
On to the 2nd round...Is there a player on the board right now worth trading up to the top of the second round to get??? Let's take a look (w/ Poll) after "The Jump"...
Possible Chiefs trade down opportunity
Lets say someone tasty (like Trent Richardson) falls to the Chiefs at 11th overall and we trade back to 22nd overall (470 points in value) with the Browns. In return the Chiefs would...
...trade 2nd's (Chiefs get 37th overall, Browns get 44th overall = 70 points; Browns owe 400/470)
...Cleveland’s 3rd round (67th overall = 225 points; Browns owe 175/400 points)
...Browns 4th (100th overall = 100 points; Browns owe 75/175 points).
Cleveland will get Trent Richardson AND who ever they drafted with 4th overall (Do you think Browns would get excited about getting Justin Blackmon AND Trent Richardson?)...and still (points wise) be 75+ to the good.
Next let’s take a look at what the Chiefs 2012 draft picks overall look like after a trade like this, and what we could get from such a deal...
Dolphins switch to a 4-3 defense and what it could mean for the Chiefs.
According to an article on Yahoo.com The Dolphins will be transitioning from a 3-4 to a 4-3 defense.
GM Jeff Ireland was say that "If we had to go 4-3, we certainly have personnel to make a pretty good transition," as well as "I've prepared our scouts early on in the process, especially in December, we need to be looking at 4-3 personnel"
This could be GREAT news for the Kansas City Chiefs, and I will tell you why after the jump...

Lets take a closer look at the statistics between Weeks 1-3 and 4-8 after the Jump to see what exactly has changed....

Rivers has a new nickname...
Philip "dropped ball" Rivers
A fan (PantyRaider) from S&BP wanted me to post this on Arrowhead pride (I guess he thought we might get as much of a chuckle out of it as the Raiders fans did).
Me being the nice guy I am was happy to oblige. Here is the link the the original S&BP post (some of the comments are pretty damn funny)...

Should the Chargers be afraid on Halloween?
via www.sportsbusinessdaily.com
The Chargers will be walking into a 'perfect storm' against our Chiefs who are on a 3 game winning steak, playing for top spot in the AFC West, at home, on MNF, Halloween night. I think it could be ‘too much’ for the Dolts to handle and the Chiefs will walk away with a win.

If I were Eric Berry I would be BEGGING Pioli to bring in Dawan Landry. Berry loves him some Ed Reed and Landry could tell Eric ALL about him. Does anyone know if Dawan Landry has shown any leadership skills in his past?
Available FA that I would LOVE to see the Chiefs sign
There a quite a few quality Free Agents to be had this season and here are a few that I would love the see our Chiefs go after. In no particular order here they are...
Matt Cassel by the numbers.
They say numbers don't lie, so what are Matt Cassel's numbers and how do they compare to other QB's in the NFL. Let’s take a look...

