As per a Fox Sports article. Honestly, after 1 game? Gotta love the national media.

Bleeding Green Nation State of the Eagles at the Linc

I had the pleasure of attending the State of the Eagles last night at the Linc. It was a very nice event with some high profile Eagles figures in attendance including Jeffrey Lurie, Joe Banner, Howie Roseman, and the broadcasting duo of Merrill Reese and Mike Quick. The front office trio even took questions from the people in attendance. It was a nice way of putting personalities to the public figures.

Lurie was pretty charming during his speech and Q&A session. Banner came off a little better than I would have expected, but in the end he was still Joe Banner. He talked about making hard dollars and sense decisions. I like the guy a little bit more than I did, but that's not saying much. Howie Roseman came off as a really big football fan and someone who genuinely loves his job. He talked about the scouting process and how interesting it is to watch our draft picks develop. He also talked how quickly most of our draft picks were able to transition to their game from college to the NFL. Specifically Brandon Graham, Nate Allen, and Trevard Lindley. He seems like someone who loves his job immensely.

More after the jump.

Bleeding Green Nation Had my FF draft. What do you guys think?

So I had my main league's FF draft last evening. It was a long, drunken ordeal. I tried to stay true to my "Don't drink and draft" motto, but wasn't as strong willed as I would have liked. That said, I wanted to see what you hooligans thought of my draft results. I had 2nd pick overall in a standard scoring, non-PPR league. We start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2WRs, 1 Flex WR/RB, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 DST. Roster after the jump.

Bleeding Green Nation Tight End

We all know Brett Selek is going to be the starting, but do you think Cornelius Engram will challenge him in training camp? He should be back and healthy after a disappointing injury in camp last year.  It will be interesting to see what Clay Harbour shows us during camp as well. I think he could replace Brett Selek at TE. Does anyone else miss LJ Smith? I know I do.

Blogging the Boys has blown up a screen cap of the Cowboys draft board. Nothing spectacular, but an interesting look inside the FO of our most heated rival.

Fantasy Decision

I kind of got saddled with some not so hot talent at the TE position for my fantasy team. I have been trying to figure out who I should start between Chris Cooley and Brent Celek. So I turn to youse guys for a little bit of help. I am thinking that Celek against Carolina's D is a better match up than Cooley against the Giants D. Any thoughts or insights would be much appreciated.
