Washington Wizards to become the D.C. Stars

I believe that if you look at the three logos that are now up around the stadium you will also come to the same conclusion that I did - that the Washington Wizards are about to become the D.C. Stars.

There is a the new D.C. with a hand below a basketball (similar to the two wands on the Ls in the old Bullets logo). This suggests we will become the D.C. "something".

The new main logo in red, white, and blue is of a basketball with the Washington Monument we a star on top. The lines of the basketball extending from the star. We certainly won't be named the D.C. Basketballs....so you are only left with two things: The Washington Monument and a Star. Is it possible we could become the D.C. Monuments? Yes this is possible, and Ted's holding company is Monumental Sports and Entertainment. This is a horrible team name - Monuments? How do you cheer for that? Lets go Mon's!? I guess you could skip the team name and just say "Go D.C.!" Which may be the new basic cheer regardless.

The clincher is that the third logo show around the stadium is of three stars...just like the three stars on the D.C. flag. It is also interesting that there is a very prominent star on the current Wizards team shorts as well.

When you put these three logos together you come to the conclusion that the new team name will be the D.C. Stars!

I'm fairly new to Bullets Forever (other than reading an occasional post). This is an idea I have generated on my own. I haven't seen this posted anywhere or reported on any of the major news feeds. I have seen discussion and angst about us becoming the Washington Monuments (angst I definitely share). I have not seen anyone yet suggest that we will be the D.C. Stars.

Has this been suggested by someone else yet? What do you think?
