New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady did not practice for the second straight day Thursday, and the Patriots pinpointed a new ailment for him -- his ribs.

Brady was listed on the team's participation report as having a right finger, right shoulder and rib injury. Brady's rib injury was disclosed for the first time.

In Sunday's 22-21 loss to the Dolphins, Brady retreated to the locker room after taking a big hit on a 58-yard touchdown pass to Randy Moss in the first quarter. Brady, who didn't miss any snaps, did not say what he had been treated for in the locker room.

Brady's right finger injury was added to the report last week and was a hot topic before Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Brady finished 19-of-29 for 352 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in the game.

Asked Wednesday if the Patriots changed what they did offensively against the Dolphins to compensate for Brady's right finger injury, coach Bill Belichick said: "We didn't change much. You saw the first drive of the game [which ended with a 58-yard touchdown bomb to Randy Moss]. The plays we had, we ran. There weren't really any changes."

From Peter Kings write up in SI about this weekends matchup:

"Baltimore 16, Miami 6. They played in Week 7, at Miami, and Baltimore won 27-13. Lesson from that game: Chad Pennington was an efficient 68-percent passer, and the Wildcat gave the Fish nothing. They ran it five times, for minus-one, five, zero, minus-three and three yards. Pennington will try to test Baltimore's corners a few times downfield, and his success or failure will determine the outcome. My view, obviously, is that the Comeback Player of the Year will not have one final comeback in him Sunday. Too much front-seven pressure from the unpredictable Ravens."

I hate his stupid picture with his buffalo head and little white streak and I hate his predictions.

....Did I mention also that he sucks what an A-hole !

At the Helm....

I was thinking about this the other day.....

You know, watching games over all these years I have seen many, many things. But one thing I have noticed over the years is how many times that QB's get taken out of the game (sometimes on a strecher), especially in very important games by a blitzing linebacker or corner or whatever. This happens many times in this league, and the worst shots are the one's that the QB never see's coming. I know that most good QB's have that fifth sense that they usually know when someone on defense is closing on them with plans to end their career or playing time in the game....

What I'm getting at is, what a luxury it is to finally have a worthy and confident backup QB on this team. I know we have had some real dud's in the past like the Cleo "Medowlark" Lemon's, the Ray "Puke's" Lucas'. to mention a few.... and well,.... isn't it nice to have a very confident Chad Henne waiting in the wings who is very much capable of stepping in and not missing a beat in an important game.

I think that sometimes we take for granted how lucky we are to have such a great backup just in case CP10 gets blindsided. I personally never was a huge Henne fan, but I have to say that he has thoroughly impressed me since joining this team. I feel that given the opportunity will really prove his worth as a Dolphin.

....Thoughts?

Okay, So I've picked all the navel oranges off of the tree outside, the grill is sparkly clean and ready, I've cleaned the house like four times ( And I don't even like housework ), I've got the cold beer in the cooler, my wife thinks I'm losing it, my daughter thinks I'm losing it, our three dogs are looking at me like WTF is up dude......

Basically a nervous wreck over the game I've needed to see for years. This team has single handedly made me glad that I toughed it out through all those difficult seasons especially last year. This team now has made it all worth while. They have heart, They have soul, they have toughness, They have the mentality, They have all of those things that make you proud to be a fan.....

Now lets woop some new england chowda ASS !

God I love this team !!!! GO MIAMI DOLPHINS !!!!!!!!!!

Is there any way the Phins can afford to get this guy? I have no idea, but I do know that our corners are not the best out there and obviously this guy is one of the premier corners in the league....... Here is the press release:

"Angered by the Oakland Raiders' 2-6 start, team owner Al Davis asked his front office staff to explore the possibility of releasing several players, including cornerback DeAngelo Hall, according to multiple sources.

Hall

The Raiders are expected to release Hall on Wednesday, sources told ESPN's Michael Smith."

I doubt that we could afford him but I'm not sure where our cap is...

One last thought. How come teams like Dallas can afford to get 3 or 4 big names and still stay under the cap???

I say we get him.... Any thoughts or comments??

So now we join 9 other NFL teams that are 0 and 2. There is much football yet to see this season. I am still excited about these boys making the step to being men. I remember watching last season thinking that it can’t get any worse, little did I know, it still can.

The one thing I didn’t count on was how poorly coached this team is. I don’t blame Sparano specifically, but I think it is the whole staff. With that being said the whole team has room for improvement albeit Coaches, Players, Play calling, Execution, Use of timeouts. I do think it will get better in time, but I think the fans, myself included, are ready for the losing to stop now. If we win 5 games for the season I would be extremely happy ( especially if one of those 5 is the jets). So sit back, grab a cold one and try not to expect much of anything, then slowly and painfully one day my friends victory will be ours. If we can just win one game it could change everything for the better.

I just wanted to thank all of those that have had a hand in orginizing this site. It is truly one of the best out there. Hat's off to all of you that have made it possible. I have been thinking about becoming a member for a long time and just never taken the time to fill out the necessary forms. That doesn't mean I haven't been reading the forum for a very long time. Also thanks to Matty and others that have posted all of those awsome video's on the weekends, it is one of the highlights of my week when I sign on and watch some of the best players to ever put on a Dolphin uniform. Again thanks to all that contribute to this site. It is the best !

Go Dolphins !!!
