Can we make a bet about Oden's minutes? I keep hearing this 20-minute thing and I couldn’t disagree more with it. If Oden doesn’t average at least 28 minutes a game his rookie year, I’ll eat my nonexistent internet hat. Let’s make that our over-under. You and me DonkeyShins! Mano a mano! Over or under 28?? Only time will tell…

I spent several years in Eastern Washington, so this week's weather hasn't been too bad, except for the whole "I'm getting old, so everything hurts when it is cold" aspect of life. To add to the fun, I have to keep the ice broken up in the watering trough in the pasture for the goats, keep the propane heater going in the greenhouse so the veggies don't die and make sure the chickens don't lay ice cubes. Ah, the joys of semi-rural life. Is it spring yet?

On the plus side, watching the Blazers wallop the Kings was a joy, and I'm looking forward to a bit of revenge on the part of the Blazers against the Suns tomorrow night. I'm just hoping they don't wilt under the pressure of national (TNT) exposure. Let's also hope that Roy's knee (and finger), Batum's knee and Travis' buttocks feel better in time for the game.

Oh, and before I forget, please read Jorga's fanpost on coaching. Nothing like bringing fresh perspective to the table. Thanks, Jorga!

Per Dwight this AM - "Sam’s (Smith) reporting that the Trail Blazers have offered Travis Outlaw for Memphis point guard (and old Greg Oden teammate) Mike Conley. Sam seems to think that’s not enough to get Conley but I’d say it’s more than enough."

Granted it is Sam Smith, so the B.S. meter is running high, but if Dwight is mentioning it, it might not be complete hooey.
