Music City Miracles Fisher wasn't the only one who didn't trust VY.

I just read this article on CNN SI by Don Banks.  According to this, most of the locker room didn't trust Vince, either:

Adams Chooses Fisher over Young

According to Banks's source, other than five or six of VY's close friends, the rest of the locker room did not have faith in him.  The source goes as far as saying that there would be a long line of players at Reinfeldt's office requesting a trade if VY were in charge of the offense next year.  The players were tired of the immaturity as well as his inability to seamlessly call plays in the huddle.  This pretty much sums it up:

"The fact that he still has a hard time calling plays in the huddle, that's a problem for us," a Titans source said. "There's not indifference here about Vince. There's some serious animosity. A lot of guys would want out of here if he came back. Everyone knows he's the guy who's supposed to drive the car, he's supposed to be our leader. But he doesn't do the things you have to have your quarterback do. Guys can't trust him. Even after all this time. It had to start with not having No. 10 back here."

No indifference.  Serious animosity.  A lot of guys would want out of here if [Vince] came back.  I think that's a lot more negativity than most people were aware existed among his teammates.

That makes  it pretty clear that this isn't a matter of Fisher running VY out of town.  People keep saying that Fisher had lost the locker room, but if you believe this "source," then VY had lost it as well.  I'm not sure who will QBing the Titans next year, but after reading this, I'm more convinced that it should be someone besides #10.

Music City Miracles Does anyone here use NFL Game Rewind?

I'm a Titans fan who lives in the Philadelphia area.  I've been fortunate to have seen the first 3 Titans games as I was at LP field for the Raiders game and saw the Steelers and Giants games on TV.  Looks like I'll get to see the next 3, too, since the Cowboys game will be aired here, the Jags are on MNF and the Eagles game will obviously get priority here in PA.  However, for the other non-primetime games, I thought it might be nice to have access to NFL Game Rewind.  My only problem would be avoiding the TV and Internet all day Sunday so I don't ruin the game for myself.  Anyone here use this?  If so, what's your opinion?

Music City Miracles TJ Houshmandzadeh expected to be released by Seattle

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81a414ff/article/seahawks-expected-to-part-ways-with-wr-houshmandzadeh

Should the Titans go after him?  He's a nine year vet who, if I remember correctly, has put up decent numbers consistently.  He's definitely someone who could come in and help us out right away.  Well worth clearing a roster spot for, in my opinion.  He probably won't come cheap, but I think the Titans could afford to sign him.

Music City Miracles Gregg Williams rips the Bills

Our former defensive coordinator, who left to coach the Bills and is now the DC for the NFC Champs, ripped Buffalo on quite a few levels.  Talk about getting zinged...he points out that the Bills, who have been searching for a QB for years now, could have had Brees if they'd drafted him like he wanted.  Then he proceeds to say that he's glad they didn't draft him because if they did, he might still be in Buffalo coaching.  This just made me laugh.

Eat it, Bills.

Music City Miracles Texans want Munchak...

as their O-coordinator according to the Tennessean:

http://blogs.tennessean.com/titans/2010/01/04/munchak-a-o-c-candidate-with-texans/

This would be a huge loss for the Titans if  Munch goes.  He's done so much to get talent out of our draft picks and turn them into solid players.  I'd hate to see him go.  Hopefully the Texans have this spot filled by someone else and Munch stays in Nashville.

Music City Miracles Finally, Fisher!

Fisher finally says he'll give Rod Hood a chance to start over Harper...can anyone say "too little, too late?"  For crying out loud.  On the bright side, since Harper is an unrestricted free agent, maybe this will be the last time we'll ever get to see him get torched while wearing Titans' blue.  And maybe Hood will get some playing time next year.

Music City Miracles No wonder Gage is sore...

Justin Gage fractured several bones in his back when he landed after going up to make that leaping catch.  He stayed in the game, too...must be one tough guy.  Hopefully he'll be back before long; he's really stepped his game up as of late.  Does anyone have any idea if this type of injury is season-ending?  The article says that there's no danger of a spinal injury, and he's able to move his hands and feet with no problem.

Music City Miracles Last year's draft grades

We all know that it's pointless to judge a draft the day after, yet the "experts" do so, as Pete Prisco writes, because fans love to read them:

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/story/11680126

One of the comments left by a reader linked to Prisco's 2008 draft grades:

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/10802077

This should further drive home the point that anything we read about the Titans' draft picks today doesn't amount to squat.  A few bits and pieces of last year's profound prognostications from Prisco.  Be sure to check out the caption under Crazy Legs' photo.

Titans

best pick: Lavelle Hawkins.  He knows how to get open.

[Note by DoofusOfErasmus, 04/27/09 11:54 AM EDT ]
Yeah, he was so open that he caught 7 passes for 68 yards.

most questionable pick: Chris JohnsonThe Titans had more pressing needs.

Enough said.  But take a look at these:

Ravens

Questionable move: Trading up to get quarterback Joe Flacco. They probably could have stayed at 26 and still landed him. Plus, Brian Brohm and Chad Henne were better options.

Overall grade: C. They reached for Flacco and I didn't really like the pick of Ray Rice in the second round.

Falcons

Questionable move: Taking Matt Ryan third overall. If Dorsey goes on to be a star and Ryan isn't the franchise passer they expect, look out.

Overall grade: B. I wouldn't have selected Ryan third overall, but they needed a passer. I get it. The rest of the draft was very good.

It's like picking stocks by having monkeys throw darts.
