I don't know about any of you guys but I loved the highlight montages we had during player intros...Does anyone know where i can find decent-quality versions of the blazers' introduction videos? I want to keep em around to look back at as the team keeps evolving, but all I can find are youtube vids taken from cell phones in the arena--which send a chill down my spine to be sure, but aren't quite what i'm looking for.

Draft Bryce Taylor?

I know he's playing the 2 in college, but Taylor could be the perfect combo guard to play the 1 next to brandon--a buttery jumper, good enough ball-handling to not worry too much about pressure, a good slasher who can finish at the rim, quick/athletic and disciplined enough to defend most quick points (i'd say he's a better defender of quick guards than anyone we have on the roster now)

he can run the break too, which would be nice.

Kind of a poor-man's eric gordon, assuming we can't move up far enough in the draft to get gordon, rose, or bayless (who draftexpress has going 3rd), the only real knock on the guy is that he's a tweener, but he has the skills to play a derek-fisher style point if we want brandon being our main distributor

considering that he's projected to go in the early to mid second round (1st pick of the 2nd by nbadraft.net, 19th of the 2nd by draftexpress), and we have 4 second rounders, it's easily concievable we could get this guy without too much maneuvering either.

what do you guys think?

Nothing infuriates me more than seeing someone's shot fall drastically short when i feel like if i got a chance to get out there i could win myself a shiny new whippersnapper

it's a long shot...put some freakin mustard on it

Trout's 3 point shooting

is it just me or has travis developed into a reliable three point threat over the last few games? I've noticed him taking (and hitting) a lot more of them recently...3 for 3 tonight till josh smith blocked one of em

If Trout has a reliable stroke from deep he's going to be absolutely unguardable...i guess the question is do you think he's just having a hot streak from there or is he developing a deadly stroke?

does anyone have a link to somewhere to stream the portland/boston game? unfortunately i have class

i heard pplive but its all in japanese

One-line diaries are prohibited on Blazer's Edge. Give your diary a bit more thought, then give it another shot. If you have nothing to add to your proposed diary, then it probably belongs as a comment under another appropriate thread.

The minimum is 300 characters.

Sitting/standing at games (moral dilemma)

Maybe it's because i go to U of O, where damn near everyone (at least in the student section) stands for the duration of both the basketball and football games, but my biggest pet peeve at the games is when the crowd sits for huge moments at the end of games

I guess I just don't get why in the last five minutes of a close game when there's a timeout everyone stands for the whole thing and the place is rockin, only to sit down again when play resumes...

I naturally get pretty pumped towards the end of games and want to remain standing, but someone behind me always starts complaining...Then as soon as anything remotely exciting happens or someone drives to the rack everyone jumps back to their feet, and if you're not quick enough and the guy in front of you beats you to your feet you miss half the play(i'm not terribly tall)...is it really that important that everyone sit back down for 30 seconds while the play develops? I've been going to sports games all my life, and if the guy in front of me is standing to see an important play, i take that as cue i should too, not to tell him to sit down...

My dad, on the other hand, who i went to the toronto game with, holds the position that if the rest of the section is sitting (which mine was even at a time when the entire end section with the thunderstix was standing) you should follow suit. so i guess my question is, am i being inconsiderate by wanting to remain standing for big plays at the end of games even if the rest of my section sits, or is it reasonable to take the position that being at a sporting event in the last few minutes of a close game, people might get excited and you might have to stand too if you want to see?
