Bleeding Dodger Blue Since 1982!

I have been a Dodgers fan since I first started getting into baseball at age 7. This was when Fernandomania was running wild on the baseball scene and the Dodgers has such greats as Sax, Garvey, Russel, Cey, Guerrero, Scioscia, etc. Now I have to mention that I grew up in the Bay Area, the heart of Giants country. This created a big problem for me growing up in that Giants fans "hate" anything Dodgers. I was often beat up, spit on, and generally despised. But it never stopped me from wearing my Dodgers Starter jacket (remember those?) to school. I did stop going to Candlestick for games after a bunch of pot smoking, drunken Giants fans kept throwing crap at me and my Mom, who took me to the game as a present. That and the numerous stabbings and broken car windows of Dodgers fans were enough to keep me away. Needless to say I "HATE" the Giants and that rivalry will always be the biggest in my eyes because I experienced it first hand.

I am a huge MLB fan that now lives in Padre country. My observations have been that the Dodgers/Padres rivalry is not even close to that of the Dodgers/Giants. And on top of that, Dodgers fans are not nearly as hateful of the Giants (with the exception of Lasorda) as the Giants fans are of the Dodgers. I guess everyone hates a champion.

I have two sons, 1 & 3, that are already hitting baseballs that I pitch to them. And I have dutifully got them to both cheer "Go Dodgers" at my beckoned call. Plus the older one sings a mean "Take me out to the ballgame!" I eat, sleep, and drink Dodger baseball. I subscribe to MLB.com each season so I can watch every game on my laptop wherever I go. I am a professional Internet marketer that is published in many industry media outlets. I have also spoken at many conferences and events. I also run three Internet marketing blogs.
