He was recently placed on waivers and claimed by an unknown team. a lot of people are speculating it is the phillies, but Ruben Amaro has also recently stated the phils are done shopping and if any problem arises with a player ( injurys, brad lidges horrible pitchings) that it will be handled within the team. now i am all for trevor hoffman right now 27 saves only 2 blown, and his contract is up at the end of this year. i feel its time to give lidge the year off, he can try again next year, and  bring in hoffman to close it out. how do you guys feel about it?

I read an article on espn insider about the eagles releasing vetrans and how its worked out for them.  (trotter, douglas, taylor, and vincent) but the truly interestering part of the article came at the very bottom.  This is what it had to say about kevin kolb-

                 "Our Lewin Career Forecast system, which projects quarterback performance based on games started  and completion percentage in college, pegs Kevin Kolb as the second-most promising quarterback prospect of the decade (behind only Philip Rivers). "

i did not know that at all and even thought that forecast system means absolutely nothing in the nfl, it does give me a little hope for the future.

seen this while watchin pardon the interuption on the espn bottom news scroll. i havent been able to find any other website mention it but the scroll said he went to the 15 day dl with an oblique strain. im just wondering who they will call up. my guess is escalona and maybe he can take the star away from bastardo, or they may call back up carpenter. id feel the same way with him and give him a start again over bastardo. neither of them did bad at all in there starts and with bastardo's fastball he may be better off in relief.

I read this article about how Harrison would make the eagles offseason complete. i wanted to get your view on this. Marvin would definitely have to draw attention from the secondary and away from curtis or as this article says D jack being #1.  I  wouldnt be against it as long as he takes the veterans minimum.
