Mario Williams to Miami?
This guy thinks it's possible. I really doubt that he leaves Houston, since it would be a PR nightmare and he's still an outstanding talent. The author brings up a good point though about the cap space, and there's no doubt he'd be a perfect addition for our new 4-3 to compliment Cameron Wake. However, I think his price tag will be much too high and our front office will look elsewhere to spend our money.
I hadn't ever seen a Dolphins computer case before so I took the matter into my own hands. How do you think it looks?

My new man-crush. Gerell Robinson is 6'4" 222lbs and was a senior this season. His projected 40 time is 4.58 and upon looking around, he's slated as a 6th-UFA prospect. He gets great explosion off the line, uses his size well, displays great hands, and creates so many yards after the catch. He gets open well in man and zone, and provides a big target for a QB who struggles with accuracy.
I want this guy, I'd be willing to spend as high as a 4th.
Matt Moore is playing well
If he continues the season playing this well, do you still take a QB with the first pick next year? If so, is Matt Moore trade bait?
Should we re-sign Chad Henne?
Before getting injured this season, Chad Henne seemed to be a completely different guy than the one we saw in past years. Should we re-sign him, maybe to a one year contract like what the 49ers did with Alex Smith? Maybe he could start ahead of whoever we draft next year, and if he plays well enough we might be able to get a good return on him.
Jason Terry 9/10 from 3-point land, Peja Stojakovic 6-6. Best 1-2 duo from beyond the arc in the history of the NBA Playoffs.
You happy Texascowpunk? I know I am!
PS: This clearly is related to the Dolphins because the Mavericks are headed to the NBA Finals soon enough, and the last time they were in the Finals they played the Heat - who are from the same city as the Dolphins :)
Julio Jones:
Ran a 4.39 (3rd fastest at the combine)
11'3" broad jump (overall best)
6'3" 220 lbsI understand we have a lot of other holes to fill on offense, but I'll admit that I wouldn't be disappointed if we took him at 15.
Dolphins vs. Raiders - What made our offense work?
I'm sure that you all, just like me, are indulging in that blissful feeling you get after seeing your team win. Today's win was different than the wins we've been accustomed to experiencing - I'm used to feeling physically exhausted after a win because the whole game was stressful from beginning to end, with the game usually coming down to the wire and countless close calls where we could have ended up losing.
Another way this game was different is that for the first time this season, we posted a score of 30+. We may have been the last team in the league to do so, but in the end our team got it done. All of this was quite unexpected, given the injury troubles we've been experiencing as well as the lack of performance of our offensive unit as a whole.
This begs the question - how did the Miami Dolphins achieve such a feat today, especially considering they were without our "best player" in Brandon Marshall?
Cameron Wake is the NFL's best pass-rusher on passing downs. ESPN Stats & Information delivered a neat item about the Dolphins' outside linebacker. Wake has recorded an NFL-best 8.5 sacks with five or more defensive backs on the field (i.e., obvious passing downs). Clay Matthews has eight such sacks. Brian Orakpo is third with 7.5 sacks. What better time for a pass-rusher to come through than when the opponent needs to throw?

Brandon Marshall: 3rd in receptions, 5th in yards
If you're like me, you thought Brandon Marshall had two decent (or maybe even sub-par) games and then one breakout game. When I looked up his stats, I expected to see him somewhere near the middle of the pack, but as it turns out, he's tied for 3rd in the league in receptions and 5th in the league for yards.
Someone else pointed out that if you extrapolate his stats throughout the full season, he would have:
117 catches for 1547 yards and 5 touchdowns. The touchdowns is kinda low but...I'll gladly take that. Ladies and gentlemen, we have our alpha-receiver.

