I don't like talking about him. In fact I wish he would no longer be present in any conversation I have.

However, his actions continue to affect the Titans next year. I cannot remember the whole situation with picks etc, and I do not really have time to look up the specifics of the trade. Will someone who has more time than me please update/remind me how this lastest suspension of at least 4 games affects the Titans 2009 draft.

I have got a feeling that Stephen Tulloch may start this year at MLB. I am not sure what makes me think that. I guess its just a hunch or maybe I had a prescient dream or something. If only I could use this power for good like prevent disaster, saving lives or making a lot of money from a bookie.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3434088

Any thoughts?

I need two more words...

3rd Round Pick Projection

Just thought it would be fun in light of yesterdays picks for those of use who read the blog before the draft restarts to make some projections on who we will pick. Obviously, there have got to more players from a school that starts with "Eastern" that would be fun to draft. Let us know! As for me, I think the Titans with pick Dexter Jackson WR Appalachian State. Dexter fits the mold of players the Titans like to take.

With his 4.27 40 he could run the last leg of our 4x100 meter relay team.

He is from a small school that does not consistently play against high level talent

Sounds perfect!

People in Memphis

For those of you in Memphis (I only know of Zackmann but I am sure there are others). I drove by Red Robin on Germantown Pkwy yesterday. On there sign it said that they are having some kind of shindig on Thurs. night and Jevon Kearse and Justin McCareins would be there. I dont know why they got the two new Titans that were ex-Titans, but anyway I though some of you might be interested in checking it out.

AAFL

Is anybidy else following this AAFL thing? I think it could be a really good idea. Obviously it wont actually compete with NFL or even college, but I personally like it better than XFL or AFL. It uses some of the rivalries from college to make games more interesting, and they play actual football. What do you guys think?

Random Patriots Rant

Here's the deal... I keep hearing "well nobody wants to go play in New England during the playoffs". I would agree that pretty much everyone would rather play at home than on the road. However, the announcers(ESPN) imply that the Pats are the only team that can play in the cold. I disagree with that sentiment. They are a pass first offense with an undersized defense that looks great when they are up by 30 by average when it is a close game. Neither one of those attributes are ideal for cold/winter weather. They also make it seem like the all the Patriot players live in igloos and eat snow for breakfast. Most of the players live in Florida or California, they grew up there and went to school there. Lets not give them an advantage they dont have. The only advantage they have by playing at home is their fans not the weather.

Lendale Slogan

As you all saw on Sunday. Lendale needs to convert to fullback or LOSE some weight. I am not talking a lot of weight just ~10 lbs to get him down to 235-240. He would still be a bruiser, but he would be able to pop through those holes he is just barely missing. Until he does lose that weight I propose the slogan "Ben and Jerry's = 1 yard carries"

I have no idea if people on here look at Page 2 on ESPN. If you havent read DJ Gallo's camp notes form ESPN's page 2 I definitely recommend it. They are hilarious. Heres the link:

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=gallo/070817&sportCat=nfl&lpos=spotlight& ;lid=tab6pos1

The Jacksonville one is particularly funny.
Enjoy!