Indystar.com already has Chiefs at 4-0.
NFL Power Rankings 1...2...3...by the numbers (Week 5) with DivineGrace...
"By the numbers" Week 4 was great for some teams and horrible for others. Lets take a quick look at the biggest winners and losers from Week 4...
BIGGEST WINNERS:
New York Jets:
Up 8 spots from #9 to #1
In Week 4 the Jets played the worst team in the NFL (Buffalo) and took advantage of it in the Power Rankings. The Jets 38-14 victory brings their Season APD to +11.3 and that puts them on top off all the teams with a Leauge best 3 Wins, edgeing out the undefeated Chiefs (APD +10.0) who were on Bye last week.
San Diego Chargers:
Up 8 spots from #19 to #11
San Diego took care of business against the Arizona Cardinals beating them 41-10. The Chargers bounce back to the .500 mark with an APD of +10.5 good for 11th overall and making them the 'best' of all 2-2 teams.
New England Patriots:
Up 7 spots from #11 to #4
New England picks up a road win against division rival Miami Dolphins in a 41-14 blowout. This was a team effort by the Pats with 3 no-offensive touchedown, 2 on special teams and a 3rd from an interception returned for a touchdown.
Houston Texans:
Up 7 spots from #15 to #8
Houston goes to 3-1 on the season with a 31-24 with win on the raod in Oakland. Arian Foster continues to be a major contributor to the Texans with his 131 rushing (1 rushing TD) to go along with 3 catches for 56 yards (1 reception TD).
BIGGEST LOSERS:
Tennessee Titans:
Down 8 spots from #4 to #12
Tennessee drops one at home to the Denver Broncos losing 20-26. The Titans were leading 20-16 going into the 4th quarter but had no answer to the 10 points put up in the 4th by the Broncos.
Chicago Bears:
Down 7 spots from #3 to #10
Chicago is no longer unbeaten after giving up 10 sacks in their 17-3 loss to the New York Giants. The Bears quaterback Jay Cutler was sacked 9 times before he left the game with a concussion after the first half.
Indianapolis Colts:
Down 7 spots from #7 to #14
Indianapolis falls to 2-2 for the season after losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars 28-31. The Colts gave up 174 rushing yards to the Jags and will face the Kansas City Chiefs who are the last undefeated team in the NFL and have been rushing for an average of 160.7 yards per game.
How did all the other teams place "by the numbers" in the Power Rankings after the 4th week in the NFL. Find out after "the jump"...
NFL Power Rankings 1...2...3...by the numbers (Week 4) with DivineGrace
"By the numbers" Week 3 was great for some teams and horrible for others. Lets take a quick look at the biggest winners and losers in Week 3...
BIGGEST WINNERS:
Philadelphia Eagles:
Up 10 spots from #18 to #8
The Eagles go one game up on the Cowboys, Redskins, and Giants in the NFC East by stomping the Jags 28-3. Love him or hate him, Michal Vick proved he can ball by going 17 of 30 for 291 yards and 3 touchdowns while running for another 30 yards on 4 carries and rushing for a 4th touchdown.
Philadelphia's defense got to David Garrard all day with Trent Cole (2-sacks), Trevor Laws (1-sack), Nate Allen (1-sack), Darryle Tapp (1-sack), and Jaqua Parker (1-sack) combining for 6 sacks for 51 yards.
Tennessee Titans:
Up 7 spots from #11 to #4
The Titans at 2-1 after week 3 are neck and neck with the Colts and Texans by beating the Giants 29-10. Chirs Johnson lead the way for Tennesseewith 32 carries for 125 yards (3.9 ypc) and 2 touchdowns.
Eli Manning gave up 2 interceptions with Ahmand Bradshaw giving up another turnover for a total of 3 to a very good Titan Defense that has held their opponents to an average of 14 points per game (5th in the NFL).
Minesota Vikings:
Up 7 spots from #28 to #21
The Vikings notch their first "W" for the season beating Division rivals Detroit Lions 24 - 10. Adrian Peterson ran all over the Lions going 160 yards on 23 carries and scoring 2 touchdowns adding other 30 yards on 5 receptions.
Dallas Cowboys:
Up 7 spots from #29 to # 22
The Cowboys stay withing one game of the Eagles in the NFC East with their 27 - 13 win over the up and coming Houston Texans. Dallas RB Marion Barber notches his first touchdown of the season and RoyWilliams show why he was a first round draft pick with his 5 receptions for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns.
BIGGEST LOSERS:
Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
Down 14 spots from #3 to #17
The Buccaneers are now in a 3 way tie for first in the NFC South with the Falcons and Saints after losing to Pittsburgh 13-38. LeGarrette Blount's lone touchdown and a pair of field goals was better then average against a league leading Steeler Defense (only allowing an average of 11 points per game)...but not good enough.
Miami Dolphins:
Down 11 spots from #5 to #16
The Dolphins missed an opportunity to take the lead in the AFC East with their 23-31 loss to divison rival New York Jets. Even with no Darrelle Revis, Brandon Marshall's 10 receptions for 166 yards and 1 touchdown performance wasn't enough to overcome Jets QB Mark Senchez's (3 touchdowns) and LaDainian Tomlinson (1 touchdown).
San Francisco 49ers:
Down 11 spots from #21 to #32
The 49ers are now ranked dead last in the NFL after their getting beat down 10-31 by the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs went up 7-0 earily in the 2nd quarter and never gave the lead back holding the 49ers to one 51 yard field goal until 00:00 left in the game when Alex Smith found Josh Morgan in a garbage time touchdown against the Chiefs 2nd string Defense.
Did I mention that "By the numbers" the Kansas City Chiefs are ranked #2!?! Let's take a look a the complete Power Rankings after "The Jump"...