Phinsider Tailgate?
It seems that a bunch of us are going to be at the Dolphins vs. Jets game this weekend, and chances are (being the dedicated fans we are) that we'll be getting there early and doing some tailgating, right? Is anyone up for meeting up before the game and doing some tailgating?
New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins - Who's there?
So this is going to be my third regular season Fins game (I caught a preseason as well) and so far we're undefeated at games I've attended. Let's hope we don't need that extra luck - but it's worth pointing out. Hopefully we'll maintain our unbeaten streak when wearing orange too. Either way, this is going to be a huge game, and in my opinion the most entertaining game of the season. Prime time, nationally televised, the Jets egos are huge and we're looking to go 3-0 and take a good grasp on the division which we're already on top of.
My question is this: Who else will be there? I'm going with a friend and my uncle and it'd be awesome to see some Phinsiders there. We're seated in Section 416, Row 29 (yeah I'm a college student and couldn't afford any better.) I'm wearing my orange Marshall jersey to support our cause...you should too.
Some potentially interesting storylines:
- Marshall's emergence as our new Jet-killer
- Henne vs. Sanchez and the endless debate that WILL (keyword: will, not "should") ensue
- Revis's absence and its effect on our passing game
- Jason Taylor's homecoming, of sorts
- Most of all, the Jets looking to avenge their sweep from 2009 and keep the Dolphins from having a 4-game win streak against them

Defensive Players of the Week
Cameron Wake, LB; Koa Misi, LB; Vontae Davis, CB, Miami. A great defensive day in Minneapolis for the Dolphins was led by a trio of impact players. Wake had 1.5 sacks and forced an end zone fumble by Favre that resulted in a strip-sack that Misi (two quarterback hits, two tackles) recovered in the end zone for what turned out to be the game-winning score. Davis had an acrobatic interception and backed up Dansby on a goal-line stoning that was the biggest defensive play in the game.

Dez Bryant planning on playing vs. Dolphins
This will be the best preseason test for our defense if he plays. Miles Austin, Dez Bryant, Patrick Crayton, Sam Hurd, Jason Witten, Felix Jones...that's a lot of weapons to deal with.
This video was posted a while back, but I thought it deserves a refresher. I feel really really good about Starks playing the nose. If you watch the video, he does everything you could possibly ask a nose tackle to do. Watch how the D-line collapses the pocket on just about every play. If only we had better play from our LB's -.-
Jets interested in an interesting veteran QB
First off - let me say that I think it's wise for the Jets to bring in a veteran to mentor Sanchez.
Second - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA as if one bust wasn't enough, they're competing with Pam Anderson
Peter King's mock has us trading down
If Peter King thinks it's possible then I'm a little more optimistic about it happening. The bad news is, he has us picking Ryan Matthews. Uhh....really dude?
Offseason Player Competitions
We all know that in the offseason, the team is preparing for the regular season which lies ahead. The main reason for the offseason though, one might argue, is to determine the final roster for the regular season. We all know how these players "battle it out" for their roster spot in training camps; for example, wide receivers will do catching drills, linebackers do tackling drills, etc.
I think we, as fans, deserve better than this. I love football, but come on now, who wants to watch agility drills or shuttle-races or bench reps? We want to see interesting things. We want more close-ups with our favorite players and we want to see how they perform in real, entertaining competitions.
Alas, I bring to you my competitions for what I'd like to see in training camp.
2008 Miami Dolphins vs. 2009 Miami Dolphins
As we all know, our team finished 11-5 and won the AFC East in 2008. Even though we were 1-15 the year before, a new front office and countless new players contributed to our success. Still, with the season's success, many still believed that we weren't as good as our record indicated. It was always a matter of having a "weak schedule" or "getting lucky." As fans, we were confident that the next year we'd be better by leaps and bounds.

What's your most memorable Fins game?
Yes it's depressing that we have to live without any more Dolphins football for another 8 months or so, but I always find myself reflecting on particular games of the past. Even if we played some pretty bad games in our history, I still credit the Dolphins for showing me some of the best football I could imagine, and that's not even being a biased Fin fan.
Of the recent games, I can't help but think of this year's Monday Night Football game against the Jets. That game was simply electrifying, and it seemed like it got better and better as the game progressed. We saw beautiful plays made by plenty of Dolphins, and I can't remember the last time I got goosebumps like when I saw Henne connect with Ginn on that 53 yard touchdown.
Also, last year's season finale against the Jets. Even if you don't consider the drama of Pennington vs. his former team, the game was incredible and tight. Ginn made some huge plays (who'd have thought?) and if you factor in the rivalry between the two teams, it made for a very memorable game.
Now it's time for you to share yours.