Albert Haynesworth: I am not a slave
So true Albert...you are no slave, then again you are no "Professional" either!!!
What you are is the EPITOME of a self serving, me-centric, a$$-hat, who couldn't carry the jock of real professionals (look to the sky with the number 58 on my mind).
I pray that you do something very "Albert" to either lose or spend all that money and end up living under a bridge.
Most of all...I will CHEER the day you are finally drummed out of the NFL.

KC Vs. SF...by the numbers with DivineGrace
Kansas City Chiefs: 16 - San Fransisco 49ers: 17
How did I come up with such a crazy score. Lets take a look at the numbers after "The Jump"...
Oh what a difference one year makes. (With Poll)
Two games into the 2009 season the Chiefs had commited 14 penalties for 119 yards lost.
Here is a quote from Haley after our 2nd game in 2009 against the Raiders
"When you have nine penalties, two turnovers and a couple other lapses, you’re not going to win most of the time," he said. "We didn’t get the result we wanted. We’re going to have a smart team here. Nine penalties and a couple of those things don’t reflect a smart team. We’re going to get back to work because we’re going to have a smart team here."
After 2 games in 2010 we only have commited 7 total for 65 yards lost. The Chiefs are looking a lot 'smarter" this season.
What else has changed since this time last season? Let examine the changes after the jump...

NFL Power Rankings 1...2...3...by the numbers (Week 3) with DivineGrace
SB Nation (Thank you Joel), FOX Sports, Walter Football, Pro Football Talk, and RealGM all have their NFL Power Rankings so I thought "my 2 cents is just as good as theirs" and decided to make my own.
My rankings have nothing to do with who is on the teams, who is coaching them, what region/state/city the teams are from, where the games were played, the teams history, my personal opinions, or any such non-sense.
My NFL Power Rankings are 1...2...3...by the numbers. What are DivineGrace's NFL Power Ranks you ask? What are these "numbers" I speak of? Find out after the jump...

Chiefs are 2-0 in firm lead of the AFC West...and Chiefs fans STILL want Cassel replaced.
Cassel leads the Chiefs to a Field Goal late in the 4th quarter to put the Chiefs in a position to win the game. The Chiefs go on win the game because of it and Chiefs fans STILL are asking for his head....please stop this.

No love from the National Media!!!
Good morning Kansas City Chiefs fans! How bout dem Chiefs???
Kansas City did want none of the National Media said they could do...beat the Chargers and we didn't in a way that we as fans haven't seen in a LONG time....WITH DEFENSE!
So after a 12 hour shift I come home, and as I do every day, then turned on Mike and Mike in the Morning to see the highlights from the game. The problem is they are not showing the highlights.
After the jump I will break down what I did see and hear....

And now, for something completely unexpected...
Before last years draft everyone was talking about our Chiefs taking Aaron Curry with our #3 overall pick. Pioli instead did the completely unexpected (by all but a FEW) and drafted Tyson Jackson with the #3 pick.
This year everyone is talking about our Chiefs taking Russell Okung, Brian Bulaga, or the AP concencious Eric Berry with our # 5 overall pick. I think there is a chance that Pioli does the completely unexpected again THIS year and drafts....
